I went to this Bed Bath & Beyond a year ago to buy a new Queen sized feather blanket. I found one that was on sale for $ 89.00 plus tax. I took the blanket to the till and it rung up as $ 120.00. I asked the cashier to check the price again because there was a sales sign for $ 89.00. It took around five minutes and someone came from the back of the store and said the it was $ 120.00 and I asked about the sale price that stated it was $ 89.00. I was told there was no sales sign. The cashier told me I’ll still get my 20% off and I said«Why am I getting charged full price when this blanket was on sale?» I told the cashier to keep the blanket I went back to where I got the blanket and the sales sign was gone. I asked the sales person who was there what happened to the sales tag and she laughed and said the blanket wasn’t on sale. So the lesson I learned is if you see a sales price sign for anything at this store take a photo because someone can just remove the sign and charge you full price at the cashier and another sales person will remove the sign and tell you your wrong. The sleaziest customer service I have ever encountered. If I could give Zero stars I would. I was very pissed off about this whole situation that I have gone into the store but have not purchased anything because I don’t want the same thing to happen.

I wasn’t planning on coming here for Christmas shopping. I have such a weird relationship with it, I thought it might be best to stay away. Some days I go in for one item and come out with a cartload. Sometimes I come here looking for a great gift and get bombarded by 14 different kinds of popcorn makers and wacky tackies like Stanley cup lamps, banks, alarm clocks and… Stanley cup popcorn makers. Don’t get me started. Today I came in for a cutting board and almost kicked myself for not coming here sooner. I got the perfect cutting board and I saw Zoomie floor cleaners, beautiful new picture frames, macaroon makers, frozen margarita makers, new jewelry boxes and too many other things to mention. It’s just as well… I don’t think my budget could have handled it.

I love Bed Bath & Beyond — it’s one of my favorite stores to shop at, whether I am browsing or doing some serious shopping. Pretty much anything you could ever want for your home or kitchen is available here. Being an American chain, their prices for items generally tend to be higher than other home stores(Home Outfitters for example), especially on KitchenAid items, but their wider selection of items still brings me in to shop. The Canadian website for Bed Bath & Beyond is great, except that if you order online, you can’t use 20% off coupons, and you have to pay for shipping. The online catalogue is also much larger than their in store stock, and you aren’t able to check online if the item is available near you. This problem can be solved if you order on the website in the store — they will waive the shipping and apply any coupons you have. I thought this was great, except the store at West Edmonton Mall messed up my online order so badly, I’ll never try this again. My husband and I wanted to place an order, and went into the store. As we were about to leave on vacation for nearly three weeks, we ordered to an address where someone would be there to receive the package. The order form had sections for both billing and shipping addresses, and we placed the order, and paid using our 20% off coupon. Two weeks later there was no sign of the package so I phoned their main center to check on it. After jumping through a few hoops with their telephone customer service I spoke with an unsympathetic and unhelpful woman who told me the package was actually being sent to our condo, and there wasn’t much we could do. The day we left, I called again, and finally got some help from customer service. They were unable to find the package anywhere in their online system and couldn’t even find a number for it in their shipment database. They finally ended up sending a second package to the correct address, where it was received while we were on vacation. The first parcel didn’t show at either address, and I doubt it ever will. My love for in-person shopping keeps this review from being a 1-star, but I would highly recommend against any in-store online orders.

I was looking for a shower curtain and found a lovely purple one at Bed Bath and Beyond. It was regular priced $ 50 but I got it on sale for $ 30 so an excellent deal! They often have 20% off coupons that come in my mail or via email and I have used them on various items. One time I got my sister a jewelry stand here with the coupon, a cute and useful gift! They have lots of gadgets and household items that I would use. Last time I went with my coupon to get a dish scrubber and refills. The cashier let me use my coupon from my phone which was good to save on printing. They have selection on bedding but I find the prices are expensive compared to other places that I can buy bed sheets. I’ll stick with the fun and other unique items that I can’t find elsewhere.

Bed Bath & Beyond has become one of our favorite stops at WEM, just because they have all kinds of things for the home and you can pretty much find anything you need here, and then some. My personal favorite is the non-stick ceramic cooking set they sell; healthier and easier to clean and use than regular non-stick pans. Seriously, it’s kind of ridiculous how much I love my new pan, I will probably write a separate review for the thing alone. They always have the latest trendy kitchen gadgets so if you like fun and handy little tools for the home, especially the kitchen, this place is for you! It’s also a great place for gifts. There’s always a section of marked down items in each section of the store, so take a look — there’s always something for everyone here!

Bed Bath & Beyond is like several stores in one. It has a lot of quirky items for the home; there are loads of «As Seen on TV» items; and there are some very practical things as well for just about every room in the house. Much of the store focuses on the bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen(as the name implies) but there are useful things for other parts of the house too. Prices are reasonable and it is a lot of fun just browsing at everything available here. If there is someone on your list who is hard to shop for or who would like something different, Bed Bath and Beyond is worth a visit.
