I called from out of town, as I wanted to send some wonderful flowers to a dear friend who has had some pretty major surgery. From the moment I got on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. I hung up after a very delightful and thoughtful conversation, hoping that the flowers would turn out as special as the florist made them sound. My friend just emailed me a picture. She was absolutely blown away, I was thrilled, and the price point for the arrangement that arrived was very good. Based on my one out of town experience, I will definitely use this florist every time I have to send flowers to Calgary!

This is my go-​to Calgary florist. You can phone ahead or walk in. They always know exactly what I need/​want/​ask for, even if *I* don’t. The pre-​made arrangement for my Grandmothers new apartment on moving day was perfect, small, and tasteful. The bouquet for my mother was splendid, and scent-​less because of allergies.
Affordable… most definitely. Yes, they can make those gaudy god-​awful FTD creations if you like, but they are creative and can pull together something stylish to suit both you, your budget AND the occasion.
Yes, Safeway does have some good flowers, but this is cream of the crop. Great gift wear too… small shop, big impression.
I have called up from Edmonton on my drive down to Calgary, and it’s usually ready for pick up when I get there. There’ve been a couple of occasions where they were absolutely swamped, but they pulled together a beautiful arrangement for me in no time.

It’s a small shop but they have some fantastic stuff that you just don’t see in some of the floral «sections» of larger stores. I can hardly name most of the items in the store. You should see the Grinch Trees they sell at Christmas.
If you want a bargain-​basement arrangement then go anywhere but for something unique you need to go to a place like Pushing Petals with people that really know flowers.
They really care about service and making the process fast and easy. Although I haven’t used it, they even have an iPhone app to place orders. I doubt there is another single independent florist in North America that has gone to that extent to enhance customer service.
And I know they deliver too.

I was on my way to Safeway to get some flowers for my neighbour, and I passed Pushing Petals. Something told me to stop in and check it out, and I’m so glad that I did! This shop has such a good assortment of interesting looking flowers, and other plantlike things that go in bouquets (??? refer to my picture, I’m not even sure that some of these things are considered flowers ???). This is exactly the type of arrangement that I love: a bit contemporary, not too structured, looks like something picked out of a mystical garden.
They have some pre-​made bouquets, but I’d only get one of those if I was in a rush. The staff working in the store are so great, they can put together a custom arrangement based on your favourite items from the cooler and your price range. Because they make custom arrangements, and have such a cool selection of flowers, you can get something amazing at any price.
