On my grandmother’s birthday I decided to take the family to walk. It was a bit rainy and we ended up in Superstore Coquitlam. After some grocery shopping it was lunch time. I took them to Cora Breakfast and Lunch restaurant. We all loved it. The bill for five of us(two elders shared one meal, all others had a meal each) came to less than $ 60. They had a Steak and Mushroom and Cheese Pannini that was super delicious. It came with a cup of specialty coffee(like Mochaccino or Cappuccino or Café Latte) and the plate portions were HUGE. It costs $ 11 each(including the specialty coffee). The service was genuinely caring and kind. I had two elders in wheelchairs. The kind waitress Taylor made room for us to park both wheelchairs around a round table and really looked after our needs(from excess number of napkins to extra forks for the dropped ones …), all with a smile. The beverage was not totally hot(they were luke warm). The plates and cutleries and glasses were clean. The presentation of the food was very well done. Although we ordered only 4 meals for five people, there was enough clean untouched food left over to feed one homeless person. My Mom being gluten resistant was able to order a gluten free wrap. I am very impressed and grateful to Cora for making my grandma’s birthday a happy and pleasant one. Thank you. Kam

Great place. Friendly staff and efficient service. Food is as what you would expect: hearty, generous, well-balanced. Warning: Come early on the weekend. It gets busy fast and there is a line-up if you come at peak hours.

So good! This is the place to go for breakfast or brunch. Their menu is so extensive it is easier to tell your waitperson what you feel like having and they will point you to it. I love their cappuccino. The fresh fruit is a treat. I would also personally recommend their asparagus and Swiss eggs Benny — it is delicious. We have gone 3 times so far and not one of us has been disappointed yet. I was so glad to find a new go to place for brunch. We used to go to De Dutch but their food quality has been pretty crappy the last half a dozen times. Now we just go to Cora … It is a breakfast gem. Highly recommended

My boyfriend and I went for breakfast on Remembrance Day and it was SUPER packed. The hostesses estimated a 10 — 20minute wait and I believe we got in after 15 minutes at the latest. We both knew pretty quickly what we wanted and were ready to order by the time the waitress asked us for drinks, and we were AMAZED by how quickly our food was served to us on such a busy day. It must have been under 10 minutes for sure. After realizing that my boyfriends eggs had been served to him over-easy rather than sunny-side-up, a manager came up to us to apologize for the error. Not bothered much by the difference, we assured her it wasn’t a problem and our server continued to check in on us consistently offering more tea, coffee, or anything else we might need. I’ve always been a fan of Cora’s because of their prices + quality food,(the omelettes are my fav) but this experience was particularly positive, even though it was so noisy and crowded!

Cora is decent. In terms of taste it seems to be pretty good. Portions are decent but for the price I think it’s a bit high for some standard egg bacon toast meals. However it’d a chain restaurant so you can’t expect much. If I had to choose to go back here or go to another place I’d probably go to another restaurant. Coquitlam grill is pretty good.

Not impressed unfortunately. Had the Bennie and club sandwich. Hash browns were no good & bland hollindaise.(So sad, o thought it was homemade?) Couldn’t even eat the sandwich, 2 slices of processed cheddar killed it for me. Won’t be going back, made me miss the egg and Co.

Decent place for a relatively healthier breakfast or brunch. Quite packed on weekend mornings. I like how there’s generally a healthy portion of fresh fruits as a side. Plenty of options on their menu so everyone in your party can get something they like. Plenty of pictures in menu as well to help you droll in anticipation even though it doesn’t help if you’re plagued by indecision between everything that looks delicious. But it’s a bit pricey for food that generally you can make at home. So you’re paying for the convenience of having someone else prep it, and plate it up with a variety of fruits, which isn’t such a bad thing when you want to have a lazy Saturday morning but still feel like eating healthy.

I just finished typing a rather bitter review for the IHOP that is close by to Cora’s. So I am happy that Cora’s was the next suggested review as I have nothing but good things to say! It gets busy on weekends for sure, as it does during the week too. But weekdays won’t be nearly as crazy. I really like how everything you order comes with an ample amount of fruit. I always order the bagel and yogurt parfait. Tastes wonderful everytime. Boyfriend usually gets Rosemary’s Sundae which has eggs, potatoes, bacon, blueberry crepes. And of course, fruit! He is always full and sastisfied. The décor is bright, colourful, and cheerful. Staff are friendly and professional. They take our orders promptly and our food is served to us in a timely manner. Not as cheap as IHOP, but hey, you get what you pay for at those places… you get actual quality here.

Always visually appealing but portion of food isn’t as great and expensive. I guess you’re paying for the cost of the fruit?

Every mother’s day(for the past 3 years) we have been coming to Cora’s for a family brunch. It is probably the most crazy day for them, and of course that’s why we have to wait over an hour to get in with our huge party. When we do get in, we are usually starving and want to order everything on the menu! There are so many dishes with tons of fruit options… I’m surprised at how much fruit they end up giving you!(A little part of me wonders where they get so much fruit though, are they full of chemicals? Bought locally? Etc. etc…) but of course I don’t care, I still order a nutella crêpe filled with strawberries and bananas… my favourite! I have tried the cappuccino here as well, and let’s just say that’s not their strong suit. For one thing it arrived practically cold… I didn’t complain though, I drank it and pretended it was hot. I’m pretty impressed that my entire family got seated together and we got our food at the same time as we are a total of 15 bodies! The service is okay, but again it’s hard to judge on such a busy day for businesses. I’m sure next year we will be heading back to Cora’s on mother’s day… it’s our go-to place in Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam.

