The best service in Edmonton! Amazing food! The owner is honestly the nicest guy in the world, he bent over backward to make us food before the restaurant was even open. Check this place out!

Ive only been here once, and I’ve been meaning to go back(my boyfriend isn’t a huge Indian food fan), but yum! I ordered the butter chicken, which, along with several other dishes, you can choose the spice level for. You choose from level 1 – 5(5 being the spiciest), I got a 3 and it was exactly how I wanted it to be; a perfect balance between spicy, sweet and savoury. The dishes are served sort of separated, so you get your rice, then a huge bowl of butter chicken floating in sauce, so you can add them together, or eat them separate. You also get complimentary naan bread with your meal, which is so good! It almost melts in your mouth! It’s a tiny little restaurant; there are only a handful of tables, so the service is fast, and the feeling is intimate. You’re paid attention to closely and your drinks are always re-filled — which is good when you’re(purposely) catching your mouth on fire from all that wonderful Indian spice! If you’re craving Indian food, and you want authentic, Fusion is the place to go!

I took my husband here for dinner on his birthday; we just moved into the area & thought we’d go cos it’s close by & we love Indian food. And we were not disappointed :) We had mughlai lamb, bison masala, and some coconut naan and rice, and it was all great. It was really flavourful, the servings were a good size for the price, the rice and naan bread were perfect! We had some lassis as well, and they came in a few flavours, and weren’t too sweet, which was nice. The lady who served us was really helpful and very friendly! What’s cool is that they have a variety of foods here, particularly Fijian food. We stuck with the Indian this time, but we’re super curious about the Fijian food & probably will try it next time. They also had some stuff that was different but done in Indian style– like the bison masala we had, as well as crocodile, rabbit, duck, and elk. Also, the décor was really cute, and the prices were reasonable. I’d definitely recommend this place :)

There were two of us for lunch and we each had a lunch special. I had the ‘buffet’ lunch special which was $ 13.99/person and came with 2 veggie curries and 2 meat dishes, rice and naan bread. First of all they say it’s a buffet but the 4 plates with the rice and bread are more then an average person can finish so it’s not really a buffet. Even if you’re able to finish 1 – 3 dishes you need to finish all 4 before you can get the second round of curries. Also while I was there I heard 3 tables ask if they can share this special but it was an apologetic ‘no’ each time. It’s a good marketing ploy but I think many people felt confused and somehow ripped off by the situation. The two veggie curries were not to my liking so I didn’t have more then one bite of them. I did finish the butter chicken and the Masala Beef curry with 80% of the rice and all the Naan. They also allow you to takeout any leftovers which also proves it’s not really a buffet. The manager was very nice when he said ‘no’ to each sharing request and he did offer some other options… ‘like’ their facebook account, check in or review on Unilocal and that would give you a free dessert. He also provided another lunch special which was the rice and butter chicken for $ 8.99. You can swap the rice out for Naan for a nominal charge(what my lunch partner did) or add the Naan for $ 2.50. For the value and amount of food I would probably go with the butter chicken special next time instead of the buffet. ps. We also got 10% off our bill for ‘liking’ their facebook page.

I often say that the mark of a really great Indian restaurant is their baingan Barta(eggplant dish) — theirs has that authentic smoky flavour mingled with a swift curry kick– impossible to replicate, a must-try here in Edmonton.

You get good portion size for the money. I suggest asking about the specials. They make many items that are not listed on the menu. I have given this place a new rating of five and think that they can really be one of Edmonton’s best restaurants if they market properly to keep up the volumes needed to maintain their excellent food quality.

And so, it was Canada Day. It was a really warm sunny day and I figured — a spicy adventure into Indian Fusion could very well make me and my partner’s day even spicier with a great fusion of flavour. This Indian Fusion restaurant provides both the Indian and Fijian Cuisines. Although the décor on the outside does not quite scream«Come in and try me! «. A benefit of doubt was nonetheless given in their favour. One is always required to take a pinch of salt in everything they see or hear. Experience is definitely everything. And so, we walked right in — only welcomed by an unpleasant smell in the air. We persevered on and was soon greeted by an Indian lady with hardly any smiles on her face. I bet, she was just dying to get out of the restaurant and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather… while it last. Bless her little cotton sox. To awaken our palates from their slumbering selves, we had 1 order of the Tandoori Samosa filled with seasoned potatoes which came with two pieces of samosas(typically samosas are fried, but Indian Fusion does it the oven baked way). We would not consider ordering it again after all Samosas are still best cooked when they are fried. The flavours were definitely quite lacking. But, it may be a good one for the healthy fanatics out there. As for our entrees, we had the classic Butter Chicken, Goat Surva, Garlic Naan and Saffron Rice. The Butter Chicken was creamy and delicious but the chicken could be a little bit more cooked to a good level of tenderness. I had my Goat Surva’s level of spiciness at 5 out of 5. When I finally tasted it, it didn’t felt as spicy as a Vindaloo would. But then, it had a nice kick at the end of each bite. The Goat meat was beautifully cooked. Utterly tender and flavourful. The only downside was the bones. Be weary of it, for it may be your next unexpected bite into it. GREATFOOD!!! But definitely nothing great or even a tinge of friendliness about the service. For that, I give it a 4-star. Will definitely return again for the Goat Surva. YUMMYUMM!!! P. S. Writing this review actually reminds me of every bite I had of the Goat surva. Dang! It’s making me hungry. –_–

