WOW! That’s the first thing I can say about Eli’s Pizza. We just moved to Cole Harbour last month, and while we were getting ready to move all the furniture and boxes we thought«Let’s thank our movers(friends and family… thanks guys!) with pizza for lunch!» so we popped on the interwebz and looked at some reviews. Eli’s didn’t have a lot of recent reviews but all the reviews we saw were good. And it was close. So we called them up and ordered a LOT of pizza for our movers. On the last trip across the bridge we swung into Eli’s to pick it up. The place is located in the middle of a neighbourhood, next door to a convenience store. It’s a little place, that’s very clean and the owner(I assume this is Eli?) is such a nice guy! Our pizzas were just coming out of the ovens and we chatted for a while. He welcomed us to the neighbourhood, offered us menus and we left with 4 extra large hot pizzas(2 peperoni and 2 works) and 2 extra large garlic fingers. We got home and the pizzas were devoured! The works were delicious — hot, lots of toppings, great cheesy deliciousness! The peperoni had just the right amount of meat and cheese and was still steaming. The garlic fingers made people swoon — they are some of the BEST garlic fingers I have ever had! Hot, lots of cheese, just the right amount of garlic and the donair sauce was perfect! Shortly after we finished eating, my husband’s phone rang — Eli had called to check-in and see how the pizza was. He wanted to make sure we were happy with the pizza and garlic fingers. We thanked him, told him everyone loved it and promised we’d be back. We also shared menus and information with all our friends and family there. I was so impressed with his follow-up — great customer service! We’ve ordered a few times since then — tried the wings(OMGSOGOOD!) and last night we tried his BBQ chicken pizza. The wings were hot and crispy and the spices on them were delicious. The honey garlic sauce is yummy. The BBQ chicken pizza was lovely — sauce was sweet and a little spicy, chicken was perfect, cheese was hot and fresh. The only thing I missed was some veggies — we’ll add those next time. Eli’s is now one of our favourite pizza places. If you’re in Dartmouth/Cole Harbour check it out — they’re great people with great food!

This is my favourite pizza place. I’ve gotten to know the staff by name(don’t judge me) and find them all really friendly. I adore their donairs — best in the city as far as I’m concerned. Their pepperoni pizza special is a great deal. If they ever mess up your order, they really go out of their way to fix it and make sure you’re happy.

I’ve ordered from them a few more times, and Eli’s is quickly turning into my go-to pizza place of choice. Their Hawaiian pizza is really good. I also ordered a small order of nachos from them before. This was the first time pizza place nachos were not a soggy, bland mess upon arrival. The nachos had layers of toppings instead of just blanketing the top, another feature for good nachos. While the bottom layer could have been heated through a little more(the cheese hadn’t quite melted), the top layer was stellar. For $ 7, the«small» portion rivaled the larger plates you get for twice as much at restaurants. They’re pretty fast with the delivery, even during peak times, and their prices are still pretty good compared to the other locations around. I think I’ll be sticking to Eli’s for delivery.
