So I may have moved very close to this place and WOW did i get lucky to have this as my closest coffee shop! They server Catfish coffee which I love but never get to the strathcona farmers market to buy anymore. So that makes me very happy! The muffins! The muffins are amazing! and I hate most store bought muffins but you can tell that these are made in house from scratch with quality ingredients! the mouth feel is just perfect and the favors keep you on your toes. most muffins stick to the top of your mouth when you eat them, NOT the ones from here! they melt in your mouth and have the perfect amount of crumble! Keep up the great work! i cant wait to try your lunch menus!

The most delicious muffins I’ve had! This is a cute little café on the way to the river valley from downtown. I recommend stopping for a coffee, a double chocolate with cream cheese muffin to go to enjoy on a stroll along Edmonton’s amazing river valley.

Fresh Café is a great little spot to stop in for a nice breakfast or a scrumptious lunch. The service is always second to none, the food is delicious and the best part is you can have them pack up your eats and head right down into the river valley which is half a block away. Best spot in the area!

Fresh Café is my favorite place to stop in for a coffee and baked snack before heading into the River Valley for a walk. The white mocha is by far my favorite in the city with a perfect balance of creamy sweetness and rich coffee flavor. I have only tried their baked goods so far but based on other reviews, I plan on hitting up their Sunday brunch in the near future. The staff is always so pleasant and very knowledgeable about their products. I am moving into the area this summer and am pretty sure I will have to make a special section in my budget just for Fresh!

HIDDENGEM. What a delicious secret in Edmonton! This adorable café serves the most delightful breakfasts ever — and as you know, breakfast is my meal of choice. Poppyseed French toast? Why haven’t I thought of that before? Venue is small but cute and sunny. Décor is bright and so are staff smiles. The food and coffee are delicious, and I think I’ll give these«brown bag» lunches for the downtown crowd a try. I’ve been here twice for brunch with friends and both times I went away beaming. I highly recommend Fresh!

Went here with a girl friend for a coffee date. Great little café in downtown and definitely has parking in the area which makes it easy to get to. I enjoyed my drink and my cookie but it was a little cold in the store. The staff were very friendly and I loved that everything was made«fresh»! I definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the neighborhood!

Went to Fresh for another Unilocaler’s birthday brunch. Maybe because of all the hype here on Unilocal,I was expecting a lot more. When I walked in I thought«this looks like any café that would be in the main floor of an apartment building». There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it was just quite plain. The brunch menu is small, with a handful of plates like«bubble and squeak»(potatoes with cheese on top and sour cream and salsa on the side), french toast and a couple of others that I don’t remember. I was pleased that all of the dishes were under $ 10. I ordered the potatoes because I figured the french toast wouldn’t be enough. I was starving. We sat at one of the handful of tables outside and were brought our food a short while later. I was let down with my meal. It was… just a plate of potatoes. With some uneven globs of melted cheese and a few slices of peppers and onions. And the sour cream and salsa came in the tiniest little plastic cups. Definitely not enough. It was also served with two pieces of(very delicious) bread, but it would have been nice to have a couple of fruit slices or something to add some variety. It tasted fine, but I wouldn’t consider it worth paying $ 9 for. Five stars for the staff of three ladies who were working that day, one of whom is the owner and one of the others who apparently has worked there all along. They were super duper friendly, and I can see how they make people very welcome at their café. I did take note that their display of baked goods all looked quite delicious. I’m definitely not writing off Fresh Café. If/when I go back, I’ll try out some of the nice looking muffins or cakes and stick to that.

I come here quite often whether its for a quick breakfast or just a cup of coffee. The staff are very friendly and it’s unheard of to walk in without being greeted with a big smile. The menu is simple, Muffins, cookies, sandwiches and every Friday a veggie chili special(f.y.i its a HUGE bowl of chili). I like it here and I will continue to come back. Only downside is macaroni Wednesday. The cheese sauce is boring and the noodles overcooked. Avoid the macaroni.

Meh, friendly staff and inviting premises don’t completely make up for average portion sizes(well, average excepting the ginormous slices of carrot cake) and higher than average(or deserved) prices. I’m glad to have tried Fresh Café, but having done so, I’m unlikely to make a return visit. This place is a tad overrated in my opinion.

The brown bag lunch returns and this ain’t your mom’s brown bag lunch. Think fresh and creative sandwiches and a big honkin’ cookie plus fruit and veg(can’t forget those). It’s a steal at only 10 bucks. What a great concept. I love the urban yet cozy atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the neat art on the walls. Their selection of gelato changes frequently and is perfect in a Caffe Affogato. Try«skrock», which is macadamia and chocolate. Paired with espresso, it’s a combination that will leave you salivating for more. A welcome addition to downtown.

Fresh café definitely lives up to its name! Although I only had a multigrain bagel with cream cheese it was well toasted and very tasty! They had just taken out a batch of cookies that smelled so heavenly that I’m not sure how I resisted buying one! I also had a Strawberry Peach Italian Soda that was recommended to me. I was impressed that they used Perrier for their Soda. It was around 3pm so it was nice and calm in there and I started to smell the chilli that they were making for Friday’s soup special. I wanted to come and try that after a full 20+ hours of simmering. Finally I got great service, fast wifi and one of the 3 available parking spots!

Oh my gosh! This place will change your life, trust me. It’s a small café hidden in Oliver — I actually drove right past it the first time I was trying to find it. But lucky for me, I spotted it the second time ’round. A few tables here. It’s mostly for coffee and small bites, like delicious pastries and gelato.(Yum!) They also serve bagged lunches for the downtown crowd, which I think is super cute. It includes a sandwich, a drink, a veggie, and a treat. I love that! Sunday brunch is the real reason to stop by. No, actually, to be more specific, the poppyseed french toast is the real reason to stop by. This french toast will change your life. Not only is it incredibly filling(I could only finish one out of two pieces), but it’s absolutely fantastic. Trust me when I say I was very disappointed that I couldn’t finish the whole plate! The owner is absolutely adorable and has an awesome job with this place. Hot coffee, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere. I also love her bright blue cowboy boots. Anyone know where I can find me a pair?

Considering I’ve been here for brunch 3 weekends in a row, plus some evening snack visits, it’s probably time for me to update my review. The staff here continue to be amazing. so welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious. I’m still in love with their cookies, but I’ve also had their muffins and their brunch and you can’t really go wrong. They’ve set out some tables and chairs on the grass in front of the café now that the weather’s improving, plus they keep the front door open so even if you’re inside you get a nice breeze. Love it!

Gelato! Espresso! Chai! Right in my neighbourhood! Excellent service! And everything served here is either prepared in-house or it’s locally sourced! I’m in heaven! These days, I am so eager to get out of the house, but I don’t always get too far with a tiny baby. I have a feeling the ladies at Fresh Café will be seeing a lot of us!
