Being an American, I found the Chinese food that I would eat in Kingston, Ontario was just not up to par, at all, and I tried several locations.
We moved to Chilliwack 3 months ago and tonight was the first time that we decided to «try» Chinese food out here in B.C. and hope for the best.
We were NOT disappointed, it was delicious!
We ordered shrimp (prawn) fried rice, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, BBQ pork slices, and chicken balls.
The shrimp (prawn) fried rice was ordered with extra shrimp, and they were not skimpy with the shrimp like most places are. First time I think that I’ve ever eaten a helping of it, as I’m usually not a fried rice fan. (Very picky eater here, sorry!)
The S&S pork was simply amazing! I would agree with it possibly having a bit tad too much sauce, but I simply fished out the pieces and it was just great. Crispy and delicious.
The lemon chicken was served with the sauce on the side, which I LOVED, because that’s the one thing I don’t like about lemon chicken, so I was able to eat some of this dish tonight!
The BBQ poker slices were a little dry, but I solved that by adding S&S sauce that came on the side and it was perfect.
Last, but not least, the chicken balls. Let me just say that they don’t have «chicken balls» in the states, well not in the southwest which is where I’m from. Upon trying them several times, I’ve just never liked them, I find them too «doughy» and just icky. Not this time. Holy chicken balls, they were amazing! Perfect level of crispiness and not too much dough. I’m a fan now.
The best part about all of this was the actual packaging. I picked up for take out and it was so PERFECTLY wrapped and protected by plastic bags so no spills that normally happen with take out, I was truly impressed by the time and effort that goes into their packaging.
All in all, I gave 5 stars and don’t see myself looking for any other Chinese place in Chilliwack any time soon!

We had take out here for the first time tonight. All the food was hot, tasty, colourful, and fresh. The price point was higher than others, but worth it for the quality that we received. You definitely get what you pay for. We bought the dinner for six, and we all filled up plates and there’s enough for another whole lunch and dinner for our parents for tomorrow as well. When picking up the food, all of the staff were very friendly and the restaurant looked extremely clean and charming and welcoming and sharp. We will definitely eat here again.
