MacEwan Student Centre

People might ask what the difference between MacEwan Hall and MacEwan Student Centre is, and the difference is basically a staircase. MacEwan Student Centre is the home to the food court, the health and wellness clinic, the spiritual centre and the wireless café at the very top. It also has the bookstore and numerous comfy chairs that are perfect for sleeping.
That being said, I am pretty sure only students and staff have the true abilities to navigate the weird and confusing architecture. As a student I would give out directions on a regular basis, usually to some poor soul freaking out about not being able to find their conference. That is because the whole MacEwan complex has been built piecemeal. Honestly, I kind of feel like it’s an indication of culture.
There are five levels of MacEwan Student Centre in total, and they tend to be wide open. If you can score a meal without being ID’d at the graduate student lounge, they have decent service, really good food and awesome prices. Napping areas are best tried for at the chair areas of the third and fourth floors.

MacEwan Student Centre is a big building on the University of Calgary campus that houses the bookstore, food fair, lounge, a variety of stores, and lots of other services.
You know it’s MacEwan Hall because it’s a building of weird architecture, sort of out of the 70s.
The lawn outside MacEwan Hall is a great place to sit and have lunch in the summer.
