My friend and I come to Ninja Bbt every couple months when we’re in the mood for a sweet drink and a snack. Overall for quality of bubble tea, I’d rather to to Pearl Fever but you can’t beat one of their deals where if you buy their larger drink size you can add a side of tater tots for only a buck extra, which comes to around $ 7 or so if I remember correctly. As shown on other reviews of this place, it seems they do cater to a younger crowd so drinks tend to be extravagant but lacking quality in taste and sometimes watered down. So if you’re looking for something with large quantity this is probably the place for you, but if you’re really craving good quality Pearl Fever is the go to.

The Ninja milk tea tastes flavorless and watered down and for $ 6, it’s a total rip off. Even though they are located right in front of my condo, I’d rather go to Pearl Fever for much better taste and quality. Ninja BBT is all about flash to appeal to young kids.

I recently moved into the neighbourhood and was excited that theres ninja bubble tea nearby so that I could get my bbt whenever My cravings started up. But unfortunately the few times that I’ve tried ninja bubble tea(three times at this coquitlam store and one time at the now closed robson store) hasn’t been pleasant. The bubble tea was always bland or the syrup was off(i usually ask for half sweet) — it’ll either come way too sweet or so little that i question if they even put any in. If you’re in downtown I would recommend going to cha time and if you’re in coquitlam, i would recommend that you go to pearl fever instead(even though it’s not that great either). I’m not sure if i just came in on a bad day for the staffers, but I was met with mediocre to bad customer service. The two baristas looked unhappy to be working and made me feel uncomfortable being there. The only good thing about ninja bubble tea is that they have the 1L size option, but what’s the point of giving me more bubble tea when it tastes awful?

Friendly staff, drinks came really quickly! I ordered a fresh fruit smoothy with no sugar added and they made the drink nicely with fresh fruit! We ordered the poutine as well, and that didn’t seem exceptional for the price they are a bit higher.

I’m going to give this place two stars for service. But not for their bubble tea as I would give that a 1 star. This place had no flavor. I honestly had to throw my tea out. I had the pudding slush, being at the time on their top flavor to try. No impressed. Tho May I add if you want a bang for your buck OK they win! The size is massive. But I prefer quality over quantity when I order something, so to each their own. Needless to say. Never going back.

The staff is nice and the food looked good, but the bubble tea itself wasn’t that great. I’ve found myself preferring the options at The Crystal Mall. Especially because they offer rose flavor. This place would also be nicer if it didn’t attract unsavory, teenaged white girls. They’re loud, trashy, and incredibly rude. They make you feel as if you aren’t welcome– like they own the place or something. They’re bad for business and make the atmosphere tense. The staff should consider throwing those types out.

Finally coming to the HQ of Ninja Bubble Tea in Coquitlam. To my realization, my best friend lives right beside this establishment in the apartments. So I had to drop by this place to check it out for once. And I was not disappointed at all. The typical LARGE size of drink, and the deliciousness of it filled my mouth. I of course ordered the watermelon screamer, the same thing I got at the Downtown branch for comparison, and this one was a lot better. There was more of a fruitier taste in it. It was more watermelon flavour, and the creamy ice cream was noticeable at the very end. As usual, I couldn’t finish the whole thing so I brought it back to my friend’s place and put it in the freezer so I could take it home. Will come back if I am in the area again to visit my friends. And will be getting something different for taste and for sure their screamers are the perfect desert drink to share with a friend or just have one by yourself, and put it in the freezer for the next day: D Only negativity about the place, it is smaller than the one Downtown with seating wise. If it was summer, and you open the doors and sit outside, then yes, but in the fall/winter nope.

Bubble tea was pretty watered down. Not as much flavors as other ones I’ve had. I rarely drink them too. Probably won’t go here again though it’s close.

We got some taro drink. It was great because it was not too sweet or bland, it was on point. Shop was clean and games to play if you have time to sit around to chill. There was a small discount if you check in on facebook. Discount missed because we raealized they had free wifi only after we paid. Free wifi is a plus especially if you’re not from Canada and do not have data.

