Finally checked this place out since my mother in law raves about it. Thought, why not? Open mind. Walking around the store and checking their items out… I noticed everything is fragranced. Some a little and some allot. Reading the ingrediants, everything seemed to have allot of chemicals. Not really my thing. Service was good and the store was clean and well laid out. Didn’t buy anything and most likely wouldn’t for myself. To me it’s more of an old lady kinda store. A place where you would buy something for your mom or grandma a birthday/Christmas gift.

Bath and Body works in Canada is just as great as in the USA. Yes the prices are a little bit more, but there are the same great sales, the endles amount of products and the same chipper staff. I have gone to BABW for a few years now and always got stuff like hand soaps candles etc, but they recently expanded their mens collection with scents and body washes made just for guys. For the price they are alot more refined and of better quality than the typical stuff you could find at say, Shoppers Drug Mart or similar. Take advantage of the great sales, they seem to be happening every weekend. They also make hands down the best candles and scented oil diffusers… expensive? A little, but worth every penny. There are some scents that although not made for guys are still pretty cool, like rainkissed leaves, fresh linen etc… nice clean smells that just seem fresh. Make sure you sign up for the email alert, you get great coupons(2 for 1 items etc) by email . There are locations at Chinook and also at Market Mall. The prices are great when you consider the sales and special offers they have all the time. You can find just about anything for your body, for your bath and for your wallet. :)

It’s easy to see the appeal of Bath and Body Works… it’s like a poor woman’s Body Shop. They have a large selection of signature scents ranging from heady tuberose bases to fragrances inspired by the smell of fresh, clean cotton. Their body products run the gamut from body sprays and perfumes to body butters and lotions to hand sanitizers. On top of their personal care products they have lots of home products as well(room atomizers, scented candles, etc.). And of course, they’re masters of using perceived deals to influence consumer behaviour(Buy Two, Get One Free! Buy Three, Get Two Free!). I admit to having a handful of B&BW products in my bathroom, as the Velvet Tuberose scent is a(much cheaper) distant cousin of Michael Kor’s eponymous scent. However, I am uncomfortable using the B&BW products on a regular basis because I am concerned about the cheap ingredients and the concentrations of chemicals– most of their hand and body washes contain sulphates(which are known to dry out skin), and almost all of their body products contain parabens(Google to learn why you should be concerned). I do use my Bath and Body Works products, but I am careful to put them into a rotation with other, higher-quality products with ingredients that are actually good for my body.

I’ve loved Bath and Body works since I first sampled the sweet pea body mist years ago, and have been surviving on friends’ visits to the states to get my fix ever since. So I was very excited to learn about the B&BW in Market Mall, and to stock up for Christmas. The store was absolutely packed with both gifts and people, but it was sometimes a little hard to find a helping hand. There were three staff members chatting up a storm in the middle of the store, so that was a little frustrating. But I powered through and took advantage of the deals! There was a ton of stuff to be had, and everything was priced really well considering its relative size. They have what looks like over 30 different scents, and I smelled A LOT of them. I also loved their extensive collection of hand sanitizers too.

I have to admit, I don’t get this Bath & Body Works obsession that women seem to have. When this location at Market Mall opened up, all of my friends had to be there that day! I waited to check it out a few days later. I guess because I’m not a perfumed lotion lover, maybe I am not meant for the Bath & Body Works world. But I gave it a shot, sampling all the fragrances that appealed to me. They can sure have some decent deals, like buy 2 get 1 free from the signature collection. I do admit, I love their foaming hand soaps and the hand sanitizers! They do have a lot of selection, I’m sure anyone could find something they liked here. They even carry bath accessories, robes and slippers. I think this is a great place to pick up a gift for a girlfriend or your mom! The prices for things tend to be around $ 10 to $ 30. I won’t die if I don’t ever go back here, its not really my thing. But I do recommend checking it out, maybe the Bath & Body world will be just what you need to satisfy those lotion and body wash needs!

Can I be honest? When I first moved back to Canada from the U.S. I thought I was going to have a meltdown based solely on the fact that I used to make weekly visits to Bath & Body Works. I didn’t know HOW I would survive going from being a complete B&BW junkie to having to only shop there on monthly visits across the border. Then it happened… Canada got the glory! Imagine my excitement when I learned that not just ANY mall, but MARKETMALL was getting their very own B&BW! I love Market Mall because it’s never as packed as Chinook. Yesterday my pleasure level hit an all time high when I spent half an hour in this B&BW store and left with 3 bags. Not to mention the fact that the day before, I spent $ 100 shopping on their website :) I love everything about B&BW. I love their products, I love their set-up, I love their staff and I especially love their prices. If you love bath stuff like I do, get your butt to the B&BW store at Market Mall. Just a little tip for your Christmas Shopping — ALWAYS has promos running and you can deliver your goods anywhere in North America and have them gift wrapped for $ 5! Obviously depending on where you are shipping to, the costs will vary, but the $ 5 gift wrap is standard and a GREAT steal because you can personalize it with a card, and the giftboxes they send out are beautiful! Also, one other tip: If you have family and friends that live out of town, consider sending them B&BW products for Christmas. Everyone loves bath products, everyone knows that B&BW is high-quality & not everyone has the time to make a shopping trip to this fabulous store whenever they feel like it. Do them a favour, do some shopping for them and send the goods their way!
