Signal Hill Barber Shop

The barber was a cheerful guy, I didn’t wait long and the haircut was done well and quickly.

Ugh. We choose Signal Hill Barber Shop to give my groom a day of hair cut and shave. Hubby loves having someone else shave him with a straight blade but not everyone will do it. Having that bit of pampering was important to his wedding day but his usual spot doesn’t do reservations and would offer no promises.
We found signal hill because it’s by our jeweller and caterer and although they don’t do reservations they told them to be there right when they open at 9 and they would be in and out sure thing. 9am was already tight and we told them this 3 days before the wedding and they told us to chill.
Well the guy that does the shaving was seriously late that morning. Hubby says more that half an hour. The shave when he got it was poor and required it be redone. He didn’t get his haircut done the day before like I suggested and unfortunately was stuck doing it that morning making the guys more and more late.
The barber didn’t apologize and laughed it off and threw our schedule into a tailspin when the guys were over an hour behind by the end of it. Weddings are often late because of the bride. Well, I got to sit around waiting for the guys.
I’m not sure what this place is like when there isn’t the stress and time pressures of a wedding but their attitude rubs me a bit the wrong way. I get that things happen but an apology goes a long way.
