Ms.tique The European Spa

Went in for waxing and was extremely disappointed with the results. The price was less than other spots in town but I’d rather pay more to have the job done right.

I came for an European Facial ($ 65) and a Relaxation Massage (not RMT) ($ 65) as part of a weekend getaway. The spa was located on the second floor in a space that seemed to be an apartment in its former life. The pricing of the services was fantastic given the spa in Blue Mountain Village charged over $ 100 each. The catch was the interior décor was dated; it looked as though the place had not seen a renovation since it had opened over a decade ago. While the place didn’t have a spa feel, it was clean and tidy nevertheless.
The facial lasted a full hour with lot of massage time. I also liked that the esthetician double cleaned my face before extraction and scrubbing, which was also rather through. An organic skincare line was used through out. My skin felt comfortable after the facial.
The massage also lasted an hour, and it was well performed, with ample emphasis on legs and arms. So skiers, this is THE place for your aching muscles. I had an aching lower back. The esthetician didn’t massage the back at all until I asked her at the end of the session. I would suggest that the esthetician would inquire the customer if there were particular areas of concern before start of services.
I quite enjoyed my experience at MS.tique. I would recommend it over another spa on the same street because of its professional business practice. This opinion was formed because the other spa didn’t answer phone call even at 11am, and it didn’t return my voice message.

With a small but committed, talented and friendly staff, this spa is welcoming and cozy both in atmosphere and in attitude. I have patronized MsTique for many personal care services, and I have never been disappointed. I always leave feeling more cheerful (and polished!) than when I arrived.
My only reservation is that, as far as I know, the location isn’t wheelchair accessible. There is a steep flight of stairs to climb to reach the spa, and not everyone is able to climb them, I know. Having said that, I recommend this spa without reservation.
