The worst place ever huge pube hairs under the sheets and bed bugs galore Never stay here if you are a decent person and value your hygiene!!! I tried to get my money back so I could leave and find a CLEAN hotel and they refused to and wouldn’t even come look at the nasty sheets that hadn’t been changed since who knows when(obviously cause they KNOW!) Yeah they allow dogs but pets can get mites as well and if you love your dog like family why subject them to this nasty filth. Greatest place ever! Better places on east Hastings and even the slums of Surrey I’m sure.

If you like BEDBUGS! and Head Lice this place is for you! Don’t like clean sheets? Well this place is perfect then! Like other people’s hairs on your bed? Pubic hairs included! Clear as day bed bug pooh on the corners of sheets and it says No smoking, but Hell all the cheap escorts and crack heads do it anyways to make your stay more welcoming! Second hand smoke in your room, why the hell not! If you expect to get your money back well damn you’re out of luck as they will straight jack you up and give no refund, even if you choose NOT to lodge with the bed bugs.

Bad shape, bad smells, bad beds, bad room layouts. Inattentive staff; no doubt they’re hoping to cash in on the proximity of the new Evergreen Line station, and seem to really be phoning it in overall. Got one of their nicest rooms for a hefty rate — on par with much nicer places in Burquitlam, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam — and it stank, just unbelievably badly, of cigarette smoke immediately upon entry. Told them we had an asthmatic in our party and couldn’t stay there. They acknowledged, took our keys, and wished us well on our way. And didn’t refund the room. Only time I’ve ever had to dispute a credit card charge for a hotel room. Good thing it was booked on an American Express. Would not even consider staying here again.

This place is a dump! Cheap, but still, a dump. We booked on Expedia, checked in and checked out the room. We should have checked right out again. The room is small, and smells musty. The bathroom could use a total make-over — cracked and broken tiles, poor and/or missing silicon sealing around the tub and toilet. Stains in the tub and nearly living crap around the base of the toilet. Really crappy and peeling paint. Our thoughts: «it’s only for a few nights, just a place to sleep» We come back today to find the bed isn’t made, no clean towels, nada. We tried to call the desk on the room phone — it doesn’t work. And when we do get to them, we are told«we’ll, you booked on Expedia; you aren’t «entitled» to clean towels and daily house-keeping. Really? AVOIDTHISPLACE !!! (i tried to leave no stars, but Unilocal won’t let me)

Thank you sleepy lodge you were our home for a while :) we stayed for quite a few months while looking for a place for us and our dog. It’s really hard to find places that allow large breed dogs but they allow them here! Kindof in the ghetto of burquitlam and definitely not fancy but clean enough and really great staff! The new rooms are really nice though :) … And you can pay cash $$$

We had a death in the family and we had people fly in to attend the funeral. They asked where they could stay and we suggested the Sleepy Lodge as it was close to our house. The next morning our relatives had nothing ATALL that was good to say about the place. They said the bathrooms smelt bad, had black mould growing in the grout in the showers and around the toilets. They packed up and went to the Best Western. Shame on YOU Sleepy Lodge. You made ME look bad for suggesting they stay there. I can tell you — Until you clean up your act — no one I know will be staying in your facility.

The BC tourist radio station might say that the average hotel room is $ 100 a night, but that’s not what WE found to be the case. We checked out five hotels downtown and the lowest price we could find was $ 149. We didn’t want to pay that much, so we decided to explore other options. So we went to a couple of hostels and discovered that a TINY room and shared bathrooms/showers would cost us $ 60 – 70 a night(+ tax, of course). Since we had a car, some standards, and weren’t just looking for a place to crash after getting drunk we decided to drive out of Downtown Vancouver and find lodging elsewhere. Next thing we knew we had stumbled on to the Sleepy Lodge in Coquitlam. The room wasn’t especially fantastic and only had a view of the parking lot… but it was huge, had two queen-sized beds, a tv, and our own bathroom. They advertised a heated pool, but we didn’t check that out. It also included parking, which meant we didn’t have to spend an extra $ 10 – 20 to park Downtown. The cost for one night? About $ 80 + tax! I think our total was about $ 92. The mattress and bedding weren’t as comfortable as my bed at home, but they were good enough. They only had soap in the bathroom, but there’s a Safeway down the street so it’s easy enough to buy some shampoo/conditioner if you really need some. The only really bad part was that check-out time was 11am, but the very loud cleaning ladies started making their rounds at 9am. They interrupted our sleep several times by knocking on our door several times and talking loudly. fyi: They accepted US bills and let me put my Visa down for deposit purposes(instead of a cash deposit to go with a cash payment). Also, they have wi-fi! Make sure to ask the front desk person for the password.
