If you want to know what lousy customer service means, go their Men’s section. Same lady all the time trying to teach you instead of doing her job. Not one time, I went their once gave it a shot again, same high headed attitude. Have started going to downtown or Coquitlam centre now, feel extremely disappointed.

Not the most glamourous of their locations but with the new Skytrain and new condos being built, The Bay will be a dandy. Love the cosmetic counters, it seems the further you go out away from DT, you get more samples lol. The Origins lady’s great; she gave the sample of their mask, and the best thing, even more so than cleaning up the pores, is the product is VERY gentle on the skin… most times, of the few I’ve used in the past, it would feel like it’s burning on the skin; yet I’m not allergic to anything. Like the fact that when the mask hardens within 10 min tops, even 5 min if you’re in a rush for bed, it’s easy to wipe off with warm water, or time to hop into the shower anyways. Next morning, the skin’s as smooth as silk ;)

What happened to this store? is going to be my first question. I do realize that certain stores may get more attention due to the kind of traffic that they do get into their store. But perhaps it would do better if presentation of goods and re-stocking your items on your shelves would help the store a lot. I went in looking for a tie clip. They only had 6 in stock, and 2 of the designs were repeat so really they had 4. 4~! really?! I was a little disappointed. I ended up buying one anyways because I couldn’t really find any other nice ones in the mall, and settled on one. But to my luck it was on sale~ even though there was no signage saying the tie clip was on sale. Unless it was old stock and the price of it has been reduced since it’s been sitting in the case for a very long time. I also picked out a sweater to purchase and there was no price tag on it only sticker with a SKU number. They couldn’t find any other one like it and they ended up scanning a different sweater and selling it to me for that price. The staff here is pretty nice and will help you if they can ~ to the best of their abilities. That is if you can get someone to help you. It took me a while and waiting about to wait for staff member to assist me. Ok– Ok — Ok, I’m going to be really honest here. There is a part of me that actually really likes going to this Bay location and it’s because every time I go in here to shop, which is like once in a blue moon, Is because I always seem to get a really good deal. Like UNBELIEVABLE! The trick is though, you have to REALLY look for what you’re trying to find. Every time for me it has been looking for a needle in a haystack. You’re kind of looking through a messy pile of hay, with little piles of hay scattered about the store, but when you find that needle… that one tiny little needle … it just might be 50%-75% off.

Understaffed, poor customer service for a store of its size and variety. Dropped by The Bay in Lougheed Mall for some last minute Christmas shopping before work; and I managed to find some pretty cute stuff in the jewellery section. However, when I went up to a associate behind the watches counter to pay for my stuff, he told me that I would have to pay for it by the jewellery counter. So I went over to jewellery counter only to see that the lady associate was busy helping a couple choose out rings and whatnot, I stood behind them for a good 10 minutes(with a couple guys behind me). But the lady associate didn’t even seem to acknowledge us and just continued to help the couple(measuring ring size, finding the right boxes). And I looked over to the watches counter to see that the previous associate(who told me he couldn’t help me) was helping another customer check-out. Really annoyed, I walked over and asked politely, «Sir, can you check these out for me? The lady seems to be really busy over there.» And the man just stares at me and says in a really annoyed tone, «I can’t check those out, you have to go there.» I am really frustrated at this point and asked, «Well, she seems really busy at the moment, is there any other check-out then?» And the guy just tells me in a flat tone, «There are, but I don’t know if they’ll check out jewellery,» and he just sits back down on his chair ignoring me. By this point, the lady associate was still with the couple. So I left the store. Couldn’t be bothered. And won’t be bothered to try again in the future.

I’ve been annoyed with The Bay’s makeup section for many years now. Chronically understaffed. My last experience at The Bay will be MYLAST experience at The Bay. I went to the Dior counter to return a nail polish I had bought a couple of days earlier. It made my nails peel horribly. I stood at Dior for about 10 minutes while a staff member at the next counter, about a foot away from me, did another customer’s makeup and didn’t even acknowledge me. I browsed the products to kill some time. Then an associate finally showed up and asked if I needed assistance. Um, yes. I told her I needed to do a return and presented the product with my receipt. Told her why. She then claimed the consistency of the product«looked strange» and proceeded to grab another nail polish for comparison(I guess implying I’d taken out the«real» product and replaced it with water or something?). She then told me it was supposed to be used as a top coat(implying I’d used it incorrectly). ITISNOT. It was the Dior Nail Glow. Why is this woman at the Dior counter when she knows nothing about the products? She then asked if I’d like to exchange it, I said no just a return thanks. Overall I’m really displeased with this terrible service, especially for a product that you can buy for $ 2CHEAPER at Sephora, and skip the attitude from staff.

Contrary to previous Bay review, I shopped at Bay at Lougheed Mall and received excellent service from associate Helen. I look forward to returning to this service. Much different from Metrotown Bay.

I showed up here with money to spend. Lots of money. And all I wanted was some Team Canada Olympic gear. Being the one and only official outfitter of the Canadian Olympic team, I expected a lot. Or at least just a hoodie… which I was prepared to spend upwards of $ 80 on. They had nothing. Absolutely nothing… except for some stuffed animals, overpriced postcards, and toddler gear. They were cleaned out. Not even a proper size T-shirt. Not even one that would fit my wife. The Olympics is on for at least one more week, and they’re out of Team Canada gear. Wow.
