I recently had the opportunity to have dinner at this restaurant, which is in the Holiday Inn Harbourview. There were only two waitresses for the entire restaurant but service was still mostly attentive. We ordered the poutine as a starter to share, which had pulled pork and scrunchions as a topping. It was the 2nd best poutine that I have ever had. It was really quite fantastic. The fries are made in house, which is an added bonus. The friend I was with ordered the fish and chips, which looked great. Even though they traditionally hate tartar sauce, he ate the house made condiment at this restaurant. I had ordered the TexMex burger. The toppings and sauces were great. The burger itself was a bit bland– I had expected there to be more Mex in it. Overall, a great experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Harbourview which is connected to this resturant. The first time we came to eat was for a late dinner after we had walked Halifax all day. I ordered the crab cakes which were crunchy but flavorless. The topping thou was what brought the crab taste out. The second time we went was for breakfast the next day. We both wanted the loaded waffles but were told they were out of batter. Really, out of batter when two of your item menus are waffles? So I ordered the lobster omelette instead. Full of lobster but that was about it. The next day it was a rainstorm so we were stuck in the hotel. Ordered room service from this place, stuffed French toast as they were still out of waffle batter until Monday(two days away). The French toast was good. It had a creamed cheese stuffing with strawberries. Not bad for once. Since it was raining we also had lunch here. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Once again lots of lobster but no flavour. The last time was for breakfast and this time we made sure they had waffles. I must say the wait for waffles was not worth it. The prices of the food items are expensive for what you get but then again there is only fast food places around as an alternative. The service is hit and miss(first Night service was great). would I come here again, only if I was stuck inside on a rainy day

I was here last week for a bite to eat with my soon to be sister in law because I heard that they started a new menu, and I was in the area. I have to say that what we ordered was just ok. My sister in law ordered the bacon wrapped scallops with this tangy red aioli. Well the aioli was so strong you couldn’t taste the scallops, or the bacon. They were a little overdone as well. I ordered the pepper burger because Im a huge fan of spicy stuff, and could only finish half. It came with applewood smoked bacon, jalapeño havarti, a few other notables. Maybe it was the beef, maybe it was the cheese or bacon, I’m not sure. But it was the greasiest burger I have ever put in my mouth. All in all it was alright. I’m sure that if someone really wanted to eat there Id go, however it wouldn’t be my first choice.
