Since I am in Belgravia a lot I come here often. This place has a great location, right next to the LRT station so I can grab a coffee and hop on before going to campus. I’ve also had coffee here multiple times since being in Edmonton. It’s pretty much the only thing in the area, so I’m glad that it’s a cute little place. If you are going to drink something here I would definitely recommend the Chai Latte. It’s so good! I get it pretty much every time I go. I’ve also tried the beef barley soup and asian wrap. Both were decent. I tend to like their cold sandwiches better though, even though they can be a bit pricey. Service is always really good and employees are friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

Nice quiet Café for daytime lunch/café/tea with a friend. Great for those going to be in university/hospital area. Quiet, older tree lined neighbourhood. Great home made soups/wraps/treats. Lovely patio in summer. Check hours, not sure it’s open evenings.

Just ridiculously over-priced. 2 «large» soups(the equivalent to a small in every other restaurants standards) + 2 grilled cheese(made WITHOUT butter and a thin slice of marble cheese) + ½ a slice of bread(I’m not sure why there is a charge for half of a slice of bread, especially when you order a soup) = $ 28.00!!! I couldn’t believe it! Definitely not going to return.

I am torn. I liked the café, the ambiance, the people. I liked the soup but some salt, pepper and hot sauce on the table would have been nice. Maybe they were around but the soup was nice enough to live without it. The sandwich, pre-made and came out hot on the outside and refrigerator cold in the middle. It should be one or the other. Portion was good, flavour, nothing special. The coffee. I should have known better. I saw the bag of Transcend on the bar. I prefer my coffee with out sugar and if it is a drip I take it black. I asked for a cappuccino. A nice flat capp, colouring a bit dark, with a bit of a leaf poured into the centre of a very attractive cup. I took a sip and knew immediately like most Transcend coffee I have tried, I would need to disguise the flavour. Off to find the sweets… Next time, I would have tea.

Gracious Goods is a small neighborhood café tucked away in the Belgravia community. The staff are friendly and it has a really mature and mellow vibe. I found sitting in the café far more relaxing then I usually find it sitting at one of the coffee shops down on Whyte. The menu features a pretty healthy selection of cold and hot beverages as well as light breakfast and lunch fare. I got their yogurt parfait today and was surprised and delighted to find grapes in it versus the traditional all berry parfaits im used to ordering from Tim Horton’s. For my drink I got an iced caramel macchiato and while it was good I was a bit surprised with how small the cup was compared to what I paid for it. If I hadn’t enjoyed the beverage itself as well as the parfait as much as I did I might be a bit sour over it but I am willing to dole out a bit of extra money to a quality locally ran business like Gracious Goods. Some other cool things I noticed while stopping in today was that their to go cups are from a company that makes compostable products and they also have a small case in the corner featuring handmade jewelry from local artists. I live all the way out in Londonderry so it’s not likely this will be a regular stop from me but you can bet when I do happen to be around the neighborhood I will be making a return trip to Gracious Goods.

Gracious Café is a neighborhood corner coffee shop next to the Belgravia-McKernan LRT station. I didn’t even know that they had a coffee shop in this area until my friend who works around this area suggested that we should try this coffee shop out because he had a coupon. This café is very diverse where you can come and enjoy a coffee with a friend, catch up on some studying, read a book or even set up a work meeting, They have tables, chairs and armchairs of all sizes to choose from. In the back corner, I noticed that they had a few toys for kids to play with. Gracious Café believe in healthy eating contributes to a healthy body and mind. On the menu they have café-made soups, a few vegan food choices and several organic drinks. Some of there sweets are made in house and some of them are from the bakery. You can order from the breakfast menu all day. There is definately more of a personal touch here when they make you a drink then at a Franchise coffee shop. GC is happy to partner with local suppliers such as Trenscend Coffee, Artisan Bakery Shop, Vienna Bakery Shop, Hendrickson Bagel and Pinocchio Italian Ice Cream. Not only are that, but they also support local artist by displaying their paintings, cards, hand blown ball glass and jewelries here for sale. It’s really sweet to know that there are Entrepreneurs that support other Entrepreneurs in the community. If you need a place to host a small get together for a birthday or an engagement party, Gracious Café is willing to rent out there café in the evening. Gracious Café represents a giving back to the community philosophy!