I checked out this restaurant about a month ago. I love this place! my friend had recommended to me. Everything about this place is great. The service, the food, the atmosphere. The appies are very good. I got the paneer tikka. And WOW. it was so good. You wouldn’t even tell youre eating paneer not chicken. For dinner I got the butter chicken. I don’t think they use cream, so its healthier which is good. But it was delicious, I cant wait to go back and get it again. For dessert we had tea, and gulab jaman. Probably one of the best sweets ive had. We met the owner and his wife! They were very friendly and kind. Made us feel like we were eating at home. Very attentive and just the sweetest people. You could see how much he loved the restaurant. The prices here are good too. I would def go back! I recommended this anyone who wants great Indian food and amazing service!

Only been here once, a couple years ago, and I remember it being a pretty good experience. I had my usually Indian order that probably ever white male gets(butter chicken and naan bread) and it was very tasty. Staff was nice too. Oddly what I loved the most was there was a TV playing this Matrix Bollywood movie. It was so bad and so good all at once and my girlfriend and I were having a great time making jokes about it. I would actually love to own this movie too. What I didn’t like about it was that it was a small place and felt a bit crammed. The location sucks on a late night weekend because all the parking is taken up by the pub it’s connected to so go during a weekday if you can.

FYI, this review is based on one delivery experience. I would have given them 4 stars but 1– I thought it was pretty expensive(I like to have lots of leftover so I usually get a meat dish, a fish dish, a vegetable dish, a lentil dish, rice and naan) and 2– it took well over an hour for them to deliver our meal. This place has a very interesting menu, being a mix of Indian and Fijian cuisine. Of the dishes we ordered, the duck masala was pretty good, as was the fish Goan curry. Everything seemed freshly prepared. Even with the delay in delivery, the quality of food was good enough that I would try this place again, though maybe as a dine-in experience.

The food was fantastic(by far some of the best Indian I have had in Edmonton), and it was really reasonably priced. We ordered paneer makhni($ 12.95), mixed vegetable curry($ 10.95), some naan and saffron rice, along with a masala chai to drink. The whole meal(besides the naan for Brendan) was gluten free and vegetarian. If you are looking for a good quality meal for a reasonable price definitely try out The Curry House.

Things I love about Indian Fusion: 1) The food: healthy twists on some of my favourite Indian dishes(butter chicken, potatoes and peas, etc.). Lightened up whenever possible, these dishes leave me feeling less heavy and stuffed than other restaurants. The curries are always fresh and yummy, and their naan is perfect(if a bit buttery!). 2) The space: it’s very cozy and warm. Brick walls, lots of Fijian artwork. 3) The service: the owner is extremely friendly and consistently goes above and beyond in terms of service. Whether it’s providing menu advice, or throwing in a few free gulab jamun dishes at the end of a meal, he is a standup owner. 4) The price: their lunch special is fantastic. It’s $ 11.99 for all you can eat, except instead of having a buffet, they bring a selection of 4 curries, naan and rice to your table for that price. It’s a great way to experience multiple dishes that you might not otherwise try, and they’re never cold or stale after languishing under a heat lamp for too long. In all, Indian Fusion is a great Indian/Fijian spot in the downtown core, and is a staple in my weekly lunch rotation. Great stuff.

Went here with family. We eat a lot of Indian food so we know what is good. The food here was average at best, I was looking forward to a really nice meal. My brother found a staple in his curry. That could happen anywhere I guess. The atmosphere is really nice, too bad the food was not as good. The following day I was pretty sick, you be the judge.

Had yet another fabulous lunch at Indian Fusion! Probably the best deal on indian and Fijian food in this city — we even ordered in from them for our Staff party recently and were amazed — this place is yummy! Prakash and his partner truly make fantastic food — thanks!

Indian Fusion showcases both Indian and Fijian cuisine, which sets it apart from other Edmonton restaurants. The interior is dressed in rich colours and features Hindi pop music, and the menu spans Indian standards(eg. butter chicken, dhal) and not-so-common Fijian dishes(eg. rooster, pumpkin chokha). The rooster is deep, rich and tender, and far more nuanced than mild, white chicken typically is. The Indian side of the menu is above average, but for a memorable dining experience, I recommend sticking to the Fijian side.
