I had the day off but still needed to get my blood checked so I tried this location as it’s close to home. I had been here a few years ago and hadnt had the best experience wait wise so I was a little apprehensive. I arrived a litle after 7AM with no appointment(I am not able to make appointments for my testing schedule just yet but if you are able to make an appointment, I recommend it). I took a number and I could tell there were maybe 3 «numbers» ahead of me. There seemed to be one other patient waiting as well. Not bad right? It seemed far less busy than the downtown location so I thought I was in for a treat. But alas no. I ended up waiting longer than I normally do downtown, about an hour from start to finish. Drat. What I did like about this spot is that its much larger. Even as more people arrived, it didn’t feel as crowded as some of the other locations. The staff were also very friendly and more laid back(despite some computer glitches they were having). Also, this location plays music! I didn’t realize the other three I had been to were music free until I found myself chair dancing to the hits of the 70’s. Stevie Wonder, a little Bob Seger and the Village People had all the patrons(all ages) toe tappin’ and leg bobbing. It definitely made things more upbeat. Oh and as for the blood draw, they were pretty awesome at that too. Which was the whole point.

19⁄30 The receptionists and phlebotomists here are so nice. They make getting blood tests as quick and painless as, well, getting pricked in your arm ditch can be. Better my arm ditch than my hand, I say(getting blood work done from your hand is the worst). They genuinely want to get to know you, even if your encounters never last more than 2 minutes, and that friendliness has put me at ease to the point where I never even notice when the needle goes in. This location is quiet, and I generally never have to spend more than 45 minutes in here, whether or not I make an appointment. But when I do? I am in and out in under 10 minutes. Then I walk on over to Pita Grill and put an end to my blood test fast.

I admittedly dont come to this labratory very often, because its hours of operations happen to be the same time I am downtown. However, today I managed to leave a bit early so that I could get some bloodwork handled at the end of my work day. Anytime I have come here, I have always received what I needed it. Since this lab is buried in a residential area, it seems to not have the lineups of some of the more urban locations.
