Love this place. Have been searching for good sushi that is not Kyoto! Found this place and was very impressed with the food. Have only tried the sushi but the menu is very extensive … Covers most Asian cuisines! So one would expect mediocre everything! Very pleased to have happened upon this delight. Great staff too!

I came here one day on a break from school. I like going to Jasper Gates because it gives me a bit of a walk, but it’s still close enough that I don’t have to eat and run. I ordered a bento type of combo with the gyoza dumpings and some sushi rolls. I’ve only ever had sushi at the fastfood type places(I know, I know), and I have to say I quite enjoyed Moshi Moshi. The dumplings were delicious, as was the sushi. I also got a piece of salmon sashami and it was very good. The prices were reasonable, and the service was pretty quick. I came by today to grab a bite and I noticed a sign saying that Moshi Moshi would be closed for renovations, and that they had new management and would soon be opening up a new Japanese restaurant(I believe it was going to be Koi something). I really enjoyed eating at Moshi Moshi so I hope the new restaurant, when it opens will be as good.

I like Moshi Moshi! They have some excellent sushi with a variety of options for vegetarians, it’s nice in there, and everyone was friendly. The one step away from five stars is really the price. Just a bit high, but not a deterrant for most days.

Dinner review: First off– I picked up a wicked deal find on this place, $ 25 for $ 50 of food! What a steal! We ordered the following-spring rolls, green onion cake, chicken cutlet Yakiudon, some sushi and sinampal na manok. The service Here is very friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable! Very enjoyable from the first walk in. Green onion cake — served piping hot it a very tasty dish. Best I’ve had on the city. I nice crunchy outer layer with a soft inner filled with mouth watering flavor. By far my favorite! Spring rolls– filled with taste! Not bland at all. Great crunchy shell with pork inside. Unlike other places which I find fill their spring rolls with a little pork and alot of «rabbit food» inside. More meet less veggies! Yakiudon-Wow. The chicken is tender with a crispy batter surrounding. Very tasty sauce and udon noodles at it’s best. Sinampal– girlfriend describes it as «really really good» Spicy salmon rolls– wow. I’ve tasted a few places in Edmonton such as Tokyo express where they serve it hot, not to my liking. Moshi serves it at room temp which settles nice in the mouth. Mouth watering, melts in your mouth spicy salmon rolls!

This place is ridiculous! Ridiculously Delicious! My trip to Edmonton(for the first time in 5 years) started with my cousin taking me to Moshi Moshi since I was craving sushi. From what I gathered, this place is a family owned business that serves not only Japanese but Filipino food as well! It’s self seating but we were greeted right away with some water and tea. For a city that does not have a major body of water nearby, the sashimi was so fresh, it melted in my mouth. We also ordered a few rolls: Dragon Roll, Mexican Roll, and the Moshi Moshi roll. I enjoyed the little tempura crunchies in some of the rolls. My cousin and I did not even finish our rolls, they were HUGE! The best kept secret is that the Toro is one of the cheapest and freshest you will find in Edmonton…$ 4 for 2 pieces! When I come back to visit Edmonton, this place is a definite stop for me, maybe next time, I will get to try the Filipino food!

Moshi Moshi is a Japanese restaurant in a location that previously hosted another venue with the same cuisine. It has a low-priced menu with a lot of selection, even venturing into other Asian dishes such as lemon chicken and onion cakes. There is also an entire page of Filipino foods, including something that looked like it used Spam as the main ingredient. The majority of the menu, however, is sushi. Which is what I had. Avocado roll filled with bits of tempura batter was a satisfying mid-afternoon snack. The other sushi items ordered at my table looked fresh and went over well(salmon and something in the crab family). Miso soup is $ 1.75 a bowl and we all ordered that to start. Other dishes include different kinds of udon noodle soups, tempura, and donburi(meat on rice) which included pork, chicken, beef, and even tofu. Almost everything here is under $ 10. Service is very friendly, and a mistake with my order was dealt with very professionally. While the food is not quite on the same level as other places like Ichiban or Mikado, you get good value for a low price. If you are in the west end, craving Japanese food, and on a budget, head to Moshi Moshi.
