The family felt like burgers and onion rings, so we headed to White Spot. We ordered 2 burgers, both with onion rings, a $ 6 shrimp gyoza, halibut and fries, and some winter ale. I think the food was good overall. I wasn’t a fan of the shrimp gyoza – I don’t think it was good. Everything else, however, tasted pretty good. The onion rings and fries were a little soft and less crispy, but I actually prefer it that way.

We only go to White Spot restaurants to meet people who want to eat there. Their food is decent but overpriced for the quality. You can find these items at other establishments for either better quality or value. This is a great place for families with children The 1 item that never disappoints are their seasonal pies. So perhaps I should just stick to that and their bottomless coffee.

Not a fan if this location, I find it outdated and dingy. When I was there last, my bun and meat on my hamburger was burnt… I don’t know how they would send it out like that, where are their standards? I sent it back and got a non burnt one. The waitress was quite rude… I was shocked how a waitress would have so much attitude… for being just a waitress. Never have been back since… and never will.

So bad. Awful. Second time we’ve been to a White Spot, tried to give it another chance after the first time resulted in the world’s worst onion rings. This time was worse. Our server was fabulous and friendly but the food was just horrible. Like, inedible horrible… Paid $ 6 for a little appetizer but it was burnt and really tiny even for just two people(original $ 9.99)… It was tasty enough but not worth the price by far. Then the restaurant was out of gravy. Couldn’t have informed us before they served our order, oh no. So the fries were cold. They were wrinkly on the outside and mealy-textured inside. Even gravy wouldn’t have helped hide how bad they were. The hamburger. Oh. My. God! I could’ve gotten a bigger patty from a McDonald’s happy meal — tiniest little burger I’ve ever seen. It was burnt on the outside and red on the inside. The bun was stale enough that they might as well have served me beef jerky on a cracker(except for the spot on top of the bun where they placed the pickle, that was so soggy I actually gagged). No complaints about the boysenberry pie. The $ 4 Bellini was a good deal even with the sticky contents dripping down the sides of the overfilled martini glass. And again, our server was great. The food was outright disgusting though. Never going to another White Spot again. I’d recommend Red Robin or just about any other burger place instead.

I phoned to make a reservation and the host is very rude. Basically screaming at me on the phone when I aked for a booth seat for our infant who would be in her car seat. She is too young for a high chair and we didn’t want to put her seat on the floor. The food was ok. The whole phone experience turned me off to the chain.

What a lazy bunch of employees here. Service is poor, they mingle with their friends when on shift. Fortunately, the food is relatively consistent, depending on the chef but portions are getting smaller and prices increasing. Bring back the old classic White Spot and have the managers get tougher with their employees(too bad good employees in the service industry are getting harder to find).

I like White Spot. The food is pretty consistent and the service is usually OK. I’ve been to this location a few times to meet up with friends who live nearby. I came here today to do the same. Arrived at 6:30pm and was seated pretty quickly. Server came by quickly and offered to take my drink order as I waited for my friends to shuffle in. When they all arrived the server took their drink orders and brought them quickly. We had the burgers which are always pretty yummy. Like I said, I like White Spot’s food and this place did a good job at being consistent. I only gave this location an OK rating because I always find the service to be a little slow once the meals hit the table. The servers don’t seem to come around often enough and I’ve found more than a few times that my water or pop glass was empty. It’s OK, but servers at other locations I’ve been to seem to be more attentive. Maybe it’s the number of staff. I’m not sure, but it’s not up to me to troubleshoot this issue. That’s not to say the staff isn’t friendly because they certainly are. But there is definitely room for improvement at this location.

Took my mom in for her birthday as it has been a family favorite years! We both ordered fish & chips and a drink(orange juice for her and beer for me) We waited 30 min for the fish and chips old to get soggy, very greasy fish that was Luke warm & chips that where dried out. Bet part was after we left deciding to never go back we both felt sick for two days… Not sure what happend but the quality of this white spot is gone! Plus the portion size is half of what it was months ago!

Busy location, service was really good. I ordered what I always do, chicken strips and a Caesar. My salad was wilted and sad, and the croutons were actually mush. Why prep a salad so far ahead of time? Gross!!! Oh well, ten dollar dinner!

Average food, fun atmosphere. The service is usually great, and the quality is the same as most other whitespot restaurants, Overall I’d reccomend it to others.

I’m not a particularly fond of chain restaurants, but there are some that know how to cater to a family. White Spot has a large menu that can cater to your pickiest little eaters. Service was excellent and friendly even at 9:00AM in the morning. It’s not fine dining, but for what it is, they know how to do it right.

