So I can’t comment on the actual club, but I can attest to how they store some of their booze. Leaving a friend’s place in the lofts that are located above Fluid Lounge, we exited the building through the south fire exit. Under the dirty stairs(crawling with bugs and spiders) were bottles of alcohol — open, and clearly part of their regular stock in the bar. Also, they had stacked their chairs in front of the fire exit door, making it extremely difficult to exit. Imagine this in an emergency — it definitely speaks to the lack of ownership responsibility at this bar. So to sum up: if you don’t like bugs or spiders in your martini, maybe find another club on Jasper Ave — these guys aren’t worth it(and there are so many better places to go for a drink).

Fluid Lounge has a good music selection however, they have no sense of client appreciation. Admission is at the bouncers’ discretion and they seem to give various undesirables priority. When they stop trying to act cool by having paying customers stand in a line up outside just to portray an image, then maybe this would be an establishment I could recommend. Ps. None of the above applies if you’re Iranian, they seem to get priority.

Fluid is one of my favourite clubs in the city for a night out dancing. The DJ straight up plays the best hip hop, rap, dancehall and reggae on Friday and Saturday nights. No Top 40, no mash-ups or lame remixes. Great stuff for the 25+ crowd for sure. Speaking of the crowd, the people that go to this club have to be some of the best looking people in the city. Get your dancing shoes on and dress to impress. The dance floor is very small and the place doesn’t really start to fill up until 11pm or midnight. Once it does, the dance floor is packed for the rest of the night. Prepare to get hot and sweaty with a bunch of sexy strangers dancing around you! I usually go early to avoid paying cover and to be able to have a drink or two before the dancing gets started. Drink prices are standard and staff are decent. The bouncers actually aren’t jerks, so that’s always a bonus.

Fluid is a special kinda lounge. From 8pm-10pm, you can grab a couple drinks, a table and just relax after a hard day at work with a couple of friends and some good music from the local Dj. From 1030pm-2am…the atmosphere completely changes and the really relaxed quiet little lounge turns into a full on danceclub packed to the door with people even with such a limited space to dance, they’re all dancing and having a great time. Great place to come for a drink and relax or get some predrinking in before the party really starts!

Fluid is a swanky lounge on the corner of Jasper Ave and 109 Street. I don’t really feel like this is a place I belong though. The last time we went here was a friend’s birthday and we had a nice ladies night here. We all dressed up and enjoyed cocktails. The service was pretty good and the music was loud. The dance floor is literally the size of a deflated beach ball, so I guess they do not encourage any dancing. This is a good place to stop in for a cosmopolitan and lounge for a while with friends. I don’t think I could spend a whole night here though.

This is a great place to go for a few drinks or even just for a night out. It is a very small lounge with a very small dance floor. The whole place is built in a U-shape around the bar. They have a live DJ who plays all kinds of music from hip hop to house/techno. Fluid is a great place to go out and just hang out with friends. It has plenty of places to sit even though its so small but this allows for an intimate atmosphere. Although it is called Fluid Lounge I think it can be best described as a lounge/club love child. At night people can start dancing and ordering drinks around the bar and like most clubs nowadays they offer bottle service. Sometimes the line up gets long on the weekends but it moves pretty fast because many people just stop in for a few drinks then leave. Since it is right in the middle of most downtown clubs it is a great place to start off your night or even spend your entire night if you are feeling the vibe.

Fluid is a cosmopolitan-style lounge with a downtown L.A. feel. A fun place to meet your girlfriends for a couple of martinis after work. Later on, Fluid turns into more of a nightclub, with lit-up walls, stylish crowds, and a steady flow in and out through the evening. Their appetizers are very good, and they have a fun selection of cool mixed drinks for those who want to sample. The music when I’ve been here was techno and dance, and at least once there was a live dj. The hip space is a half-oval shape with an expansive bar at its centre. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a view of street night life in an increasingly busy part of the city. If you’re staying in the downtown area on a Saturday night, Fluid’s a great stop on your weekend bar hop.
