We visited Beamer’s prior to a road trip to Calgary for the day. When you enter the store, you are greeted with an amazing looking array of pastries and sandwiches. Unfortunately, we had already eaten… so maybe next time. We both ordered coffee. drawback is that you serve yourself and the coffee was not quite as hot as we both like. Overall, the flavor was pretty good, there was plenty of seating, and the service was good. We didn’t feel Beamer’s had the same ambiance that we experienced in several of the other shops we visited during our vacation in the area… but maybe just a personal preference.

Checked out this café when we were in Canmore. The aroma of rich coffee drew us in. The place is busy on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to score seats by the fireplace. We had the berry muffin, the sausage roll and two lattes. The food was okay. Muffin was huge but was pretty dry and flavourless unfortunately. Lattes were pretty good. I’d get drinks here again but food was less satisfying

Beamer’s makes their mocha lattes with chocolate milk, which I’m not a fan of. Can’t really comment on the other things on their menu. I do like that they leave a water dish out for pets.

There are a lot of great reasons to stop in Canmore… Beamer’s is one of them. Whether I’m grabbing a bite after a hike or stopping in on my way through… I make every effort to stop here for a bite and a coffee… all the while supporting local business. It’s a win win :) The food is creative and tasty for sure. The coffee is great — we’ve bought their beans and made some quality Beamer’s coffee back in YYC. The staff are super pleasant… and when the weather is right, sit outside and enjoy the spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. If you’ve never been… stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve grabbed espresso from here a few times, and its a decent cup. I also really appreciate the ownership and the time they take to connect with their customers and hear people’s opinions. After reviewing on this site, I was contacted by the owner with some great thoughts on what I had said. Their coffee is made fresh and stored in vacuum pots on the counter so it isn’t overcooked like some shops, but I’d still love a nice fresh hario pour over. There is a little description of what each bean tastes like and its individual cupping. The restaurant is often full. Last time I was in there, the only decent sized tables has both bench covers ripped off and they seemed to be being used to hold cups. Part of the difficulty of living in Camrose, I can imagine. They do what they can and that’s awesome. Service was fast and friendly, espresso was good. 4 stars.

Excellent coffee here, probably the best in the Canmore area, wife loves the Maple Candian Moccha thing, the smoothies are good, and really love the White chocolate with Strawberries muffins they have! Those things are so good! Overall, if your looking for Coffee in the Canmore area, bypass Starbucks and come here! Its a trillion times better!

We were looking for a place to grab some hot chocolate after an intense day of hiking. Hey, hiking in snow in September definitely falls under intense in my books. Well, my friend K is super picky about some things and hot chocolate is one of them. She’ll only drink good quality ones, who knows, she was rambling on about something and I tuned out. Well, after first checking out The Good Earth’s(not up to her hot chocolate standards), we hit up Beamer’s Coffee Bar and lucky we did because it was right on da money. We came Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty busy. The place is small but quaint. It has a very homey, neighbourhood coffee shop feel to it. I loved how their was one table booth smack dab in the middle of things. The baristas were all friendly and patient, we even witnessed one trying to make pleasant conversation with an old man who was having none of it. At least she tried? Anyways, we dropped in for drinks only but there sandwiches looked and sounded delicious. Next time foo show! — Hot chocolate($ 3.30 medium) and day old muffin($ 1.00) — the hot chocolate was delicious. Perfect for warming yourself up on a chilly day. The day old muffin was surprisingly good! Hey, you can’t really go wrong for $ 1.00 freaking dollar. The one I grabbed was a sour cherry bran muffin. Quite dense for a muffin but very hearty. Cool spot in town to grab a quick drink or bite to eat. Or as they put it «lite snacks»! Next time, sandwiches are happening.

Unassuming coffee shop with the most fantastic choices. I would give this place 5 stars if the décor was taken care of a little more — lots of dirty and ripped seats.

