Went here for a work lunch today. I have to say I was not really expecting much from this place kinda looked a little rundown. But going in the tables and cutlery were very clean. The server was very attentive and quick. The food was okay. Had a burger and fries very hot and fresh. The burger was a frozen patty but still one of the better frozen burgers. All in all not good fast food with friendly service.

For the price and portions the food is great! However, there is a definite lack of service. Not sure how the training process is done but the servers are all short and impersonal. I am not saying this based on minor experience. I actually dine here quite frequently. The server’s barely say hello or ask how you’re doing, they get to the table after sitting there for quite awhile and just jump straight to asking what we’d like to eat. I don’t think I once received a quality check on my food or a refill on my drink, just the delivery of the bill. Which ‘s too bad because the food is good and the servers could be making more money.

The Coquitlam Grill is one of those great spots that you can go to on your own(they have a great little counter bar area) with your family, or with a couple of friends for a nice casual meal. Their menu is quite diverse and I think suited to pretty much anyone. I go there most often for brunch, but have also had lunch & dinner there. The portions are great — and the food is well-cooked. This is not a high-end restaurant, so don’t expect fancy food, but rather, some good comfort food, with a lot of healthy options tossed in. My favourite«go to» meal is the Belgian Breakfast — a nice golden waffle served with a side of sausage or bacon and two eggs. They also have a choice of cubed or shredded hasbrowns if they come with your meal, which for me, is a nice option. I loved the cubed potatoes with my eggs benny and shredded hashbrowns with bacon & eggs. Ask for Frank’s Hot Sauce, too! yum. Service is great, and they always have a few people walking around with water & coffee refills, so you’re never left with an empty cup/glass for long.

My father in-law decided to treat us to a dinner out for thanksgiving, so I’m thinking all right; someone is taking us out for dinner and they are paying… So we get here and he announced he organized that we all had our choice of turkey, turkey or turkey. He had arranged a group meal as it turned out. Ha! So, we handed back the menus and all ordered the turkey. Well, when it came wow talk about surprised!!! I found the portion very large and I can’t remember that last turkey dinner that was that good!!! Everything from the gravy to the mashed was perfect, nice and hot and the bird regardless of white or dark was moist and delicious!!! Plus it came with soup or salad and pumpkin pie and whipped cream… I’m being rolled out of here I’m so full! Seriously, I am thinking I will do a dinner here for my side of the family maybe next year, This was amazing If the rest of their meals are half as good as this dinner was I can’t imagine anyone not gushing in a review about this place! And oh ya, the price is very reasonable as well… If you are a lonely single person you will love having a fantastic Thanksgiving Dinner here, ps they also have an area with individual tv monitors for patrons! I’ll be back!!!

I started to come here around 2011. I am impressed with the extremely friendly service. The food is good and consistent. I like the sundae dessert and they seem to have a chocolate mint cake that is always sold out. Took me like 3 years actually to get 1 slice. It was rich and minty. At one point I have tried 90% of the menu and most of the items are fantastic. I love the ribs and pasta combo, they are generously portioned. For days I feel like tomato, the jambalaya rice bowl can hit the spot. Pulled pork Mac n cheese and pulled pork baguette are also fine choices. For salad eaters, the strawberry summer salad is a very refreshing one to go for. Recently, the price went up by about a dollar. The menu changed removing a few of my personal favorites from the California chicken burger to the bass fish burger. Overall, you can get a great deal eating here.

I’ve been hear a few times with my boyfriend and this place never disappoints me. I always get the Cajun Lime Chicken Penne and time and time again they always make it to perfection. From the Caesar salad that comes with it down to the penne everything is ALWAYS made fresh. The service is also impeccable. It’s a neighborhood restaurant and so there are always people dining inside, no matter what time of the day or night. And I think it’s because the people who work here not only enjoy working here, but they make the customers feel like they’re family. All in all I enjoy this place. Everyone here — the staff and customers — are always so happy to be here, and again the food quality is amazing. Good job!

Salty salt salt. Salt salt salt. Tasty typical breakfast fare. Lots of options and a good pleasant place for a get together. But be prepared to suck back a gallon of water through the day due to the increased salt intake. It’s huge inside — hard to imagine that they can fill the tables! But I hope this«little» independent establishment keeps on trucking.

A simple family restaurant along the line of ABC or the pantry, but better in my opinion. I’ll start with the food. Good selection of the usual stuff with a few more ethnic choices(like butter chicken). Really good specials like the Friday ribs deal(worth making the trip) where you get a full rack for the price of a half rack. The food is what you pay for essentially, simple but satisfying. Where this place really shines is the service. Everyone is always super friendly and pleasant and polite! The General manager makes rounds, chatting with customers often and even helps serve. A very comfortable atmosphere. All in all, a great family restaurant that will be a regular place for me and my partner for sure.

Yummy Ribs! Unexpected visit to Coquitlam Grill and we are glad we came. I work in Coquitlam, not really the greatest options for dinning. I had Coquitlam grill booked marked because several of my Unilocaly friends had recommended this place. After finishing a long day at work, last thing I wanted to do was cook, my husband mentioned he wanted ribs, hmm I remember reading about this place and having good ribs!!! So we went and Im glad we did. When you walk in, reminded me of a Dennys or some type of chain breakfast place. Large restaurant with a large menu. Large menus often overwhelm me and I hate it, but since we knew what we had wanted before coming made it a little easy. But this menu had everything!!! My husband had the full rack of ribs with chicken came with a Caesar salad, garlic bread, and mash potatoes. I had half rack of ribs and pasta came with garlic bread. Very big portions. The ribs was fall off the bone tender, with a great bbq sauce, so yummy!!! I wish I would have gotten the full rack but I think it would have been too much. The pasta was also yummy very creamy Alfredo sauce. I tasted my husbands chicken strips with honey mustard sauce mashed and Caesar salad all tasted great. We were too full for sweets but next time the fruit pies sounds divine. Really good comfort food! The service was awesome, and fast! Also very well priced! We will be back!
