White Spot is One of those places that is consist. You get a good meal good portion for an alright price no complaints. The main reason I am reviewing is that this particular White Spot has probably the best service of any White Spot O have been to. For someone that is born and raised in the Vancouver area that is saying a lot. I really liked this location and though it is not in my neck of the woods I would recommend that if your near it, drop in.

I have to say they make good food :) but the complaint I have is sometimes they don’t give you clean fork knifes etc.

My wife and I are regular white spot customers and we always love the food and the service that we receive in all branches. This is the only branch that consistently disappoints us in service. We try to avoid this location as much as possible and go to the branch close to Costco on Lougheed. However tonight we had to go here due to the short time we had. When we walked in they said 3 people are ahead of you and you should wait for 10 min to get in. We looked inside and saw 5 high tables available and asked if we could sit there. With attitude they said No others are ahead of you! After 10 minutes they guided us to one of the 5 available tables which were clean and ready since we walked in from the first moment to serve us. Then I went to washroom and saw another 4 booth available on the other side and they had people waiting in the line up to get a table. Unfortunately this has been my experience every single time I walked into this location. The point is that if you are consistently under staffed, get more staff members. So many negative reviews for this location should be a clue

I always love white spots food and service. However yesterday was less than enjoyable experience. The food was ok but the service was a HEADACHE to deal with. Our server was Monica, throughout our experience eating there she barely checked on us. When she brought the hot fudge chocolate and ice cream cake desert it was cold. Overall the experience was un enjoyable and I would never recommend her as a server and think they need to teach her about customer service.

4 stars for White Spot?! Easy, when you still offer the good old-fashioned ‘drive thru/takeout’! Not to be mistaken for real drive thru, as this is driving up to the back, and a separate window/section where someone actually comes out to serve you, while you eat from the comforts of your car. For me, it’s actually more convenient, my virtual office, with stapler, tape, paper clips, the whole nine yards lol. Plus don’t have to lug my work laptops around either. So the real cool part is they bring out the wooden plank that rests across your doors, as long as you open the windows, and goes across to the passenger side. There you go, your own desk. Love the mushroom burgers and chocolate milkshakes!

I hadn’t eaten at White Spot in an while so my husband and I decided to try it out for dinner. We happened to go during their summer features menu, which had some really delicious sounding options. I ordered the Apple and Brie Chicken sandwich, my husband ordered the double double burger, and we ordered chicken strips to start. Everything was delicious. The chicken and brie sandwich was so tasty– better quality than sandwiches I have eaten at Cactus Club and Browns which were more expensive. The chicken strips were perfectly cooked and not too greasy, with a tasty honey mustard dip. I can’t speak to the double double burger personally since I don’t eat red meat, but my husband was pleased. We sat in the bar/lounge area, which I found to be more relaxing, since there are fewer kids that eat in that area, and we were just two adults wanting to have a reasonably peaceful dinner. I recommend White Spot for a good value dinner out in the suburbs.

I first came here on the one day of the year when adults were allowed to order Pirate Paks. I was not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was great. My only complaint would be the limited space in the waiting area; however, this day was an exception since it seems many adults were waiting to order their very own Pirate Pak! I would definitely come back here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this White Spot to others.

Do not support this location! I love white spot… that’s what makes this so disappointing. I had thee worst experience ever! So a few months back my husband and I went for lunch and got the car service. I ordered a club w cheese. After an hour wait for a club and hamburger our meal arrived! When we got the sandwich I noticed it didn’t have cheese so I asked the server if I could get a slice to put on my sandwich(really I didn’t have an attitude or anything I know its annoying when people order extra crap). So the waitress went to put cheese on it and came back and said the cook put cheese on it… I take a bite no cheese so I look and there was still no cheese?! So I told me husband and didn’t want to complain but then he had an issue with his burger. We decided to just give back the food and go somewhere else we were starving and didn’t want to complain. So we got a whole lot of attitude from the cook when we brought our food(he came out when he saw we returned it and argued about the cheese). Anyways I was so turned off I decided to talk to the manager. The manager told us she would send us $ 40 voucher and all was fixed. A few days later we got a voucher for $ 30. Honestly we weren’t looking for a free meal but when someone says $ 40 and $ 30 shows up, its annoying more than anything. Long story short terrible service and the cook is a real jerk! Steer clear!

The first time eating here I ordered the salmon burger with fries. It was delicious! So, the second time going, I had to have the same thing. I’ll have something different next time. :-). The serve both times was great!

Our server(154) was very friendly and helpful. Food was great! I have been to other white spot locations but this one is by far the best.

Managed to grab some take out minutes before they were closing the kitchen. A legendary and a beef dip! Perfect for a late night! I haven’t been in a long time, they have completely re-vamped their menu. Little did I know I was staring at two of my disappointments of the day. 1) I was looking forward to ordering a fajita salad, but lo and behold, they apparently got rid of that years ago 2) I was too early for blueberry pie season :( The location is great and the its one of the nicest White Spot locations I have been to in a long time!(a really long time) 3TV’s in the bar area!(perfect for the guys) Plus, I love for the most part, the newer/renovated White Spot’s have given up some of that tacky carpeting! Huzzah!

White Spot has always been a safe, go-to restaurant. They have really good burgers and fish and chips. Their onion rings are the best I have ever had. They have also added different poutine options to the menu recently. One of them is the new«Baked Potato Poutine» which has become one of my favourite foods. a classic poutine with the addition of bacon and sour cream. The Coquitlam location has great service and they are fast. In short, White Spot is a safe choice for when you want to go out to eat. They make good food, great service, and have stepped up their game when it comes to menu choices.

