Alberta Exchange

There was a GameCube in the window of the pawn shop next door that had caught my boyfriends eye but they had a sign on the door that they ran out for ten minutes so we wandered in here to kill some time. They have the largest selection of furniture here that I have ever seen at a pawn shop but unfortunately that is really the only good point that I have to bring up. the building both outside and in is very run down and fits the mold of sleazy pawn shop that some of the larger chains have worked so hard to get away from.
Also more than half of the things we looked at had no price tags. There were several things I was interested in including a pandora bracelet and digital camera but there was no prices to be seen and the gentleman at the front seemed more interested in chatting with his friend than helping customers. The things that did have prices were grossly overpriced. For instance there was a small TV stand similar to the ones you often see university students starting out with that you could probably get at Walmart new for 70 – 80 dollars marked for $ 50.00.
I think it goes without saying but since this is Unilocal I will say it anyways… we will not be back.
