Visited this restaurant yesterday for lunch and was surprised at how good and cheap it was! $ 7.50 for lunch buffet! Though the buffet menu was not extensive, it was still very good! And the restaurant itself was very clean, which is always nice. I’d definitely visit again, and will bring my appetite!

Smallish but tasty lunch buffet included wor won ton soup, ginger beef, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, chow mein, beef with vegetable, sesame chicken, etc. At $ 7.50 it’s slightly better value than the typical food court version. The lunchbox is cheaper($ 6.25), but you miss out on the soup. For a quick sit-down meal that’s more flavourful(but also less healthy) than a 6-inch sub+soup+fountain drink, hard to beat. Oh, a big flatscreen TV was on, but the gossip shows were… meh. The low-rent ambiance is from the Reagan era, but at least the service was cheerful and friendly.

I am a visitor who is from San Francisco, U.S. I visited this restaurant on the day of the Calgary Stampede Parade. I have tried Chinese food from hundreds of restaurants, and this is by far one of the best. Their dishes have a Canadian and Chinese customs– fusion. I will definitely come back to this restaurant on my next visit.

I ordered Ma-Po Tofu and broccoli & peas in black bean sauce. They were listed under vegetable entrees on the take-out menu but it turned out that the tofu dish contained pork! I’m vegetarian so that doesn’t really fly with me. I phoned in and the staff said they’d give my money back. Successful conflict resolution! The black bean dish tasted really great, but I was really put off by the surprise meat in the other dish so my meal was only so-so.
