Dollarama

Tacoma Dollarama used to be my go-​to dollar store prior to the Portland Street location’s appearance. It’s still largely a great location, and here’s why:
Pros:
— Appearances can be deceiving — this store is actually quite large, so you’ll undoubtedly find what you’re looking for.
— Excellent selection.
— Decent customer service.
— Within walking distance of lots of other stores (Sobeys, EasyHome, RBC, etc.).
Cons:
— This is a very, very busy Dollarama, which means long lineups and jam-​packed aisles.
— Parking is dreadful. The Tacoma Plaza parking lot is an accident waiting to happen.
If you’ve not visited this location yet, I do recommend it — but I’d advise you to shop on a weekday/​weeknight to avoid the crowds.

Inexpensive, clean and lots of useful products. A lifesaver to those who are on a budget.

Cheap, well stocked and easy to navigate. It might look small from the outside put like a tent from Harry Potter, once you enter it’s amazing how large the store is (tucked away in the corner of Tacoma Plaza in Dartmouth).
This dollar store is our go-​to store for all out cheapo needs. I’m a little weary of the grocery isle (expired cans, etc) but you can’t beat the price on some of their kitchen and glass wear.
Wheelcair accessbile (though the doorway is a little tight).