I used to be a huge White Spot fan back in high school when you could get a BC burger and water for $ 10 with tax and tip(I did mention in high school). White Spot’s definitely changed and has gone the way of trying to class up their restaurants, which is fine, I guess. I do believe the portions have gotten bigger, but of course, so have the prices. I came to this particular location expecting what I always expect from White Spot: friendly family-oriented servers, an entrée that I’ll only be able to finish half of, and endless fries. The first hiccup was whoever answered the phone decided not to write down my reservation. Upon arriving and having a table arranged for us, another host? server? manager? came up and demanded my name and # of guests I was with despite me telling him twice we had already been helped… I ordered the beef dip(Spot sized, one of my go tos besides the BC burger) and it arrived lukewarm at best with its accompanying au jus also lukewarm. The fries were clumped together in multiple balls and also not very fresh. I had to ask twice for hot au jus, which was disappointing since I ordered beef dip and, to me anyway, drowning my sandwich in au jus is mandatory. Besides the below par food, the service was terrible. Our server had some sort of attitude and seemed to be in a rush to get away from us all night. I think our requests were pretty standard… more water, some more napkins, more fries please. We all asked nicely and were extremely patient, but it seemed to get worse as the evening went. I still do love indulging in White Spot here and there, but I will say I won’t be returning to this location. The service I’ve received at White Spots in White Rock has been superior to that I’ve received in Vancouver. Suburbs are where it’s at, I guess.

I love this White Spot just as much as I love every White Spot… too much! I could eat a Legendary burger with the veggie patty 3 times a day every day of my life and never get tired of it! Keep on keepin’ on White Spot!

One thing that seems to be consistent is lack of quick customer service. Usually i find i have to wait a few minutes at the front to be seated before anyone noticing you. But it’s got one of the better WS bar’s/lounge seating area on the right, enough TVs to watch a game. Good size parking lot, with another opening from the back alley.

White spots of today are substantially different from the white spot of yesterday. Gone are the old décor that gave each of them a gloomy 80s diner look like A&W joints. I usually dont eat at chain restaurants but this white spot is in a convenient location(ie. beside stronghold). I have visited this location on serval occasions and now compiling all my experiences into one and white spot should be proud of themselves. I really do like the direction the menu is going. Its very fresh, varied, and simple. Im a heavy carbs eater, i cant function without it, so naturally pasta is the #1 choice. Their pasta choices are plentiful, colourful, and decently priced for the portions you receive. The tuscan chicken pasta was very flavourful and fresh, and the chicken was real chicken and not some frozen looking, chewy texture flesh you get in those TV dinners. The same can be said for their spag and meatballs. Oh boy were those meatballs good, they were certainly fresh and not again some frozen PoS. The balls were moist, the onions, garlic, and herbs inside visible, and seasoned! Pasta itself was al dante, no complaints. Service on all occasions were fantastic, frequent walk-bys, and decent meal prep times. I would recommend this location if your looking for some healthy white chain food.

Visited this location for lunch last week. A co-worker and I were on our way to a workshop close to this location so we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. We both had the fish and chips and they were okay. There was a TON of breading compared to the amount of fish on the inside. I would not return for this dish ever again, I guess I should have stuck to a burger? Our server was so awkward that it was painful. He literally stood 4 feet away from our table when we were ordering, I wasn’t even sure if he was talking to us he was so far away. When it came time to pay he wanted to know if we wanted anything wrapped up(we were on our way to a workshop and had no access to a refrigerator so obviously we didn’t want our food to go) and when we said no he took this as that our food had been awful. He was so weird about it, especially since we explained why we didn’t want it wrapped up…

Went here yesterday for Thanksgiving dinner(a bargain at 15 dollars). Service was really nice and the portions are always generous here. One of us was running a little late but our server was really understanding and didn’t seem put out at all. What precludes this from being a four-star rating is that there were several occasions where our server would disappear and we were left wondering if she’d clocked off and not told us. I feel mean writing this as she was super lovely but there were like 15 people in the restaurant, tops. The décor has remained the same since I lived in Vancouver 6 years ago so it might benefit from a little facelift. Other than that, really happy with the food, the service, the cleanliness of the place. We were so stoked with our dessert — a lovely sticky pumpkin tart for 3 dollars! You can’t grumble over that, right?

Only a frogger game away… The office I work for is still mourning the loss of New Age, walking by like sad, little stalkers, checking to see if anything new pops up. Nada. So instead we are opting to running across Kingsway like frogs in the game of frogger to get a quick burger. After getting our heart rate up, it seems only fair to reward myself with a burger. Like I’ve said before… I do this to myself… I stuff myself full of food because they just dish out so much. The burger is a quarter of the platter with the fries occupying half and a ice cream scoop of coleslaw on the other quarter. It’s too much. If anything has to be sacrificed and left behind, it will be the fries. If I don’t mind using the far crosswalk, then they will all get eaten with a healthy side of gravy. The burgers have the softest buns… the meat is usually the flattest piece of meat ever, but it’s jammed with so many toppings, it’s okay. I usually get Chuck’s Favourite Burger… blue brie with portobello mushrooms. Wow. Everything getting all gushy with every bite! The last time I was here though, I showed a little bit of restraint and ordered just a legendary… because it came with a milkshake. Ahahaa… restraint. Their hand dipped milkshakes are a little thin, but I love that the vanilla had actual vanilla bean seeds in it… otherwise something went horribly wrong and I just thought they were. Eat the coleslaw. I always feel bad for it… usually the only thing left on the plate by others… I like it… Every server I get there is wonderful. Always friendly, always quick… especially the Al Pacino look-a-like.
