RedBloom Salon

It has taken me a million years to find a good hair dresser, but Claire is amazing! I’ve seen her multiple times over the past 3 years and could not ask for anyone better. I love this salon, the atmosphere is so soothing and everyone is so nice. I’m always so excited to go because it is literally a spa experience. My hair always looks amazing and I get so many compliments. All the products used are plant based so you don’t leave with your hair completely fried. I went from my natural almost black hair to a beautiful ombré. I can’t say enough good about this place. Hands down my favorite salon in Calgary!

I had an amazing first experience with redbloom. I called on a Sunday morning skeptical that they would have room. The reception, Kenna, was very helpful and friendly and found me an open appointment for that day at another Redbloom that had space. She also listened to my concerns regarding what kind of cut I want and placed me with the right stylist.
My stylist, Claire, was also amazing. We talked for a good 15 minutes about my hair type and style and it made me feel confident about the style she was going to do. Not only am I really happy with my hair I also learnt a bunch of tricks and techniques to style my hair on my own. I was also impressed that she didn’t just wash my hair with generic shampoo she used shampoo that was suited to my hair (a detox to remove the silicon in it and a lighter curly shampoo). I am finally happy with my hair. I will definitely be returning. Thanks so much!

I live nearby and am so happy to have found a great salon in the area. I had Whitney cut my hair and she did an amazing job. She’ll be the first person I’ve ever seen more than once. The atmosphere is professional but comfortable and I enjoyed the whole experience.

This is regarding the 85^th location.
I’ve only been at this location 3 or 4 times, however I once left a voice message on their system requesting to know more information about the salon. This was before my very first visit. They took 3 days to return my call which for a premium brand I found it to be quite poor service.
Anyway I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and go anyway. I set up my next appointment for this month but had to rush out of town. The appointment was supposed to be scheduled for this Thursday. I however called last Friday indicating that I would not be able to make it, and for me to reschedule a day or two later. Well guess what? Nobody called again!!!
I just now received a call asking if I’m going to be making my appointment for this Thursday. I said to the girl, «you’ve got to be kidding me right»??
I mentioned the two issues and asked well first of all, why is no one picking up the phone during business hours considering you have two people at the counter at all times; and why do you not return calls? She says «oh I’m sorry we must have been busy».
Oh really, well you know what? I’m busy as well and will never return to this or any of your locations. I’m sure the hairstylist enjoys loosing clients over the stupidity of others.
They can advertise all they want, if their customers service sucks then there is no point.

I haven’t been to this location but have been to the one in bridgeland. The one there is awesome ! On with the review…
Today I went for an ice cream, and when sitting in my across the street from redbloom salon, I watched a bored receptionist do something very unhygienic. The salon seemed empty, so she went up to the makeup bar that’s in front of the window and started doing her make up. The problem is, she was using the products RIGHT ON her face (eyeliner, mascara, brushes for face cosmetics), then replacing them with out cleaning what she used. Ummm, yuck ! It’s very unprofessional and super unhygienic for customers. This redbloom is the closest to my home, and it has deterred from going there in the future.

I would like to start off by saying that I give Danielle a 5. She is fantastic. She does a great job cutting my hair, is friendly but not overbearing, and works quickly and professionally. I will keep coming back just as long as she is there.
Why the downgrade? Stop pushing your products! Aveda is the main line here, on the pricey side, but I will occasionally buy some of the products. I just don’t like the aggressive product push that is Red Bloom’s Policy. I know, you make money off your hair products. I know, you make money off all those cosmetics you want to «try out» on your clients when you request to «freshen up» their look after their cut. I know Red Bloom makes all the stylists follow the hair-​product-​cosmetic-​line-​push-​procedure. Thank you Danielle for being so subtle and gentle about it. I just don’t like this angle.
The second downside, and this is not really Red Bloom’s fault, is that I have to put up with all the snooty west-​side ladies while I am there. Yes, I am a west-​side lady, but not like the stereotypical, entitled, under-​worked and pampered sort that hang here. Oh well. Some things I will put up with for a good stylist.

2^nd time to get my haircut here — I saw Anna and being new to Canada (from south US) I was having a hard time adjusting with the dryness & my hair. She did it just how I wanted & explained all of the products to me. You get a free oil scalp massage & make up touch up when you are there. It’s always nerve wrecking finding a new hair dresser but I’m sticking with this one :-)

Moving here from another city is always tough to locate a new stylist. I’ve tried many places and have yet to find a fit … UNTIL NOW!
My boyfriend was first to check this place out and he loved that it was not fake and snobby. I then booked an appointment with Mandy.
The salon itself is in a new plaza which has an ice cream shop (BONUS!) with tons of parking! No having to pay for parking like downtown location. The décor in the salon is beautiful and relaxing. I love the aromas of Aveda which lingers throughout the salon.
Mandy was warm, welcoming and friendly. I’m pretty easy with my hair but wanted a low maintenance easy to take care of hair style which she figured out right away. The cut was quick and I loved the head massage and makeup touch up.
I will definitely be back to meet with Mandy! Hooray for finally finding my stylist!

I’ve been seeing Danielle for a little over a year now and a client of Red Bloom for 4 years. Danielle is AMAZING. I can’t say enough about what a great job she does. My hair always looks great when I leave. She knows I’m a low maintenance girl and always gives me a cut that’s easy to style. She always greets me with a hug and I never feel like she’s pushing unnecessary products. It’s a little bit more expensive here but totally worth it.
My husband has been going to the Bridgeland location for over 5 years and would never go anywhere else.

Claire is amazing, not only does she make my hair look amazing, she’s a makeup artist and touches up my make before I leave as well. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
