I think meh totally sums up my experience at East Side Mario’s. The menu was bland quasi Italian, the food tastes okay and the service was fine, although it apparently it was busier than normal so it took a long time for the final person at our table to be served her salad, you know the one they serve in unlimited amounts to everyone in the restaurant? I think they just forgot about it and didn’t remember until we asked for the third time, when we were almost finished with our meals. I won’t be rushing back.

This concerns their online ordering. My online food voucher code was rejected and we decided to prepare a meal at home. I contacted them twice to get the problem resolved. They would not respond at all. I will never order anything online from them again. It was nothing but an irritating experience.

Was out doing a little shopping and the Mrs. didn’t want food court, that’s another story. We decided to go here, I was a little surprised that you had to leave the mall to get into the restaurant. We were there a little before noon and were seated quickly. We ordered off the lunch menu which included a soup or salad and some bread. It was tasty and the service was OK. To me it seemed pricey at 33.00 for lunch for two. Over all it isn’t to bad

My boyfriend and I recently had dinner here because I was craving their bread and we didn’t want to spend a fortune. Although the atmosphere could use some updating and improvements, the food was surprisingly quite good. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait of about 15 minutes. We preferred a booth so we waited a bit longer than 15 minutes. For some reason the hostess randomly asked if we were over 19, which we obviously are and she said«oh you never know these days,» but I am not sure why she wanted or needed to know this. We were sat near the back where the kitchen is, close to the mall doors. The booth seats were cracked and torn, and the table cloth was scratched and torn as well. Overall, looking around the restaurant, it is clear that nothing has been updated in years. How much could a new table cloth cost? Anyways, our server was quick to get our drink orders and although he was quite lack-luster in his approach(almost scripted like), he was attentive throughout our dining experience. We both ordered the 10.99 pasta(alfredo) deal with unlimited bread and caesar salad. I asked for extra dressing on my salad and my boyfriend asked for no bacon. We were given 2 loafs of bread and salad immediately and it was quite good. My boyfriend was able to scarf down 2 more salads, and I had another as well. When our pasta arrived, the portion was not that big but it was good. Nothing special but it tasted better then pastas I have had at non-chain restaurants. I ate all of mine but my boyfriend could not finish his; we took it home and he had it for lunch the next day. Our total bill came to 28 $(1 pop and the meals), which was good for our budget. Overall, if you want a romantic dining experience, I’d save the money and go somewhere else. However, if you want a cheaper meal option and a casual experience after shopping or working, I would recommend it. I think there should be an Eastside Marios built in Dartmouth Crossing — or a complete reno for this Mic Mac Mall location.

The worst experience ever. First we waited for 20 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. We ordered veal and chicken parmigiana and both were overcooked and tough. The pasta side was also bland on top of being cold and disgusting looking. We did complain to head office and they send us a gift certificate to eat at this same location. Ummm no thanks. We will never visit an Eastside Mario’s again.

Recently, I stopped into this Eastside Mario’s location upon developing a bizarre craving for Italian wedding soup and garlic homeloaf. During the lunch hour, you can snatch up an all-you-can-eat trio for these two items with salad for a very reasonable $ 10. Needless to say, I stuffed myself into a garlic-infused, carb-induced coma. While the food was fine, I was surprised at some of the prices on the rest of the menu. Nearly $ 20 for chicken parm? I could swear that was cheaper in years gone by. At that price, there are far better options in the city. The décor of this particular restaurant also offered a little bit to be desired — the table cloths certainly needed to be replaced. The service was okay, but was a bit disorganized for a rather slow Saturday afternoon. Overall, not bad, but not great — the food seems pricey for what it is(outside of the lunch menu), the service wasn’t stellar and a few other items knock it down a notch from other locations of the same chain.
