Chilly Willy’s Ice Cream Barn

This is an old-​school style ice cream barn that serves Scotsburn ice cream. Nothing fancy, just good quality ice cream in a decent selection of flavours, including many old favourites like Moon Mist, Tiger and Mint Chip. I almost always get a kiddie cone, which is still a large portion of ice cream (for very little coin).
They accept cash only, which is understandable for this type of establishment. Plenty of seating is available, with picnic tables in both sunny and shaded areas. Not a bad spot to enjoy your ice cream while reading a book or relaxing in the sunshine.
I don’t think there is any set schedule for when they are open. You just have to swing by and hope for the best (summer months only of course). They rarely open on rainy days, but sometimes I’ll head over on a sunny weekday and find it boarded up. So it’s always a bit of a gamble to head to Chilly Willy’s when you’re jonesing for a scoop. But when it is open? Gold.
