This place used to be great. It’s still pretty good, but the staff and management changed and more and more often the trays are low on food and whats left is picked over, mushed up noodles. Its not bad for the price, that’s the only thing that keeps me coming here.

Great food, good service, great prices. 9 bucks, choose what you want and they Fry it. Simple and yummy, I’d reccomend!

They are now very aggressive about the weight of your bowl. You will be charged 4 $ more even if you think you made a light bowl. This place has lost its deal luster and its charm.

Great Mongolian BBQ. Reasonable price and huge portions(provide you elect to make it huge when you put it together). Always order to go so you can get the container – it’s easy to get two substantial meals out of the place for under $ 10. Really good selection of meat, noodles, veggies and sauce – even the pickiest eater is bound to find something to like.

Easily one of the best Asian«fast food» restaurants out there. I love getting the Mongolian BBQ and making what I want. The price is reasonable, and the helpings can be huge depending on how much food you can cram into the bowl. Plus it can be a healthier alternative to traditional fast food!

I ate dinner here tonight, and was quite impressed. The guy at the counter was super friendly, and let me keep my coupon after cashing it in so it could be used again. The wait wasn’t too bad, and it was nice to watch someone actually cook my food infront of me. I ordered a beef vermicelli bowl, and was pleasantly surprised to not see any of the cheap, fatty meat often used in these dishes. The only negative part was they forgot to give me fish sauce, so the noodles were a little bland when I got home to eat!

When it comes to fast food, I absolutely adore this place. The Mongolia BBQ is where it’s at(and yes there are a multitude of other options on the menu! :) I like the fact that there is a tap for water for customers, the fact that the food is reasonably priced and delivered quickly to your table, and the fact that there is a good selection of meat, veggies and noodles to put in your stirfry. This place is not much to look at, but that’s not why you’re there: you’re there for the inexpensive delicious food! :) I would visit more frequently if it were located closer to other places I frequented more often!

I don’t eat a lot of stir-fry, so I was unsure if I’d really like eating here. My boyfriend has eaten here many times and assured me I would love it. And guess what? He was right! I liked being able to choose my own stir-fry ingredients– I love lots of onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts and red peppers. I wish I could’ve added a little more meat as it tends to shrink one it’s cooked. Our meal option also included a small side of white rice and a choice of soup(wonton and hot & sour). My stir-fry was hot and delicious, but I was only able to eat half of it because I got so full! Mongolia Express is definitely one of my favorite places to eat now! I’m looking forward to going back again!

I have been here many times, if you come Sundays before 8:30 pm you can usually sit in the restaurant, otherwise they close at 9pm and its only takeout. Ive just done the dinner thing tonight, tried the Mongolia grill for 7.75 its was cheap eating and with my usual oyster sauce quite tasty. For 8 bucks you can get the stir fry with a small bowl of steamed rice and small bowl of either won ton soup or sweet and sour. I only have the sweet and sour soup now as it is way better flavor. Staff are friendly and quite efficient to get your food to stay or go if your in a hurry. For 3 or 4 bucks extra you can get a small bowl of frozen shrimp they can stir fry into your dish. I did this once and didn’t think it was worth the extra cost and its a small shrimp portion to boot. They have student specials daily from 11 – 3 pm(I think). I come here for the extra value but cant believe how many firemen and paramedics stop here to eat-so if your in poor health or know someone ailing –then this is THEPLACE to eat.

Spouse and I went there recently and while the food was okay, the reason I give it one star is because the complimentary water tap bad mold all over the spout! It was very visible and apparent that it had not been clean in quite some tiime. So basically every time you fill up your water you get that in your cup. It was disgusting and that sort of lack of cleanliness could get someone sick. How hard is it to clean a tap? I can only imagine what the kitchen would have to offer. If they are not that attentive to what the public sees and and drinks from, it makes me very skeptical at to what sort of cleaning, if at all, is done in the kitchen. Won’t go back because I do not know what was done to the food or how it was handled.

I often crave a noodle-y dish so it really doesn’t get any better than this for me when it comes to fast food. It’s a rare day when you will hear me say«Naw, I don’t think I feel like stir-fry today.» And since I am super picky about what goes into my meals, this is definitely my preferred stir-fry takeout establishment. Growing up in a family of onion, pepper, and spice lovers as the only one who was not a huge fan of these foods items, I became quite successful at carefully dissecting my food to remove the undesired ingredients(yeah — I am a little OCD about it but we all have our quirks, right?). It is a breath of fresh air to go somewhere and get exactly what you want — no more or less! And for a fair price(I want to say $ 7.50) you can get just that at Mongolia Express. A full bowl for me is at least 2 meals so it‘s not a bad deal at all. So far, I have never had to wait in line — that‘s always a bonus! Sometimes it really is the simple things — and a lot can be said for enjoying my favourite dish without worrying about unknowingly biting into a creepily textured water chestnut or something of the sort.

When it comes to «make it yourself» restaurants, this place is my favorite. It has a wide selection of fresh ingredients and sauces without being overwhelming.(I tend to feel that way at the Mongolie Grill) And I feel like I should mention the way they cut/prepare the chicken — It’s phenomenal. It’s almost like it’s shaved or something… but whatever they do it’s super delicious! I recommend(like Brittany) the #2. The stirfry, rice and soup. It’s very filling and satisfying. Make sure that if you have leftovers, take them home! It reheats really well in the microwave.

I think this might be my favourite quick eats spot in the city. I find myself eating on the go pretty frequently and I love that this place isn’t part of a massive chain. I also love any kind of Asian flavours, plus the part where it’s made exactly to your liking! Been to Mongolie Grill? It’s the same idea. Place your order(I recommend #2 — a stirfry bowl plus soup and rice), load up your bowl(meat, veggies, noodles), have the staff scoop your sauce(I go for anything spicy — it’s really not that spicy), then they cook it up nice and hot and quick! The soup usually comes out while you wait, too. Get it to go or sit in the restaurant — it’s an awesome meal if you’re short on time and especially on a cold day.
