Rude manager. When I was telling her about my return problem she rolled her eyes. I was shocked. Never going to that store

I used to go to Artizia a lot and really liked it, but now I am sort of getting off of it. I have some REALLY great pieces from here, like their classic fall and winter jackets, various skirts, their fitted tank tops, and some nicer blouses and dresses, but I also have a lot of clothes that have been completely ruined by nothing other than normal, everyday wear, and get holes in them days after purchasing. I don’t think I would mind this so much if it weren’t so expensive. I also get frustrated by their change room situation(though it may have changed, I haven’t been there in a while). Personally I am pretty awkward so I don’t like the absence of a mirror in each change room; getting out into the open to check out how I look is really intimidating for me and I really despise doing it. Staff are usually really nice though and always really helpful!

I love Aritzia and frequently shop there both online and in-store. However, I will no longer be visiting the Chinook location. The last time I was there, I was with my friend and our kids, both two years of age. We were in the change room trying on clothes while our children were quietly picking up rocks that were in a plant display directly beside us. At one point my friend’s child lightly threw a rock across the floor, like most kids his age would do, and went to pick it up. The manager of the store(I assume) quickly picked it up before he could grab it and stuck it in her pocket, and was very short with him. I understand that this can be disruptive on a very busy day… but it was ten in the morning… on a Tuesday… and we were practically the only ones in the store. It made us feel very unwelcome and I have actually gotten that vibe from the same girl previous times when I have brought my daughter in with me. I am a full time working professional who has money to spend but I will not be helping any of the sales girls at Chinook meet their $ 500/hr quota any longer. I’ve had much better experiences at the Southcentre location so I will go there from now on.

Yikes, I decided to try on a skirt here and felt completely unwelcome. My bags were locked up and was asked if I had anything else when I was clearly holding only one skirt. I was taken to the fitting room and was shocked that there was only one mirror outside of the room. If you want to see how you look you are forced to stand in front of everyone. The only other store I’ve seen this in is Sirens where they sell items for $ 5. While I was changing the staff then started to talk loudly about if security would be working tonight. Lovely clothes but I had a terrible experience.

I really like the clothes and service at Aritzia and I shop there often, but please stop taking my purse & parcels from me in the fitting room. There is absolutely no reason for this and I have yet to find another business who does this practice.

I went on a mini shopping spree this weekend, as I was on the hunt for cream sweaters, loving the clothes here, although they generally don’t fit. Being an XS at 5’7can be a nightmare, especially in a store that has a lot of small shoppers. I had a wonderful girl helping me in the change room, took all my stuff and what not, wasn’t pushy and so forth. I ended for once findinging a ton of things I liked, seeing as I wanted to mix with clothes at home I did the buy lots and I’ll return when said and done. I know they are pricey, but I have no complaints with the quality. All their clothes have lasted me a long time and hold up well over time.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Bought a white hoodie at Aritzia. After wearing it a couple of times, the zipper broke. I took it back asking if they could please repair the zipper or replace the hoodie. Answer: NOPE to both!!! Bottom line: Staff at Aritzia will swarm you like a flock of vultures looking at a carcass when trying to sell you something, lie through their teeth telling you how great you look… even when you know the fit is terrible, but you are shunned if you need help with a faulty product. Emailed the head office in Vancouver and they said they don’t warranty any of their products. Same attitude as their store staff. So, buyer beware!

I often feel like every female my age in Calgary shops at Aritzia. There is nothing more disconcerting than realizing that you and ten of your friends all own the same sweater but in different colours and vaguely different designs. Several of my friends are on the record as saying that’s because Aritzia is the only place to find nice clothes in Calgary. I disagree, and maybe that’s because my tastes run a little quirkier or I just prefer to be a little unique. They do have great clothes, though not always quality ones. I’m well endowed and am hardly a stick, but I’ve still found some pretty cute items. I just get frustrated when my 30 dollar tank top pills hardcore after two washes. Despite all these facts, a goodly part of my wardrobe is still made up of clothing from Aritzia. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. They take your selections to the fitting rooms for you, and after you’ve made a decision take the purchases up to the register. I used to work in retail, and so when this first happened I was really offended. «I’m not going to steal anything!» I wanted to snap at the girl, until I realized they were doing this to all of the customers. I admit to feeling slightly smothered with all the help. I don’t always like it.
