Being Valentine’s day my sister and I always without a doubt end up seeing each other no matter if we have plans for the day or not. Since it’s a Sunday and it happens to be heart day we ventured into Noorish café. I go for yoga here but right after yoga I usually just head home, after today I may just sit and stay for an elixir or 2. We did not make reservations and believe me you need to on love day because oh my it was busy. We had a Choice to sit at the bar or by the window, we choose the window. The window seats were great actually, very bright and we ppl watched just like Montréal. Watching the whyte ave characters was just as entertaining as reading a book. We started with the love potion(with white rum) since it was on their special for the day and ordered the golden potatoes cakes for appetizer right away. Looking through the menu everything sounds delicious. I was teetering on Pad Thai or Buddha bowl, I got Buddha bowl. My sister got the Raw Perogies with the house salad. Our server was great, although it was extremely busy she was very attentive. Our drinks came fast and it tasted great. For some reason the taste reminded me of the foyer of some yoga studio, which is not bad. It could be one of the herbs??? The potatoes cakes came and it looked nice, simple and tastes good. It was not overwhelming but still very good. Our mains took a bit longer but we countered in how busy the place is and they probably cook to order since the food comes out fresh. When our meal finally arrived and it did not disappoint. My Buddha bowl smelled and looked so salivating. My sister’s perogies looked fresh and vibrant. We dug in! My tongue was raw from the day before with having hot pot so I had a feeling it would feel uncomfortable with eating this hot comfort food. The Buddha bowl was just amazing… the crunch from the almonds added great texture to the nice coconut flavored sauce and the brown rice/quinoa was the best combo. I was in heaven. Unfortunately I could not finish it but I took the rest home which is half the bowl! The portion size was awesome!(Lunch for work!) My sister seemed to enjoy her meal too but all I could see was her inhaling the dish. After we shared the dessert special. I cannot remember the name but I know there were coconut cream on top, chocolate bottom crust, and strawberry purée. It was absolutely divine. To end everything my sister ordered the noorishmint dream for something hot to drink to go. I adore this place, the atmosphere, the fresh food, and the people. It’s a great vegan restaurant with a yoga studio that’s attached. I highly recommend this place to vegans who can afford to have a nice time out. Just remember you are paying for all the above so don’t complain about the price, if you are one of those whiners just go to the farmers markets and chop up your own veggies. And I’m trying to say this in the most kindest way possible. I definitely will be back.

I’ve been here for both brunch and dinner, and I can say that both experiences have left me quite amazed and even bewildered. Really, this stuff is vegetarian? But vegetarian sounds so flavourless, and boring. Wrong again, Bonnie, wrong again. My first experience was brunch where I had the eggless breakfast scrambler. It was amazing! Filling and tasty! The coconut bacon they use here is magical. For dinner, I had the delicious kale chips($ 7) to start and share with a friend, and it was a really great size for sharing. Main courses were the Raw Perogies and Truffle Mac’n’Cheese, both with a side beet salad. I highly recommend either of these dishes. The perogies are crazy creative & healthy! No guilt here! I ate half a dozen raw perogies and feel great! For dessert, we had the blackberry vanilla cheesecake, which our server said was the«healthiest cheesecake in Edmonton». He rambled off everything that was in it, and I didn’t hear sugar or cheese, so he must be right ;) Let me say, it was so friggen good. Creamy, not heavy, just perfect! I think the crust was even made of flax seed. But I kid you not, it was DELICIOUS! The one drawback for me here is perhaps the prices. Not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of. Noorish can get away with their prices as it’s a speciality restaurant, with creative & delicious vegetarian dishes. The main dishes we had were $ 17-$ 18, but add an extra $ 3 for the upgrade of your side to anything but spring mix, and $ 2 for those delicious coconut bacon chips on the mac’n’cheese, and you’re at over $ 20 per entrée. Then the server told me my raw pirogies were a «light» meal, so add $ 7 for the kale chips starter. They also have a fantastic menu of elixirs, which I highly recommend, ranging in price from $ 7 — $ 9. And of course, you’ll be tempted with dessert, and really, the $ 11 cheesecake is worth it. So you see what I mean when I say the bill can get quite high. Overall, I think if you even have an inkling of an interest to try this place, you should as I doubt you’d be disappointed.

Can’t say enough good things about this place . Today I had the gratitude to greens drink. Full of veg and fruit !!! Along with there special of the day, avacado coconut bacon grilled cheese with a carrot soup in coconut creamy broth. The soup had a little kick to it which was right on point. Not over stuffed and ready for the afternoon.