The spot is always spot on with everything from food to service and I’m always happy when I come here to eat. We cruised bu the Port Coquitlam location and the parking lot was busy so we treked a little bit further to Coquitlam instead. Hit it around lunch and it was a mecca for seniors in the area as the two of us and the wait staff were the only ones under the age of 50. Go with the yam fries as a sunstitute!!!

Disappointed that the only drinks on the menu are alcohol. What happened to juice, ice tea, pop, lemonade, tea, or coffee.

Don’t order the benny off the lunch menu! Globs of bucket fresh hollandaise and untoasted English muffins. Uninspired half cooked hash browns.

–always check the pics– Typical White Spot as expected. As a starter we ordered the calamari and caramelized onion & cheese dip. The calamari was as usual a strong 3.5 stars. On the other hand the cheese dip was a bizarre combination of cold and warm. A warm cheese type dip with stone cold sour cream. Not a really good combination and it did not taste like anything you would expect out of a cheese dip, more like an artichoke scooping type. We all agreed the dip get’s a big thumbs down and a messily 1.5 stars. For our main meal we ordered the BC burger, chicken quesadillas and fajita salad. The BC burger, a classic, did not disappoint. 4 stars! The quesadillas were good as well and came with a generic Caesar salad. 3.5 stars. Now I have to warn you about this ginormous salad. It is an acquire taste, you either like it or you slowly will… kindda. A good amount of romaine lettuce serves as a bed for the salsa, sour cream, and steak strip. All of this is served on a huge fried tortilla. A have been eating this dish for a couple of years now and I love it. Just be aware it is allot of romaine. 4 stars. Service was great and our needs were met. 4stars. Ambiance was good although a bit on the cold side. 4stars. Overall we give it 3.5, but since we can’t do half stars it get’s 3. We took pictures of all the meals for you curious peeps.

Uh, White Spot… please stop messing with your menu. Hubby and I come here for the nostalgic deliciousness of BC burgers and we don’t expect to eat them with lettuce and tomato on them. They are best eaten plain so you’ll have to excuse us when we make our seemingly silly little requests! Secondly, stop making dishes that you have no business making! Leave the risottos and more creative things for restaurants that specialize in the higher end. White Spot is not about getting all fusion and different. You have definitely alienated a section of the public while trying to pander to a new one. Granted I don’t get creative when I order here but this is mostly out of principle! I will eat at White Spot so long as I am still able to find the BC burger, fries and accompanying brown gravy on the menu. The service here is always fine. I find some of these other reviews pretty hilarious and I needed to add in my two cents. Either you like this place or you don’t, but don’t expect White Spot to be something that it is not. If you stick with the classics you will not go wrong. Expecting it to deliver the same calibre service of a Keg is a sure fire way to set yourself up for a disappointment. Overall you can bet on White Spot to serve up a good burger in a comfortable environment with a complete lack of douche factor. My childhood memories of pirate packs, chocolate coins and those delicious dill pickles will always hold a special place in my heart!

A staff member at a university in British Columbia told me that he had been to all the White Spots in BC and that he affirmed the one in Kamloops to be the absolute worst. I avoided it, but I had been to the one in Coquitlam a few days before. I had just come in from the airport, famished and looking for an American-style diner but not necessarily a Denny’s(down the street on Austin) or an IHOP(somewhere close too). I went in to White Stop because it looked like a place like this, and I was pleasantly surprised. The surroundings are certainly comfortable and pleasant. My booth was spacious and the service utterly professional. I ordered the omelette special –three cheese with Canadian bacon, served with excellent home fries and two pancakes. The pancakes were admittedly thicker than I prefer, but their taste was decent, complemented by the maple syrup. But the omelette was entirely fluffy, well seasoned and not at all rubbery in texture. It tasted quite fresh. For $ 11CD, it wasn’t a bad deal either. All in all, a very pleasant place. Yes, it’s a restaurant chain and while I normally avoid chains and won’t usually enter them into Unilocal,I figured this was Canada so I could get away with it.

I wanted to order a Pirate Pack for breaky. But alas, I went with the Eggs Benny. Argh! It wasn’t horrible, I just wish our server had mentioned that there was a sunny deck 15 feet from our table. Thanks for the heads up!

White Spot is usually a pretty safe bet when it comes to fast, simple, local food. In the past few years they’ve been trying to be a bit more experimental with their dishes, but let’s be honest — it’s boring, no-brainer fare, made by the kids from your local high school and served by the kids from your local college. Not exactly gourmet, but usually good nonetheless. So that’s what I was expecting when I went there for dinner tonight. Our servers were awesome — polite and there when you wanted them to be. The food — meh. As usual. I had the blackened chargrilled chicken dinner thingie, and although it was tasty, it was like a pressed Costco chicken breast that had been marinating in a packaged seasoning mix for god knows how long, and some kind of runny mashed potatoes on the side with some gross, overly gelatinous gravy. And some asparagus that were cold. I felt thoroughly underwhelmed, Where’s the love, White Spot? Not feeling the love… My mom’s Chicken Caesar looked boring as hell, like I could have made it look more appetizing when I was twelve, and my dad had some Sukiyaki Beef Bowl special, which was… okay, but who goes to White Spot when they’re in the mood for Asian food? I dunno. But really, what did I expect? I would just like to restate that I can’t remember the last time I had bad service at a White Spot, if ever… they must train their wait staff really well. I *will* give them that.
