I love you J. Crew! You are in my top two favourite day to day clothing brands.
Ok, enough of my love profession for this store. The sales associates here are also fantastic. Ken and Jen, in particular, are friendly, chatty, knowledgeable and helpful! I am always remembered when I come into the store, and often addressed by name (probably a result of my frequent shopping trips here, lol).
Many people have stated that J. Crew is expensive; yes, it’s on the higher end, but the price tag is matched by the quality. A lot of the pieces are classic staples, which will not go out of style in a season or two, and they will physically last years without deteriorating. I wear J. Crew items on a daily basis, to school/​work and even for special occasions. What has really impressed me in the last year or so, is the costume jewellery; I love big earrings and necklaces, but I want unique looking pieces, and J. Crew has really stepped up their designing game in the jewellery department.
J.Crew always has some sort of sale going on. You can score yourself an incredible deal from time to time, including cashmere when it is in season!

So here’s one man’s review on the guy’s section of clothing for JCrew which is pushed back into very far reaches of the store and left there to be forgotten by time. A slight exaggeration? Maybe. But I understand, we all know who driving this economy and it’s not me in my Golden State Warriors T-​Shirt.
My sense is the clothes are of quality. Lots of bolder and more daring colours and relaxed fabrics. It’s one of the stores where the XL size comfortable fits me. That can be difficult sometimes. For example Club Monoco’s XL is significantly smaller and might be an XL in Japan, definitely not here in Canada. I also have large legs and the pants fit decent. The leg room is proportional the waist size, at least for me. That being said the price point is high. Very high! I can’t really purchase anything here without feeling ripped off. The counter to this fact is that the sales here make me happy! I did find a pair of pants here for 25% of the price tag, However, this appears to be more the exception than the norm. Great quality blazers if that’s your thing.
I like it here, but the price is in some cases ridiculous. I’d much rather check out Simon’s just a bit further down the mall.

The famed American Store J. Crew decided to cross the boarder and provide their collegiate catalogue clothes to Canada. I figured (as a self proclaimed fashionista) that I better get my derrière to the mall and check out the newly opened store in West Edmonton Mall.
Now, I previously did not know a lot about J. Crew, past the fact that before Internet Shopping was invented they became famous for selling their wears to people (mainly on the East Coast of the US to Harvard and Yale graduates whom play polo & name boats) through their mail-​out catalogue. And, that today the brand is a favorite of one Mrs Michelle Obama. Other then that, was not sure what to expect…
What I found was a paradise of cashmere twin-​sets, cute shoes, very nice (with very expensive price-​tags) leather hand bags, over-​priced costume jewelry, well tailored blouses and dress shirts, and then: Pencil skirt perfection.
Rows upon rows of at least 20 colours of the same pencil skirt that must have taken decades to perfect. It was like it was specifically tailored to me, a second skin that boasts to the world ‘I am sexy & smart’. As I zipped it up and turned around in the mirror my mouth literally fell open. Never in my life have I met a better made, perfect fitting skirt. Once again, it was…

I love you, J Crew. You have high quality items, great for both work and casual, that seems to actually be of good quality. Great fabric, pretty good fit.
And sales that I would say are LEGITIMATE sales. Where else can you get 100% silk dress for less than $ 50? Or a pencil skirt that actually is thick, lined, and of a variety of patterns and colours for $ 30? OK, so your Made in Italy shoes don’t seem to go for less than $ 100, but your other nice shoes, when they go on sale (though Made in China), can go for as little as $ 30, too, when they are normally $ 100.
That being said, you are expensive, so I probably won’t buy anything here unless I have a wedding to go to, or an important work function, or like mentioned above, an incredible sale.
I also agree with Jessica L about the US sizing — haha, I never knew I was a Size 0? You flatter me, J Crew.
I also liked the sales associates at this location. They seemed to a) genuinely be friendly, and b) genuinely like being there. Both times I’ve gone, different ladies were as approachable and nice as they should be. Great experience.

I. AM. SO. HAPPY!!!
I have been a lover of J. Crew from a distance for YEARS, but have always been afraid to order online after a bad experience with a major lingerie chain that I will not name (although you can also visit them in West Ed!). I have been walking by the J. Crew location for a while, eagerly anticipating their opening in «summer 2012». I had a few minutes while in the area today so I thought I would go see if it was «summer 2012» yet, and it WAS! I fell in LOVE the second I walked into the store. The clothes are beautiful, well made and in lots of great fabrics. Most of their items can be dressed up or down and can be used as staple items with a little extra personality. They have only womens at this location, but lots of helpful well dressed men to help you out! The sales associates were very friendly and very helpful. I don’t think I had an item in my hands for more than a second before I had it in a room. They carry bags and shoes as well as jewelry and accessories with lots of colours and options to help you finish an outfit.
I will be visiting this store often, especially if their merchandise changes as often as it does on their website. I am also extremely happy with their sizing! It’s US sizing so suddenly I am wearing a much smaller size than ever before! Needless to say I left feel very very good not only about myself but my entire experience.