The Gracious Goods Café is a great local little café. Although the prices for the Gracious Goods Café are a little higher than some other cafes, I still quite enjoy it. The atmosphere in the café is always quite calm and relaxing. It’s a good place to grab a coffee and read your book or catch up on that paper that you need to write. It’s also a good place to grab a quick lunch. They have a nice patio during the summer as well so you don’t have to sit inside. Good coffee and good food, what else do you need?

I’ve driven by Gracious Goods Café a few times, but I’m always on my way home and had no time to stop. My daughter is Brownies nearby and I was pleased to see that Gracious Goods is open until 8pm on Wednesday nights. So, rather than go home and come back, I tend to stop in here for a bite and a tea. I’m not sure if they make any food on premise, but they bring in some great food from The Good Oven, Vienna Bakery and Greenhouse Salad. Everything I’ve had here so far has been great. I’ve yet to try their baked goods; they look good and there’s even vegan options for those so inclined. I’ve generally ordered a tea latte and they’ve been decent, but not amazing. It comes fairly quick, so maybe it’s not steeped long enough. If so, that’s an easy fix. It looks like they carry a decent selection of tea.

I was riding my bike through the Belgravia area after having a very busy day — so busy, in fact, that I had not even had time for coffee yet. I did not know Gracious Goods existed, but what a happy discovery it was! The place was filled with mostly students and what appeared to be neighbouhood regulars. My iced latte hit the spot — it was not the richest or boldest in flavour, and actually tasted a little watered down. However, it still hit the spot. Combined with free WiFi, nice washrooms, and a menu with enough light fare to have kept me happy if I had actually wanted something to eat, I would say that Gracious Goods is a great little spot. I will definitely return when I am in the area. One of the previous reviewed made a mistake in terms of location — Gracious Goods is actually located a couple of blocks west of the Belgravia LRT station, not Health Sciences. It isn’t a long walk from that one either, but Belgravia is closer.

Allan G and I were out this afternoon thrifting and antiquing, and decided to stop by Belgravia Books and Treasures so I could check out the writing books. Since I’ve been wanting to try out Gracious Goods, we stopped in for a little snack beforehand. Allan ordered the Chorizo-Garbanzo Stew and a bagel. I ordered a soup and sandwich combo, with a cup of the Chorizo-Garbanzo Stew and a Club Sandwich on a Cheese Bagel. We both had Banana Colada Fuze drinks from the fridge case. We got a table near the window, enjoying the coziness and the comfy chairs, the art on the walls, and the warm atmosphere. The stew was very good, with big chunks of the sausage, potatoes, garbanzo beans, and what looked like spinach. The seasonings were also good. The sandwich was good, with turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato. You can choose your sauce, and I picked mayo, but it needed a little more flavor. Maybe something like a chipotle mayo or another type of sauce might give it a little more kick than the lackluster flavor it had. The service was friendly and we got our food quick too. Will definitely be back to try more of the items on the menu.

I never knew this place existed until I went to Belgravia Books and Treasure a few weeks ago. Gracious Goods is located next door, but it was close when I was there. So I came back a few days ago. This café is just a block from the Mckernan Belgravia LRT station. It looks like a quiet neighbourhood café, so I was actually really surprised to find the café was pretty busy. I imagined I’d open the door and be the only person(aside from an employee or two) there. But there were several tables filled with people drinking coffee. Bonus GG has Transcend coffee beans, both for the drinks they make and aslo available for purchase. Of course they don’t have all the drinks Transcend does(for example GG doesn’t have a flat white) but you can still get Transcend coffee. The price is good, and the carmel machiato that I had was delicious. There’s several tea options as well, including loose tea that you can purchase. I didn’t have any food, but there were a lot of options to choose from, salads, soups, sandwiches, baked goods… a typical café fare. The food comes from local places as well, Fresh Start Bisto and The Greenhouse, which is great. The quinoa salad looked pretty delicious. I’d definitely try this place for lunch. The café is a decent size, not too small but not large either. There are several tables to site at and do some work(free wifi) or read a paper. There’s also several couch like chairs. The décor isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s nice, a neutral colour scheme. GG features items that you can purchase from local artists. When I went there were several photos, nature photos on display as well as some crafts. Only downside are the hours, GG closes by about 5pm on most days(they close by 3pm on Sundays). They are open by 7:15 during the week and 9am on weekends, so you can easily stop here for breakfast if you live/work in the area.

