New to the Southside I had tried 3 different nail places before I was told by a couple women at work to try Bihn’s Nails. I got my nails done by Helen and was sooo impressed by her attention to detail and how long my nails lasted with no lifting ATALL!!! I had always had«gel powder» at other places, had problems with lifting and always had to go back for a fill before 3 weeks. At Bihn’s Nails they have TRUE Gel and my nails are healthier and stronger than they’ve ever been after years of getting my nails done. I have also had pedicures at Bihn’s Nails and I am very happy with them as well.

Avoid this location. Visited twice and thought wow, this is better than the rest of the nail salons I have been to. Minimal waiting time with an appt. However, booked an appt today 2 hrs ahead of time. Show up for the appt to be told that I did not ask for the nails and pedicure when I called. I actually did ask for both a acrylic nails and a gel pedicure. She asked when I wanted to come and I stated anytime. She said how about one o’clock and I said sure. She then called me back to say the girl was off today that does acrylic could I come tomorrow. I told her no and I would keep the 1 o’clock appt and call her back. I did return the call and let her know I would do gel polish instead of acrylic nails. I show up and am basically told she did not hear that I asked for both, and«Sorry, what do you want me to do about it?» It a rather rude tone in front of other customers. Not a classy customer service move at all, but what should I expect, there will be another customer to replace me and they do not have to be professional in this industry. I guess this is why nail salons are a dime a dozen here. Needless to say, conveniently the manager was not there, so I guess the staff can be rude and not worry about the consequences. Both my daughter and myself were customers here, but now will go somewhere else. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

This place is amazing! They do a great job and are very detailed oriented when it comes to shaping the nail. Their gel nails last 5 – 6 weeks if you do a French manicure and choose a pink that’s the same colour as your natural nail. The only downfall about this place is that there is no inexpensive package for gel nails/manicure and a pedicure. If you could provide the gel nail/manicure and pedicure all for $ 80, you would have me as a monthly customer.

This location is actually better than the Oliver Square location. Atmosphere is more relaxing and the staff is more professional. They also have a bigger selection of GEL nailpolish. And if the type of lotion they use during a pedicure matters to you, this location uses OPI and not the cheap pink standard goop at other places!!!

Quick. Polite. Fabulous job. I like that. I have been coming here regularly for the past 7 months to have my nails filled and to have the odd pedicure. Sandy always does a fabulous job, whether I just have French tips, a color or a design added to my nails. I have only ever had to have one nail repaired because it lifted and I work in an assembly/shop type setting, so my hands and nails take a bit of abuse. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I’ve always felt my patronage was appreciated.

I wen’t in here to get a pedicure before a vacation down to Phoenix. I just got the regular pedicure but with shellac. The actual pedicure was fine but when I went to pay they wanted to charge me $ 20 extra for shellac! I go to a few different places in Edmonton and Calgary and the highest rate for shellac I’ve ever SEEN was $ 5. I thought the $ 20 fee was ridiculous. I paid it but wasn’t happy. However, I was even less happy a week later when my shellac literally FELL off my toes. I’ve never experienced shellac that came off in one huge flake but this stuff did. On almost all my toes. It just flaked right off like the cheap stick on nails for kids. All the shellac I’ve ever had, both on toes and fingers, was difficult to get off. That’s why I like it, I know it won’t flake and chip. The brand of shellac they used here was the same as the stuff I get normally so I’m inclined to believe it was the application, not the product that was lacking. If you are looking for just regular polish you might be fine here but if you want shellac I’d say steer clear.

Did a walk in appointment today for a Gel Nail Fill. Service was quick and professional. Salon was clean and well kept. Plenty of parking. As they are newly opened they are not too busy however appointments are available. This is a branch of Binh’s on 75 Street and Roper Road.
