Advanpro Furnace And Duct Cleaning

Had a bizarrely bad experience with Blake from Advanpro.
We had a pretty straightforward job — we needed a dryer exhaust vent plumbed to the outside of our house. My wife called Advanpro, and was told that they’d call back the next Tuesday to arrange an appointment. The next Tuesday came and went, so she called them back, and they said that they were actually planning to call us the *next* Tuesday. Ok, fine, mistakes happen.
The next Tuesday, Blake from Advanpro called a bit before noon. I called him back, and he said he was waiting in front of my house. Our understanding was that Advanpro would call to set up a time, and not just show up on our doorstep, so I wasn’t at home. Blake said he wasn’t willing to wait for me to come back, so he said he’d call back later in the day.
When he did call back later in the day, he said that he’d already come to our house, knocked on the door, and rang the bell. This was a surprise to me since I’d spent the whole afternoon sitting at my desk literally four meters from our front door, and for most of the afternoon there had been two other people at home with me. Mysteriously, none of us had heard Blake’s supposed ringing and knocking.
During this second call, Blake was both surly and hard to understand. He gave the impression that he was still right around the corner, so we agreed he might as well come in and do the work. We waited several more minutes, but when he didn’t show up, we called him one last time. When we reached him, he declared that he wasn’t interested in the job since he’d already come by twice, which was fine with us since we were no longer interested in him doing the job either.
Don’t trust Advanstar’s positive reviews on Homestars — the last contractor we found on Homestars offered to give us a gift if we gave him a good review, something which is expressly prohibited on Unilocal.Blake from Advanpro didn’t get two one star reviews on Unilocal by chance; send your business elsewhere.

Was promised a top of the line air purification system. It was only partially installed and then they never showed up to complete the job. Wires are left hanging with install incomplete. After 3 phones calls and promises that they would come to finish I gave up.
