My families new favorite Chinese food. Affordable, large portions, friendly service. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but I always think it adds to the experience when it isn’t a date-night level establishment. Sometimes you just want good food around a table with your loved ones.

This place has the best chinese food Ive had in a decade. Better than Hons and the portion sizes are almost twice as big. Everything is very fresh and tasty, and we always have leftovers. Delivery time is fast. Our neighbors love them too!

Just ordered a take out. The package is good, after bumpy jumpy Scott road no juice come out. All dishes are still good. All my family members enjoyed the good flavored dinner!

Surprisingly good Chinese restaurant in Surrey. They have dim sum with special sprice for lunch and taste delicious too. Restaurant is spacious, neat and tidy. Service was good. I strongly recommend this Chinese restaurant.

My family and I have been going to this place for years. The dim sum is such a great price and so yummy. Their squid is the best around and the hot and sour soup is to die for. The service always comes with a smile, it’s a welcoming place

For it’s price it’s not so bad. The Pumpkin Spare Ribs and black bean are good. Service a little slow and isn’t like most other Dim Sum places. You order they bring it not like others where the cart comes around and you pick what you want. Ok and nice price.

Came here for both dim sum and dinner during a recent trip to Vancouver. I would say that the food here is sort of average — maybe about as good as the dim sum I’ve had in Cleveland. For Vancouver, though, I sort of expected better. Overall, I found that many of the fried dishes and dumpling-like dishes(like shrimp dumplings) had too much breading /skin. Also, the steamed pork dumplings(xiao long bao) were sort of shriveled and not juicy. But I did get a noodle dish that was pretty good. Much of the clientele here is not Chinese.

This is my first time ever going to a Chinese restaurant in Delta, B.C. Being in an area with very small small Chinese population like Delta, it’s quite a gamble to see if the food lives up to Vancouver standards for Chinese cuisine. Lotus Chinese restaurant is run by Taiwanese Canadians and the cuisine they serve at this restaurant is Cantonese. Apparently, Lotus Chinese restaurant changed ownership and the chefs used to be from Sun Sui Wah from Richmond, but not now. I realized that most of the patrons are not even Chinese and they’re either Caucasian, South Asian, and Filipino. We were offered a large table even though there were four of us, which was welcoming and tea was served promptly. The server was friendly and let us look the menu for a long time and I realized that this restaurant is very popular with the takeout crowd, as a result the wait time for the food took almost half an hour for the first dish to arrive. The first item I ate was the House Special Chow Mein. It was nice and crispy, but it need a bit more sauce. The second item was the deep fried basa fish with tofu hot pot. The fish and tofu was average, and I didn’t think the flavours was all that great, and it was on the salty side. Third item was the spicy deep fried fish. Very disappointing. When it arrived to the table, it looked very good and well fried, but it was extremely salty and there seemed to be more batter than fish. The last item Mandarin style honey garlic boneless pork tasted like something you would get from Costco. It didn’t taste like something that was freshly made, but more like frozen from a package and stir fried again on the wok. I could barely taste the honey and the garlic, even though I could see the garlic bits. My Dad complained about the salty dishes and they did nothing about it. My sister wanted some sweet and sour sauce and the waitress told us that it will be an extra 1.50 which is shocking since all other restaurant will give it to you in a little dish for free. When the bill arrive, we got four fortune cookies on top of the bill which was odd. They should put it on a separate dish because the fortune cookies didn’t have it package, so I didn’t eat it. Oh yeah, it’s quite disappointing that this Chinese restaurant doesn’t provide you with free desert other than fortune cookies. I was hoping for another gem in the suburbs like Yan’s Garden Chinese restaurant in Burnaby, but it turns out that Lotus Chinese restaurant cannot match any Chinese restaurant in Vancouver for its final outcome. I had better Chinese food in Tofino. Lotus Chinese restaurant needs to use Vancouver or Richmond as a benchmark for what Chinese food should be. Or maybe even Burnaby, Yan’s Garden in Burnaby is my favourite Chinese restaurant in the suburbs.
