I could(and probably have) wander(ed) around for hours in here. I love Backyard & Veranda. I want my place to BE Backyard & Veranda. A lot of stuff here is out of my price range, but I can still find plenty to tempt me within my range — everything from kitchen supplies to bath salts. You’ll find lots of great gift ideas here for that person who stumps you every year.

I’ve been a major fan of Backyard & Veranda for many years now. From outfitting my very first apartment with some discounted finds on their shelves, to picking out a few of their more accessible lines that perfectly suited my former university student’s budget, they’ve become a standard destination for gift-giving, guilt-free splurges, or doses of DIY inspiration. The Dartmouth Crossing location, despite being all big-boxy and business parky, takes B&V to a whole new level for me. It’s huge, it’s well laid-out, and even has space for several showroom areas that frequently change. Depending on your visit, you might see a airy blue home office or a zebra and purple infused boudoir. It’s not always something you’d lift and drop right into your own house, but it’s always fun, exciting and dramatic! One thing to remember about shopping here is that it’s tough to predict price tags at B&V. You never know whether something is going to be $ 200 or $ 2,000 which as you can tell can be both really good and really depressing. If you want to play it safe with your emotions and wallet, stick to the accessories and kitchen area — anything on those shelves is well within reach for us mere mortals of the home design world. Staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy, even gladly sending me on my way with a paint chit from one of their showrooms that has since been used to redo my home office.

Love this store, Love everything about it. Walking through the crossing yesterday I decided to pop into this store as I always looked but never went in. Well I am sorry I did, in a good way. From the smell of the candles and oils to the colours I must say it is one of the most eye catching stores in the crossing. Peeking around I fell in love with about 100 things. The mirrors are amazing that they have on display if you are looking for something different sleek and stunning check these out. Average price is about $ 199 -$ 250 but wow they are worth it. In the back is the baby section filled with all kinds of little treasures for that bundle of joy. The have the most beautiful rocker there that is stunning. Yes the store overall is pricey but some things were on sale. From pictures to curtains, stools, sofa’s this store is a must see for those people to like to make a statement.
