God I love popbar! Every time I see it I want it and their gelato is awesome! Peanut butter and chocolate is like a reeses pieces on a stick. I definitely recommend this for a hot summer day, or anytime really. Also, for the most, part staff are very polite and friendly

I remember seeing Popbar pictures on Instagram and how their only locations in the States were in Anaheim and New York. But I was pretty excited finding a small station in Canada! Pros: — Located in the mall, where you can literally just shop while you eat a pop. bar. — Flavors change daily but stay simple. — Made with natural ingredients. — Very unique combinations pre-made or you can customize your own popsicle yourself. — Menu consists of sorbetto, gelato, beverages(frozen hot chocolate, hot chocolate on a stick), popbites and other treats. — Accepts cash and card. Cons: — Prices is pretty steep for a popsicle.($ 4– $ 5) — Workers are a hit or miss. — The popsicles are never restocked, so if they run out of a flavor you wanted then you’d have to wait another day. The sorbetto is pretty good! I took the liberty of getting a pistachio dipped in chocolate, drizzled with white chocolate, and sprinkled with pistachio pieces and the sorbetto really melted in my mouth. It’s definitely a fun and healthy treat for the family.

Average place, the Gelato was good quality but I was unimpressed by the topping selections and quality of the servers. However they do have a wide variety of gelato flavors, and the ice cream itself is rich and flavorful. It’s an innovated idea great to try once, but at $ 5 a popsicle I felt somewhat undervalued. I’ll likely stick to my froyo as my summer cool down treat.

Highly recommended :) Natural ingredients is what caught my eyes and this place has one of the BEST ice creams I’ve ever eaten! It was like heaven on a stick! I tried the hazelnut and it was sooooo delicious! When I go to Edmonton again, I’ll definitely go to West Edmonton mall not for shopping, ONLY to go straight to the Popbar yeeeeey!

Not sure what compelled me to pay nearly $ 5 for gelato on a stick but it was whimsical and tasty. Nice diversion if you’re walking around the mall.

Popbar is okay. They exclusively sell popsicles, and I appreciate the novelty of it all. I got a Strawberry popsorbetto, and it was good. But I probably won’t bother trying any of the other flavours.

Just the look of this stand-alone popsicle bar is enough to make me stand and stare. While the prices may seem a little steep(around $ 3 for sorbet and $ 5 for gelato), the product is fresh and delicious. The flavours change regularly. There is a good selection for almost every dietary need. My favourite? Chocolate, of course.

I was working at the CCMA Fan Fest at the ice palace last weekend and was really excited to finally get to try out the Popbar! But I was pretty disappointed. I understand that Saturday was probably busier than usual with all the extra people there for Fan Fest, but this place was FILTHY! I was shocked… with so many allergy concerns these days, you would think that they would be more concerned with cross-contamination. But there was bits of pistachio, peanuts and coconut all over the place and each of the containers had bits of everything in them. But it’s okay. my favourite thing in the world in coconut and they had one that was already made that fit me to a «T». Coconut gelato, half dipped in chocolate with coconut shavings on it. It looked delicious. And it was. I was happy with my choice, until I got to the end and realized that I was having an allergic reaction. My only allergy is to raw fruit like apples, oranges and kiwis. Not coconut or chocolate. I can’t imagine what was in it that i would have reacted to. And with everything messy and all over everything else… I guess I’ll never know. too bad… I love the concept. I’m sure they’ll do fine though.

I finally made it to Popbar! I tried these guys when I went to a Unilocal event at the Space Science Center, and I’m glad I took the time to go see them at West Edmonton Mall. Careful not to blink – You might miss them. I kinda think these guys need to work on their look. I almost walked right by them. They don’t stick out much.(They’re on the second floor next to the ice rink.) The flavors are simple. Like vanilla, mango, strawberry and pistachio. But that’s so you can DIP them in a variety of equally simple but delicious sauces and nutty toppings. I had the pistachio dipped in white chocolate, dipped in chopped almonds. Yes, it was so good! And the nice thing about gelato is you can bite it without hurting your sensitive teeth.(However, I’ve discovered that gelato will still melt in this heat.) And my waistline is thanking me instead of guilting me. But the tiny detail that brought this from a four star to a five is probably something only I care about, but I think is worth mentioning, because it’s attention to detail… I didn’t taste the stick. Have you ever had that thing where you’re enjoying a popsicle, or a fudgesicle or something, and you’re almost finished, and suddenly your treat tastes like NAKEDTREE? Nothing wrecks a treat for me like getting a good lick of popsicle stick. YUCK. I didn’t realize until the very end that I’d finished all the gelato, and I still tasted nothing but pistachio. Bliss. I swear I heard the ‘Ode to Joy.‘ I can’t wait to try the strawberry.

I tried their watermelon Popbar. I was really impressed. It actually tasted like the fruit, I talked to the owner for a moment and he said no sweetners or anything artificial was used. I would definitely go there again!

I was able to FINALLY try pop bars at the Telus world of Science Unilocal event and I chose to sample the kiwi pop. MAN it was like biting into a kiwi(after you peeled off the fuzzy exterior, of course. The guy told me it was because it’s literally only kiwi in there, nothing fake, just true fruit. They make all their own pop bars, which is why this past Saturday afternoon I stopped by WEM and saw that their cooler was looking a little bare. $ 3ish for a popsicle seems a little steep but they are truly delicious! I wish they’d do ‘sampler’ packs so that you could easily pick up a box and head out to a BBQ(like we were hoping to do this past Saturday). You can custom order, though you just have to give them a heads up. I hope they branch out of West Edmonton Mall as I’m not one who wants to eat a Popsicle while shopping, nor would I go to WEM just to ‘pop’ in(hahaha — get it, pop in, pop bar… ya ya lame I know) It would be great to see a kiosk open up off of whyte or downtown close to the river valley.