Superb coffee shop in the beautiful downtown Canmore! My family ordered the Marble Mocha and Canadian Mocha, along with an iced Hibiscus Tea! All three drinks were delicious and warming to the soul :) Marble Mocha was great — not too sweet and unique in flavor. Canadian Mocha was so fun! No lack in maple syrup flavor, that’s for sure… it was too sweet for my family members, but I loved it(I do have quite the strong sweet tooth) Free wifi, comfortable seating, great atmosphere, & lovely staff! If you’re in the area, it is definitely worth a visit :)

I stopped in for a 3 o’clock almond milk cappuccino and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. I had read good reviews, so I was hopeful but still a little hesitant. Beamers came through with a delicious frothed almond milk capp that was not burned but wonderfully done.

After a good bike ride around the trails surrounding Canmore, we packed up our gear and went into Beamers. Fun little shop, pretty busy on a Sunday morning. Food options looked good. We got a couple muffins. I got a peach, coconut and oat muffin, and she got white chocolate raspberry. I got a french caramel medium roast coffee. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the weather. Fun little coffee shop, worth checking out for sure!

I like a place that gives us Unilocalers some love. So checking in her yielded me a ½ price coffee treat! Gotta love discount caffeine. Good looking baked goods too, but today I’m just looking to latte up!

Beamers is a name I associate with BMW’s. So whenever I hear the word Beamers I think BMW’s and get momentarily confused(it’s not hard). We visit Canmore a lot and each time we park near this coffee shop and grab a coffee since it’s always been good and reliable. They have delicious snacks/smaller bites if you wanted to grab something to nibble on and several varieties of coffee to choose from. Plus the other usual suspects(hot chocolate, juice, san pellegrino, water, etc.). It’s a smallish place so finding a seat is optional on busy summer or weekend days but don’t let that deter you from a good cuppa joe. They also have the Beamers Cups Around The World program showcasing their cups in the most exotic locations. People bring along the yellow cup while traveling, take photos and send them back to Beamers. Beamers in turn picks their favourite each month and displays several in the store. Service has always been decent, staff friendly… all in all a great coffee shop!

A fueling and commo(free wifi!) stop on our four-month cross-Canada/USA driving trip. LOVE finding local roasters who know what they’re doing, and manage to serve great food too! Beamer’s does it all, and with a strong sustainability focus as well. So glad I had someone to share the delicious chocolate chip«health» muffin with — it was tasty, and as said, big enough to share. Beamer’s was buzzing, and not just with the coffee! Lots of folks — some obviously local and enjoying their morning chats, and others like us, happy adventurers passing through. A cheerful spot with lots of seating, friendly staff, and most important, pretty good coffee!

We stopped by Beamer’s on the way home from Lake Louise, and the service/food/drinks were great yet again. I have no hesitation calling this one of the best overall cafes I’ve visited, which is clearly supported by the plaques on the wall(Beamer’s has won Best Coffee Shop awards in the Town of Canmore since 2006, I believe). This time, I went with the salmon bagel, which I would definitely get again. The latte was great, as usual. Despite the great food and drinks, it is the service that makes Beamer’s as good as it is. They made a proactive effort to accommodate our son’s meal – without us even asking. Service like this shows a very good effort by the owner(Michael) to set his business apart. When we went to leave, there was a police truck that had boxed us in to handle a complaint from a nearby pedestrian(about something different, not Beamer’s). In small town fashion, she apologized and moved to make way for us.(Speaking of parking, we have always found a spot right away every time we have visited.) In response to Rob’s review: I don’t know what the seating was like in 2012, but there is a ton of seating suitable for kids now(armchairs, bench seating, etc.).

Beamer’s is a great local spot to enjoy a coffee or grab a bite. I tried the Miner’s Blend Coffee and a macadamia nut cookie. The cookie was huge and was great value. The coffee was bold and falvourful. While I have been to Beamers before, this is my first review. I shall return again.

I found their coffee to be average. The latte was not very flavorful and was served scalding hot. The cranberry muffin my husband bought was incredibly salty. Service was brusque except for one server who was very friendly. I was very disappointed. There is better coffee to be had in the Rockies or just a few blocks away in Canmore.
