This little place is a gem. Reasonable prices. The food was delicious. The revers were friendly and helpful. It made me feel like home. Dessert was like heaven in my mouth

Had dinner on Sat. night and can say only one of 4 was impressed. The liver is very good but yes, the pizza is overpriced for what you get, the steak had no veggies to accompany it for the price of $ 27 — only a slice of tomato (??) and the daily special of greek back ribs was a waste of money. For what the meals cost, one can do much better elsewhere.

I have never had steak pizza before so this was the first time I tried it. I wasn’t disappointed.
One thing I didn’t like was that they would not allow me to adjust the toppings on the pizza’s. The pizza is a bit pricey but I thought the steak pizza was quite worth it. Everyone here was so nice and it felt like the staff knew everyone. I am guessing they have a lot of regulars which can only mean good things.
I would go back for sure.

Astros is one of those family restaurants with an established clientele that rarely, if ever, changes its menu. It is known in particular for steak and pizza. I have had both, and they are fantastic. I typically have the vegetarian pizza, which has a thick crust and is loaded with toppings. Astros does not allow substitutions on pizza toppings, so that limits things somewhat, but there are enough combinations to allow for most tastes. The steaks are prepared to order and taste great, with very lean meat. Other menu items include hearty old-​fashioned favourites like chopped steak, liver and onions, hot turkey, beef, and hamburger sandwiches, fish and chips (with the fish pieces in the shapes of triangles, just like the boxed pieces), and a few pastas. The french fries are the thick, beefsteak variety, and other sides include coleslaw and baked potato. The food here is not cheap or fancy, but typically the potions are decent and the quality excellent.
