White Spot

me & my bf would choose the restaurant a lot ever since he tried the mango chutney & fell in love with it. the last time we went they had changed their menu & removed it. I decided to try the new Mac & cheese burger & he tried the fish tacos. wow We definitely felt ripped off that night. the burger had barely any Mac & cheese in it I couldn’t even taste it. I was actually worried that it would be a weird mix but literally nothing In it. the tacos my bf got were so small too he wasn’t full even though we had calamari to start. but we didn’t order anything else because the price is a bit high. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but find myself here eating at other white spots as the family enjoys it.

DO NOT order the Mexicali Fish Tacos! They are the worst I’ve ever had! They were sooo small! They were literally the width of my finger, so sad! It was all batter that was dark in colour; they gotta change the frying oil or something?! I should have cut one in half and taken a photo.
My kids had the pirate pack fish and chips that looked way better. Why couldn’t have they put the fish from the kids’ menu into the fish tacos?
I had to order something else to fill me. The bottomless fries were good, but not good for my health. So I ordered the shrimp gyoza ($ 6, since it was after 8 pm) which made up for the terrible fish tacos.

It’s our 5^th time here at White Spot at this location and this is the best White Spot location!
We love the servers the place is clean as well. Location is very convenient as well.
The price in my opinion is very reasonable.
The Happy Hour appetizers for only $ 6 is the best as well. We always order their Nat’s Crispy Ribs with Whiskey BBQ sauce and also a separate order of the sesame Hoisin Sauce!
Really yummy! I can eat two orders of their crispy ribs. The portion was good too.
We also ordered the Chicken Curry Broccoli and Cheese with their really good Caesar Salad on the side and comes with Jasmine rice. Really yummy! The Curry is my favourite food there. :)
Their bacon beets burger was also very yummy.
Will definitely go back here for sure!

Came here for dinner tonight and it was busy but we got a table pretty quickly. The server was super nice and service was good. We brought 2 bottles of wine and corkage fee was $ 10. Super! We dialed it up and brought a decent CDP wine and the server seemed impressed. We orders 3 appies and 4 entrees. Food was average — nothing spectacular but what you would expect for White Spot. The manager was very attentive and seemed to show up at our table when we needed something. Enjoyed the night. Even though food was mediocre the service was pretty good. I also picked up free wifi too which was a bonus

The service is really slow here, all different times of day/​throughout the week. Large location with a nice lounge area so you can escape the screaming running wild children! Hubs and I come here to watch the game as its close to home. Food often takes a really long time and arrives on plates too hot to touch (sits around forever!) Now that I pen this review I realize I should try harder to find somewhere better to watch the game! lol

This location is new to me, however, not new to the area. I came here ’cause I came to do some other shopping in the area. Very good service, Food came out promptly and good ambience. Being in the day and not really walk by traffic it was reasonably quiet that I could do some writing on my lap top.

You get what you expect with White Spot. Consistently great food and attentive service. This location is awesome due to the separation between the bar and the restaurant. A great Canadian restaurant chain!

I’m a fan of White Spot restaurants. They are kid friendly and a Canadian chain.
This one in particular always has parking, attentive staff and located in a plaza for me to do my grocery shopping after.
I had the Shrimp Florentine Benedict, which has English muffin topped with sautéed spinach, baby shrimp, two poached eggs with hollandaise & fresh dill. I dug in right away because I was so hungry and forgot to take a picture. It’s definitely one of the better brunch items here.

Great ambiance, delicious food, exceptional sevice.
The food was way too good I ate till my stomach came out. Our server was really helpful and experienced. She helped us choose the perfect dish for us (my family). The ribs were verry juicy and tasty.
Good to go after work on fridays or any other time.

Solid chain restaurant. I can’t knock this place on its food as it’s usually good. Some of their dishes aren’t fresh. They basically throw it in the microwave, heat it up and serve. Heck, I went there on Saturday and my sister in law had a hair in her burger! All in all, it’s not a high end restaurant, but they know how to make a good meal.

