For years and years this was my dress Mecca. When I was in need of a gown, this would be my go-​to store! However, the last few times I have been in to this location, the selection has seemed a bit sparse. It is such a huge retail space, walking around the place it has a lovely airy feel and your can easily scan the store and see everything, but it is just not my go-​to anymore. Especially compared to the selection of BCBG dresses that you can find at American department stores like Macy’s, Sak’s and Bloomingdale’s and they always go on sale (way beyond the sale tags at the regular stores). Then there are the plethora of BCBG outlets throughout the US: It’s hard to pay $ 600 for a dress when I definitively know that it will make its way to the outlet and probably be knocked down to $ 200-​$ 250.
If you have a big occasion coming up and you are looking for a dress to buy, in Edmonton, I still suggest checking BCBG out. All in all I have probably purchased 20 or more dresses from this location over the last 10 years, they are always beautiful and stand out in a crowd. The staff are always very nice and quite helpful. But I personally now wait to do the majority of these buys in the US… or if need be, the Southgate store seems to have more of a selection at times so check them as well. Happy shopping!