After trying this place for the first time I had hoped for more. It’s an interesting layout with a tea booth that sells tea leaves, then the bubble tea bar, and beside that a digital dart board… Anyway, the drink I chose was a regular Blueberry Mango Screamer since I wanted something thick. It looked good, but I literally could not finish it. What hit me most was the lack of flavor. It was like slurping down a cup of plain milkshake that had the faintest bursts of mango/blueberry flavor every once in a while. The sizes are great value, but it looks like they went for quantity over quality which is a shame. I’ll try it again as things happen, but not a great first impression.

Whys it so big??? That’s what she said. ok anywayyy… I was thirsty and wanted the 1L size and… Quite possibly the worst pearl milk tea I’ve had in recent memory. Tea was flat, weak. Milk was not creamy and sufficient. Pearls were undercooked. 1⁄5. I never waste food or drinks but… Could not finish. Heard they have some better slush and frap drinks but the original milk tea is… Terrible. Sad because I came here a year ago and I recall it being very average but not nearly as bad as this. Oh well, movin on.

Got the iced Irish Earl Gray milk tea. It was a whole lotta bland. I really wanted to like it because I’ve been eager to try this place for so long. That being said, I’d come back to try some of their loose leaf teas. Some great blends and smell delicious!

Ninja Bubble Tea is my go-to bubble tea store. But today, I was enlightened to find that it was so much more — it was a business that benefits the community and goes far beyond just amazing bubble tea. I had the opportunity to interview the founder, Phil, on a one-to-one basis for an entrepreneurship project that I was doing for school. Not only did Phil show us warm hospitality, he spoke with us as friends and answered almost 15 questions that took up just over an hour. He spent time with us and made sure we felt welcome in his store that he built with his very own hands. From everything he said, you really understand how much Ninja means to him and to all his employees. I can’t think of any other business that helps in the community as much as Ninja. Its core philosophy, beyond bubble tea, is to help out in its local community from school events to non profits. I’m glad that such as business exists in my area. Now back to the food, the milk tea bubble tea was awesome. Tasted just like it should with just the right amount of sweetness. Will be back for sure.

Ninja Bubble Tea is a nice place to fill your bbt craving. I’ve dropped in a few times and the atmosphere is inviting with lots of photos, art work, and other knick knacks. And for 50 cents more, of course you have to go for the 1L drink(currently $ 4.50). Any Asian knows that that’s a deal. The milk tea is good and at full sweetness it’s not too sweet which is just the way I like it. I haven’t tried any of the food yet but that’s on the agenda for the future. The cool thing about this place is that it’s also a tea shop as they have a huge section of dry tea leaves that you purchase by weight. Like David’s Tea but the prices look decent. I must also say that the staff is great. It’s Filipino run and like a lot of Filipinos, they look genuinely happy to be there. They are very efficient as well. Usually at these places I have to wait a while for my drink to come but these guys are quick thanks to their bad ass rapid tea brewer. If you’re in a rush, you can be in and out in no time.

This has become one of my favourite places in Coquitlam for a drink and snack. My kids live it too. The staff are friendly and fun. Every drink we have had has been great. They use organic frozen fruit for the real fruit smoothies, the pearls are yummie and the larger size is huge! I recently had the Ninja Milk tea and it was really good. We have had the Red Velvet Bubble Waffles which are delicious, kimchi tater tots, Tater Tots with sour cream and green onion oh and did I mention the Red Velvet Bubble Waffles? The kids love going here because they can play board games while we wait for our drinks(it’s often busy, but always worth the wait). It’s a fun and relaxing place to go for a delicious drink and snack. JUSTDOIT!

I dropped by today for a small lunch and drinks with a friend. I’ve seen pictures of the place and of the food and I’ve been excited to try it out. It’s a small store but it’s very tidy and you can see all the ingredients they have as well as different tea bags. Their drink menu is quite big and they all sounded great. I gave in to the Nutella banana smoothie and we shared the sour cream perogies. Well first, the drink was really good. It tasted fresh and just like … Nutella and bananas. I didn’t try my friends drink but she goes back all the time for the drink so I’m gonna go ahead and assume it’s good as well. The perogies were really good as well, and steaming hot. But for me personally I really wanted to try their tater tot poutine, but they were sold out :( I’ll be back to try that next time :)
