By the Cup Coffee

I frequent this little coffee shop often, since it is right across the +15 from my office. They have a pretty loyal following from my office for the following reasons:
— the coffee is affordable. A «nearby» competitor is «more» expensive than starbucks. But… they aren’t starbucks.
— They have many different flavors of coffee, so if you’re into that, they have it! My personal favorite is caramel crunch. mmmm
— They are fast and efficient. The latte’s don’t slow down the line. They have a pretty efficient assembly line to get those waiting for drinks out of the way, so that they can keep processing orders.
— They are pretty specific in what they sell. They have coffee, pastries, a few quick grab and go items, and that’s it. There are no sandwiches, toast, or other things that hold up the line.
— The staff are so unbelievably friendly, you can almost feel like they missed you since you were there last. Their face lights up in recognition when they see you.
If you are in the +15’s on the west side of downtown, give By the Cup a chance! It’s delish!

They serve Fratello coffee here, a local roaster in Calgary. Polite staff and great brew at a fair price. What more can you ask for at work?