Large menu with many options to suit the needs of most guests. Delicious food! Good with dietary needs, such as celiac disease, and willing to make accommodations. Friendly and fast service. Usually busy, so if you go during peak hours expect to wait for your table. Plenty of vegetarian options, but limited vegan options.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Cora’s does breakfast just right. And they also have a separate gluten free menu — yay! Many of the selections can be made dairy free if you skip the cheese or whatnot. I had an omelette since they were out of the delicious looking french toast. Will have to try that one for sure! They give you an excellent amount of food. Lots of healthy fruit. The place has a bright happy good morning feel to it. The staff is friendly and service was prompt enough. We went on a weekday so it was practically empty. Tried to go once on a long weekend and that was a mistake — huge line-up out the front door. Great place for families as they have a family change table room and kid menus with coloring. My daughter ate almost all of her meal — usually it’s a challenge to get her to eat restaurant food besides french fries or rice. This place was a pleasant surprise for me as I didn’t realize they had such a nice gluten free menu and fairly healthy but tasty options. Definitely check them out if you are in the area! But don’t go on the same day as me — I don’t want there to be a line up!

Really impressed with the quality of food, knife skills for the fruit platter, portion size, friendly hustling servers… where do I stop! Perfect mama’s day brunch. High quality ham slices, tasty bacon, most amazing potatoes I’ve ever tasted. I enjoyed my fruit platter thoroughly, considering I don’t eat much fruit. I was on a mission to experience this thing after becoming obsessed with everyone else’s photos. I would return to try their raspberry crêpe. Delicious piece of maple fudge upon paying & leaving :)

Good breakfast spot I have tried to eat at this place many times and I’ve only made it in twice. It is very busy, and I can certainly see why. Each plate is loaded with fresh fruit, very healthy. All the servers are very friendly, it is a very good place to take the family for breakfast, if you can get up before 9.

I mean it’s ok. It’s not a cheaper breakfast option. But they do have a lot of fruit on their menu. Their omelet eggs have a very processed taste to them. Nothing is fantastic. Nothing is terrible. I hope that this review doesn’t get flagged with the rest of the critical reviews. Something is definitely fishy about this rating system. The majority of the ‘not recommended’ type of reviews for this Cora’s location are hidden and deemed not useful. Wtf??? If this is a 5 star dining experience for you… you need to get out more.

If you go to competing breakfast restaurants and always sub the hashbrowns with fresh fruit, you’re gonna love this place! OK, if you come close to Cora on a weekend morning, you will wait. And not just for 5 minutes. That line moves slowly. At least it affords you a a view of the kitchen, where the fruit artists are carving away. But then, show me the breakfast/brunch restaurant WITHOUT a lineup on a Sunday morning, and I’ll show you a crappy restaurant doomed to fail. I think it’s worth the wait. I feel great about stuffing mounds of fruit into my mouth, and not so bad about dipping some in the chocolate sauce you can order on the side. My husband, a definite carnivore, doesn’t rate Cora as a breakfast fav, because the plates containing lots of meaty bits certainly don’t dominate. However, he always finds something satisfying to eat here. My favs are the daily smoothie, and the Seventh of July french toast dish. This is one of the few places where the kids consistently gobbles up all their food, usually French Toast and fruit. I’m just happy I never have to forbid my kids to eat a cakey plate sized chocolate«pancake» with chocolate chips and whipped cream(from the ‘Hop).

Here at experience the only drawback was wait at the door. Very disorganized with front staff. Everything from there on was amazing. «Tess» was a fantastic and energetic server with a ton of personality. Very refreshing on a Sunday morning. The food was exactly what I thought except the portion sizes were huge! The menu is fun and inviting. Atmosphere is energetic. Definitely a return visit in the near future. Think De Dutch but more Waffle House flare. Could be considered a bit pricey though. Average breaky is $ 13 plus.

As soon as I walked in we greeted nicely by the waitress. Thank God we went in on a Monday, we were seated immediately. The menu looked so good and had a hard time trying to decide what I wanted. There were a few things I wanted from there, but thought the price wasn’t worth it. The yogurt harvest crunch caught my attention, but I wasn’t going to pay about $ 10 for granola, yogurt and fruit. So I went with the a type of hash(posted a picture of it) It was pretty good, but a little greasy. The portion was perfect. I also got to try the chocolate and banana crêpe. The crêpe was nice and chewy how I like, but the size was gigantic! It looked like they stuffed it with a billion bananas, too much, there wasn’t a balance in it, made me feel like a monkey lol. The 3 of us(my sisters and I) couldn’t finish it all. I also tried the mocachino which was topped with yummy whip cream. I tried a bite of the crêpe ham and cheese panini which was good as well, and it came with a generous side of fruit. This place didn’t wow me, but if I happen to be in the area, I might consider coming back.
