Saying good bye to Fantasy Nails on Burrard and coming back to Merle Norman at Metrotown. Had a lovely chat with a lady on Monday and can’t wait to come back.

Got piercing done here. The girl who did it seemed unprofessional and hands were shaking while doing it. They used a gun. Better to get them done at a tattoo place since you’re paying the same amount of money.

Came here for a french gel set and its really expensive. My gel nails broke, chipped, and lifted within a week. If I’m paying $ 80.00+ tax + tip I expect high quality. Sadly not at this place. And ladies please don’t get your ears or nose periced here they use guns and guns aren’t sanitary.

This is for Merle Norman at Willowbrook in Langley, not for Metrotown (they show up as the same place).
I went to for brows and it’s basically an assembly line. The girl sat me down, put me in front of a horrible mirror with horrible lighting, and started in on me with wax before I even said what I wanted… No time spent asking me what I wanted, what I might consider, or what she thought might look nice on me.
When I got home, my brows were too dark, too thick, and too short. The arch I spent so long growing was gone! Sorry, won’t go back there again for brows. Love their cosmetics and skin care, though. Great service for that.

i went in for a brazilian today and id have to say, im dissapointed. i thought the lady named judy understood what a brazilian was (other than its not suppose to be painful, really?) i wish i did bring a mirror to fully inspect the job done, damn, i even tipped her! (plus i didnt know that there was an extra charge to get ur behind done — first time ever that ive heard of such thing, but of course she gave it to me as a freebie since it wasnt actually done properly, f***) she was also pushy with selling me their products– i understand upsell but once ive told you no, i guess that means no all the way. overall, it was slightly better than kat salon in north van-​she wore gloves during the procedure! if i had more time to get things done before my trip i would have travelled all the way to granville island to see sharon from beauty and beyond!!!

This place is busy since it’s located in Metrotown mall, but I’ve found that someone will always attend to you. They do push their products a little here, but it suits me fine as their stuff works well with my complexion. I have yet to do a facial at this location, but the prices are really good… deluxe facial (an hour’s worth of deep cleanse and massage) goes for $ 65.