I always come back to enjoy White Spot while I am in town, this location is possibly their best restaurant.
Parking is good here and the service excellent. The place feels like a nice golf restaurant.
The food at this location seems better than other locations I’ve been to in the city. I can’t explain it, but even the burgers seem better or fresher.
I’ll be back to this location soon!

This is a great White Spot location. It’s bright and clean and there’s always lots of parking available. I’ve never had to wait too long for a table and service has always been quick and attentive.
I still miss the chicken puff pastry (which was discontinued a couple of years ago in favour of the current chicken pot pie [not recommended]) and the Puerto Vallarta salad (yes, I’m old school, I doubt anyone else remembers it) but the burgers are good (albeit slightly over priced). I also like that they have interesting feature items that change seasonally.
Lately my favourite White Spot dishes have been the Dippin’ Chicken (chicken strips) with the Spot’s Salad (a garden salad with tomato basil salsa, cranberries, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds with honey sherry dressing) and the Bacon Cheddar Bigger Burger. I also really enjoy White Spot’s coleslaw.
I really appreciate the attentiveness of the servers; my water glass is never empty for long.
This is definitely my favourite White Spot.

expensive burgers that you can get from any other restaurant that cost ½ the price.
quality and taste doesn’t justify the cost.

Surprised reventing themselves to cater to today’s crowd, A+. The food is outstanding and the marketing matches. I have not been in a long while and I would most definately go back! Salads are fantastic and I understand if you order fries with your meal, they are non-​stop fries, or neverending fries, so if you want more fries you get more fries and only pay for them once. Don’t quote me on that.
I love this place! Can’t wait to go back!

I don’t know why, but I have always really enjoyed White Spot.
From pirate packs to triple o burgers… This chain has been a BC staple for as long as I’ve been dining out with my parents.
The service at this location has always been great, food served promptly with a smile. My mom and I really enjoy coming here for a quick and easy brunch on the weekends. We’ve never waited more than 10 minutes for a table, to boot. The staff is polite and the servers work for their tip, which is always nice to see!
What lost a star for me though, is the food quality. Sometimes, the dishes are brought right away and are tasty. Burgers are well seasoned, fish and chips perfectly battered — the plates look exactly like the ones from the menu! However, once we had to flag down our server twice to ask her to check on our burgers. I have a feeling they just plum forgot and when the plates arrived the burgers were sloppy. Needless to say we weren’t impressed. We mentioned our displeasure to our server who was more than happy to adjust our bill to compensate for the slow order and careless presentation (after all, you eat with your eyes first!).

I’m giving it 5 stars for the excellent service. My friend and I wanted to go somewhere to chat and have a snack, and we didn’t want to go to Starbucks. We weren’t sure where to go, so we checked Unilocal for what was available near us. We decided on White Spot despite the bad review, and we’re very happy we did, the food was good and the service was excellent. We stayed late, and I kept thinking they would want to kick us out, but they were very friendly, and gave us none of those «when the hell are they going to leave» looks. We were so happy with the friendly service that we went back a week later to have dinner. We’ll keep going back.

Was in with my husband, and for the second time in as many weeks, the burger was undercooked. Disgusting. We asked to speak with the Manager. When she came over to our table, she did not say sorry once, but argued with us as to just how undercooked it was! She was sarcastic, unprofessional, and had the worst attitude. When we told her we didn’t appreciate how she was treating us, all she did was smirk at us. She did nothing to try and keep us as patrons, so we are NEVER returning. White Spot, you should not have this woman representing you. You have lost 2 customers and you don’t seem to care.

Pretty consistent, a west coast tradition
How can you not like White Spot. It’s a West Coast tradition. Everything from great burgers to rice bowls and stir fries, or if you like even traditional turkey dinner.
It’s a chain that you won’t find many places outside of British Columbia, and if you are looking for consistently tasty, reasonably fast food that won’t break your budget, it’s a reasonable option.
