I passed by the store in dartmouth crossing last weekend where you had the black Friday promotion(50% off all of store) and purchased some items after confirming with the sales assistants that everything was 50% off. I noticed while checking my receipts when I arrived home that day that there are 2 items that I was charged full price rather than 50% as advertised and as confirmed by staff. I passed by the store today I spoke to a person about this issue but to my surprise he was extra rude to me and kept cutting me off. and then challenged me to get the stuff I bought saying«if you are ready to waste your time and gas to get a couple of dollars back. Be my guest!!» And when I told him it’s the concept that counts he cut me off again saying that yeah everyone says that! His attitude was horrible and hostile and as a result I requested to talk to his manager! He said that he is the manager and no one is above him! He refused to give me his full name and unfortunately he wasn’t wearing a name tag. So all I know is that his name is Brandon. As a result to his attitude i returned everything I wanted to buy that day and left. I just wanted to let you know and I will make sure that everyone I know would keep away from that place due to that rude person who claims to be the manager!

My go to for excellent quality and moderate prices. The prices do seem a bit high if you’re used to buying from a department store or chain outlet but the clothes from these places just don’t last. I’ve tried Banana republic but the clothes are way overpriced for the quality and Mexx keeps their prices moderate for the quality so it’s definitely the best bang for your buck, especially for casual business and their outerwear is PHENOMENAL! I sometimes wish there was a bit more variety but that’s the only thing I can say negates it from me giving it 5 stars.

I could just copy Kimberley M’s review almost word for word(swapping out the pashmina for a bow tie or something), but allow me to share basically the same opinion on the men’s section at Mexx in Dartmouth Crossing. First, you need to know that I went through a phase where I was obsessed with all things Mexx. It was the perfect selection for my particularly office wear, it was entirely carved out of my preferred colour palette, and while things can be pricy when not on sale, nothing had too many digits on the important side of the decimal. Bottom line: for guys who hate shopping or have a hard time buying things that all go together, this will be the easiest place for you to get in, get out, and get dressed. I’ve since fallen out of love with Mexx, mostly because the price is still inflated for the quality of product you walk away with. I’ve seen threads hanging out of my dress shirts after just a wash or two and I’ve seen pants noticeably change shape after landing in the dryer. I’m not saying ‘buyer beware’ or anything… but if you take a more relaxed approach to caring for your clothes, you won’t get too much mileage out of Mexx.

I usually love the clothes at Mexx, but I don’t always enjoy the price tag. I tend to make an annual fall trip to refresh my business wardrobe and if I do buy anything, it normally becomes something that is a wardrobe staple. On my last trip in, there were lots of lovely things that caught my eye, and I went home with a great pair of black trousers and a beautiful silk/pashmina scarf. I don’t often visit Dartmouth Crossing, but it’s worth a trek every once and a while. I have to add that I was impressed by the staff in this store, as they were down to earth, helpful and courteous and all seemed to be enjoying their job. Overall, a good place if you’re looking for classic pieces that should get good wear.

I like the brand. Whenever I go to Toronto, I will buy some clothes when they are on sale. I also went to the store here in Halifax couple times. But I found the variety was not that great and not many were on sale. I almost gave up to go there anymore. Surprisingly, things actually turned better last week. Because I went there and they have good selection of new arrivals and better selection on sale. I was very pleased with my shopping result.

Mexx has been one of my favourites for casual business wear. This store is a typical Mexx store. Everything is in place, neat, orderly and very detailed. Although I do not buy much Mexx anymore, I find it one of the better quality and classy clothing for the young lady. The prices for the clothes are not too expensive. I like the accessories here as well. The staff, are young and will help if you ask.

All the way out to Dartmouth Crossing, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here. I’ve been to Mexx locations in Montréal and Toronto, and always had an impression of high taste level for the business professional. A touch of flirty femme, and I could see this brand in high regard.(Although not necessarily for me) In a recent venture to our own location, Mexx didn’t have the same level stature. Clothing appeared quite basic, and nothing too much beyond what one might by at stores like Smart Set or Reitman’s. With a much heavier price tag, this just does not fare. There were a few decent sales. A hat for $ 7 and a pair of earrings for $ 5 that I purchased as gifts. Overall, this stop housed the bland and boring, as well as an uninspiring design layout. Yawn. I’ll definitely pass on this one. Perhaps in a trip to the big city, I’ll take another gander, but for now… I’ll spend my time elsewhere.

Never been to this location before and decided to pop in last night to see what it was like. Walking in taking a visual I did find overall it was laid out very nicely. Cloths all hung as well folded on tables. The over décor of the store was very sterile with a mix of steal and wood. Noticing some of the price tags I did find the store overall expensive. Trying to determine what was actually on sale on the racks that was listed sale items was a challenge as prices were not visibly displaced which was frustrating. Not only did I walk around the store trying to figure out these things and picking up the various purses and accessories I noticed that there were about 4 sales staff on an know one acknowledged me what so ever. They were more focused on looking at the sweaters folded on the front table. There was one young man that looked at me and that was about it. Walking out the store I walked by all the staff and still nothing. To me focus is needed on customer service not how to fold a sweater.
