AAA offers average white-washed Chineez fud. If you like that kind of thing, then it might fit the bill. It isn’t my kind of thing, though. I’m unlikely to return.

I stopped into this pub nestled amongst furniture warehouse on St. Albert Trail on my way to a buddy’s for drinks. I had a couple of dark rums, and spent the half hour I was there chatting with the waitress, who had just started a week prior. The décor was drab and depressing, like the owners didn’t really care for the place. There were a couple of pool tables, some scattered tables & seats, TV screens, and a couple of arcade games. Although the server was nice and interesting, AAA Restaurant & Pub is not the place to bring a date or a group of friends that you might be trying to impress, or really anyone for that matter. They have karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights, but this place is only for the diehards. I Heart Edmonton

Today I decided to revisit a place that I used to work beside for quite some time. I have not been here for almost 2 years and my oh my either things have changed or I used to wear some pretty bright rose coloured glasses. Price went up, which I suppose must happen at times. I ordered what I used to order which is a low brow Single dinner for one number 3. Not so romantic but I am dining alone ;) Anyway service is friendly and as the other reviewer mentioned the place is quite dated. They have slapped on some coats of paint and what not but it needs a better makeover. Anyway about the food! The dinner I ordered had chicken fried rice, Szechuan beef, beef and mixed greens and an egg roll. Egg roll is typical of Wings fast food brand and was forgettable but had a good crisp texture to it. Beef an mixed greens had lots of broccoli but barely a sign of beef and was a bit slimy(msg?) Rice was dry and unusually bland as I actually liked the rice they had here.(or so I remember) And the worst for last was the beef quality. What can I say other than it was not good at all. From a lack of sauce to the super hard, break a tooth meat this was easily the worst I have had from anywhere in the last few years. The only good part unfortunately was the broccoli! As a place i used to frequent a bit it is pretty disappointing as I like the local mom and pops but this visit has turned me off period. With the abundance of better choices please consider you taste buds and surroundings. Unless you like western low brow Chinese cuisine.(yaya I know I wasn’t ordering from a 5 star joint)

We’ve been getting chinese takeout from here for years, and normally order szechuan beef, shanghai noodles, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg rolls, deep fried wontons then get free fried rice with it. It’s consistently good westernized chinese food that my whole family enjoys. As for the actual restaurant its quite dark & dated with a lounge & pool tables. The service is always quick and friendly & they have cheap happy hour specials if you want to have a quick drink while waiting for your takeout order. They do free delivery on orders over $ 30 within 5 miles, including St Albert or 10% off any pick up orders.
