I like that its near my house. i love the wings night wed but the wings are so tiny and a little bit dry. service is ok. I love the deep fried pickles. The decoration is meh

Another great meal. Stopped in on another Sunday. Wanted a meal, so I ordered the Sausage and Perogies. Damn. So good. Fried onions, bacon. Topped with sauerkraut. Can’t say much more than yum. Prompt friendly service from the bartender, a decent selection of beer on tap (not enough IPAs for me though). Though I find Calgary doesn’t offer much for IPAs in general.

You want a review of the food? Take a number. You’re going to be waiting a long time because I never even got served by a waitress.
I am extremely disappointed in this establishment’s customer service (or lack thereof). Our party was ignored for 40 minutes while the waitress tended to other tables, some of whom arrived after us. In fact, one table arrived after us, had their food orders taken, received their food and ate their food in the time we spent waiting for the waitress to serve us. We tried to get her attention on our own, but she never even looked our way let alone asked us if there was anything we needed.
I honestly don’t know the reasoning behind this experience. Lack of organization? Low number of available staff members? Forgetfulness? Who knows. In any circumstance, it was a horrible night and we won’t be returning here.

There are so many wing options. it was insane and although I didn’t have wings on this particular occasion, I will go back and try some when the mood strikes.
Décor was dated and food was standard pub grub but decent if memory serves me correctly.
A large majority of the patrons were a bit rough around the edges and I at times felt out of my element, almost like I was in a truck stop on the highway or something…

The more we go to this pub the less we like it. To enter you go through an unmarked door and run the gauntlet of smokers standing around surrounding the only entrance. It is the same to leave. This makes me feel uncomfortable every time and has resulted in us trying to find another place we can go for a relaxing night out. The food is reliable though — sauces for wings and ribs are great!

If you are looking for a one of a kind, extra special pub, this is not it.
BUT if you are looking for a pub that has great pub food and unusual fare on their food menu, this is the place!
Our group of four people ordered the flowing:
Tuscan salad with steak slices, it was delicious even if the steak that was ordered medium rare came medium well.
FishTacos. Generous and tasty portion!
Spicy Chicken Fettucini that was as spicy as described in the menu!
Chicken Fajitas that arrived on a sizzling hot platter accompanied with more fixins than you could ever dream of!
Each one of the plates was huge! All of them can be shared by two people.
We also ordered the Monday special of deep fried pickles at 24 cents each. These were on the smallish side and extra greasy.
There is a pool table, two dart boards and 4 slot machines as well as the required tv screens set on tennis, soccer and Russian hockey (it is July!).
I recommend this place if you want affordable, not your usual but tasty pub food.

Good nachos and deep fried pickles, but the music on live band nights is WAY TOO LOUD

Greattttt Pub! Waitresses are very nice and prompt, lots of daily specials and the Platter is fantastic!