Had the joy of sampling their wares at the Unilocal Science Fair event. Gluten free, healthy fruit jam packed into every tasty pop. Also tried the chocolate gelato — wonderful! I look forward to visiting the shop for more delicious treats!

YUMM-O! If you are looking for a sweet treat, then this is the place for you! Yesterday I got to try the chocolate gelato — creamy perfection and both the watermelon and pomegranate fruit and ice versions. They were SOOOO good and so fresh tasting. I love that there are no artificial flavours or colours! You can do vegan, paleo, or any kind you want here! Pick your flavor, pick your based(milk, ice, etc.) and have it plain or dipped in chocolate(dark, milk, white, and mint), sprinkles, or nuts, or coconut flakes! They can even dip in two different flavours if you can’t decide. Check out their website if you are interested in learning their story and seeing a ton of pics: According to their website, they are currently located in New York, California, Indonesia, and Mexico… and now, they’ve popped up in Canada just for us I cannot wait to go back. This alone, is worth a trip to the oh so busy and crowded WEM!

So who would have thought i would spend $ 15 on Popsicles for me and my daughters. Buuuut they’re delicious, I don’t feel guilty giving my girls«real food» treats, and they’re fun. I love that they’re just fruit along with milk or ice or whatever base you choose. I also loved that there’s no artificial flavours and colours(we try to remove those from our kids diets). We all loved our choices– lemon, cantaloupe and coconut. I didn’t dip them in chocolate or sprinkles(again, prefer things as natural as possible) but my kids didnt seem to mind. I think my cantaloupe bar was like 50 calories. Perfect treat with no calorie guilt. We may not get them every time we go to the mall, but great for a special date.

This is my new favourite dessert place. I live across the street from the mall & let me tell you I uses to never go I dislike WEM and how busy it gets but since popbar opened I been heading down every day or every second day. Can’t get enough. The customer service is good. Don’t let the line up fool you yes they look long and about a long wait but trust me I never stand in line longer than 3 minutes it goes by fast :). Enjoy it.

The first time I went here I stared at the selection for a solid 5 minutes before deciding what to get. The people working were very helpful and made a bunch of suggestions. They even explained the entire concept — fresh ingredients, healthier snack –of the store to me, which was really nice and gave me more time to contemplate what to buy. I ended up getting a chocolate pop dipped in chocolate and covered with waffle cone pieces. It was delicious! I would super recommend. I read in another review that the reviewer’s pop didn’t melt or get sticky; the exact opposite held true for me. After about 4 – 5 minutes of having my pop, it started to melt and my hand became a hot, sticky mess(not the most attractive thing you could have). But melting is to be expected in any frozen thing, so I’m not really complaining. My only qualm is that you don’t get a whole lot of product for what you are paying for.(It’s about $ 5 for a bar).

I made my way out to WEM today to check this place out because honestly I was a little bit suspicious of all the 5 star reviews that had popped up in quick succession from brand new Unilocal accounts recently. Truth be told though this place really does measure up to alot of the positive hype that it has been generating lately. The flavor range is pretty decent although I was a little bit disappointed they don’t have my personal flavor favorites like watermelon and blueberry. I had the peach today and it has a nice flavor and texture very similar to Dole fruit bars which are my favorite frozen treat. You have some options for dips and toppings which are obviously going to up the calorie count but I was pretty impressed that once you pay the fifty cents it does cover more then one dip if you want a double layer or two flavors on one bar. I paid $ 4.10 for my peach sorbetto pop today which might seem pricey to some but is actually pretty on par with other treats in the mall like cupcakes or cinnamon buns. I am interested in trying their other products like the hot chocolate on a stick so I will more then likely be returning. In my opinion it is a definite try at least once if you happen to be wandering WEM and a sweets craving hits but you don’t want something with a sky rocketing calorie count.

Johnny played guitar, Jennie played bass Name of the band is The Human Race Everybody tell me, have you heard Pop goes the world! Or in this case, my taste buds… and my mind! Say whaaaaat?! A popsicle shop. Yup, a popsicle shop that has(dare I say) popsicles for the discerning palette, the foodie, the healthy eater, the GF, the vegan, and all absolutely positively delicious! This frozen treat is truly a treat, and one I didn’t feel at all bad while indulging in. Fresh ingredients, portion controlled, oh so fun and really, just genius! I can’t wait to go back again!

I had no idea this place had popped up! The idea of having a popsicle bar has healthy all natural products is a step in the right direction! made fresh daily and so many flavours to choose from. I chose pistachio dipped in chocolate. It was to die for, I had no idea I would like it this much! First you pick your flavour, they have them all out for you to see. There is Yogurt based, milk based and ice based(great if your vegan or PALEO like myself) Once you choose your pop, they ask if you would like it to be dipped. they have dark, milk, white and mint chocolate. you can have it half dipped(you can then pic 2 if you like) or full dip. then if you are so inclined, you can have it covered in nuts, sprinkles or coconut flakes. This is a must try for anyone in the city! great for kids and they cater events with mini pops as well! *TOADD!!! by some magic ability these do not melt all over you into a sticky mess, i walked around the sweaty mall for about 25 min munching on the pop. Not a single drop came off. the texture was soft and chewable, it didnt send chills through my body. Perfect texture and tempurature and 0 mess!