Disappointing. I live in the neighborhood and locked myself out of the house and car this morning. I forgot my bank and credit card at home, so I was up the creek. I went in to try to warm up and managed to SCRAPE together $ 1.56 in my purse. As the min price for a small coffee was $ 2.35 I asked if I could come back a bit later once I took the train downtown to get keys and a bit of cash from a friend. They would not give me a coffee, saying they had been burned before. A small cup of coffee … Really?! By the way, after I picked up my spare key and the cash I stopped in at Starbucks, now desparate for a coffee. After asking how my day was and telling the barista about my crazy day so far, they gave me a latte on the house. Made what was already a frustrating day a little sunnier. «Gracious» goods? Not so much.

Gracious Goods is one of those fabulous, out-of-the-way cafes you might not know about unless you know someone who lives in Belgravia. It’s really popular as a neighbourhood hangout. GG is very cozy, the perfect spot for a coffee date with a friend at one of their little tables, or a neat study spot if you want to curl up into one of their armchairs. I came by and ordered a latte for a coffee date with friends. My latte was good — they use Transcend beans here, so of course it was good! But I must say, a latte brewed at Transcend is better. However, it’s great to see local businesses supporting other local businesses! In addition to Transcend, GG serves Greenhouse soups plus — my fav — Pinocchio ice cream! One critique: it’s a bit of a small place and the smell of food sort of filled up the entire place. The air was a bit stuffy.

If you get there early enough for the warm gooey hazelnut cinnamon buns, or if you get there on a nice sunny day and get to relax out on the spacious and sunny patio, or if you have a chat with the exceptionally warm and friendly staff, you’ll know exactly why I have given Gracious Goods five stars. Located just a block West of the Health Sciences LRT Station, Gracious Goods is a small local café and bakery that serves as the neighbourhood stop for the community of Belgravia. For those of you who remember Hulberts Musical Café that sadly closed, Gracious Goods is the happy café that opened on location! If you are on the LRT heading up to the U of A, do yourself a favor, get off a stop early, and go and take in the sunshine and grab a snack. For the fare, I’ve been there for snacks, coffees, croisants, and of course the ciniamon buns. My guest had the soup and sandwich and spoke highly of them, but I can’t really speak to them personally except they smelled and looked tasty… I think they are in the process of growing and expanding. The café opens at 7AM and is perfect for a snack and go or stay and nosh. I love the local atmosphere where everyone seems to know everyone. The place is clean, classy, and has a very relaxed feel about it. I was using Wi-Fi last time I was there, but I can’t remember if I was *borrowing* it off of a local neighbour or not… This time of year their backyard patio is just phenomenal and you can get hours and hours of sunshine.

This is a cute little café that I would have missed if it were not 3 blocks from my house. They serve excellent Transcend coffee and Greenhouse soups and sandwiches. They also have baked goods including bread for coffee time or to take home with you. Saturday and Sunday mornings they have fresh waffles with berries and either whipped cream or Pinnochio ice cream for(I think) $ 7.99. They make each waffle fresh in the iron when you order it.

A nice new café in Belgravia, near the LRT station. They get their coffee beans from Transcend, and their baked goods from another local bakery. Comfy chairs, free wi-fi, not too expensive. My regular spot for an afternoon cuppa.