After eating at many raw food and vegan friendly restaurants, Noorish was a very big let down. I tried to order three different things on the menu at lunch and they were out of all three main entrees. I did have a chickpea burger, which was very bland and had a pretty soggy bun. Their salad was okay but pretty bitter for my taste. Their server had forgotten to add the tofu chicken and rice to my chicken and wild rice soup, but it was never taken off/discounted off my bill. I admit they do make a pretty mean dessert here but the prices are pretty absurd… The service was below average, lots of girls on staff but couldn’t really be bothered to work.

One of the best vegan/vegetarian spots I’ve been to in Edmonton. I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. The interior is nice, although a bit cramped. Service is quite good. Food is very good, although a bit pricey. Would definitely come back. Raw Pad Thai highly recommended!!!

I didn’t really like the Mac n cheese. Tasted too much like noodles. The burger was not that great neither.

I like to come to Noorish when I want to treat myself or others. I love the atmosphere of this place; vibrant team, unique décor, and nice melodic music~ the elixir bar is outta this world too. There’s also a boutique where you can splurge on some superfood goodies, or some new essential oils and jewellery. This place cares about health and wellness, and I only leave the place inspired and nourished: mind, body soul! ~:)

Bam. Well Edmonton, you’re killing me. Living in Calgary brings with it a lot of sacrifice, from the weather to the food — it’s challenging. After my last bodybuilding competition in Edmonton, I headed straight to Noorish(who stayed open a little late for us) to get my first amazing reload meal in weeks… after 4 months of training — OMG. My family had flown in from YVR and more family drove in from St. Paul — we were NOT disappointed. The poutine was to die for. The desserts were killer… the kale chips — nom nom nom. I’m reliving this now a month later and am salivating… because I’m training again. What an amazing spot. This restaurant has me fully committed to driving up to YEG a couple of times per year for the great food and wonderful service. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Went to noorish yesterday for a treat after dinner elsewhere. Asked what the to go cup looked like for their elixirs. Woman held up a decent sized cup, so for $ 8.50 I agreed to get one. My friend ordered the gingerbread elixir(7.50) and I ordered the chaga chai(8.50). They gave me the size cup they had shown, and my friends to go cup was half the size. I asked why the huge size difference and the bartender told me the cups difference in size was an, «illusion» I told her to pour the smaller sized cup in the same size as mine then if it was an illusion. Where she responded«oh uh well it’s 5 ounces smaller» doesn’t seem fair when your paying top dollar for these drinks.

One of my top two vegan restaurants in town! Being the carnivore that i am, I’m always pleasantly surprised that I’m stuffed after every meal I’ve had at Noorish. Nothing is ever too saucy, spicy or salty so for those looking for a decent kick in calories while indulging in guilt-free eats — this is a solid bet. P. S. try the rainbow root poutine, you won’t regret it. the vegan gravy is amazingly delicious.

OK, I realize this is my third review for Noorish. Well, opinions change! I still enjoy this restaurant, particularly because it offers a lot of niche dining choices(local, organic, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc) that are in demand, though not necessarily because I fit into those categories. I also appreciate that the menu is very unique compared to most other restaurants I’ve been to/other restaurants in the area, and that a lot of the unusual/rare ingredients used in the drinks and meals are available for purchase separately at the back of the store. The crowd here is great, I have never had a bad experience with staff. In fact, staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that my visits have been positive whenever possible, even offering to take back a dish that I didn’t care for(I didn’t take them up on this as there was nothing objectively wrong with the meal). The quality of the ingredients is always high as well. The menu has gone through changes in the past year, and some of the popular dishes have survived(e.g., the Bodhi burger, which my husband loves) but unfortunately some of my favorites were cut(e.g., the warm version of the rose cacao kiss). Three times in my last five visits I have become very nauseous after eating here(I am not aware of any food allergies, so I have no idea what this is about), and the other two times I left hungry, despite spending a relatively large sum of money. I also found some of the portions to be very small for the price(e.g., the root vegetable poutine and the raw tacos). At this point I am still a fan of Noorish, I recommend trying it if you haven’t already. I think Noorish has many good qualities … I just don’t know if it’s the right place for me any more. We’ll see!

Our server was great helping us navigate thru the menu and recommending dishes. We had the Root Vegetables with Cashew Cheese. Very flavorful. The Macaroni and Cheese with Truffle Oil would be enjoyed by vegans and non vegans alike. The specialty drinks/elixirs were outstanding.

The food is great if you’re a vegan and want to be able to eat out. I had the Bodhi Burger, which was probably the best choice out of the group of 10 that I went with. It was filling and the veggies were so fresh. Although the food was good, the service was extremely slow. It looked like there was only one server for the inside of the restaurant and we were a party of 10. The server took forever to take our drink orders and then to bring out the drinks and food. Also, I wasn’t a fan of sitting in what appeared to be the waiting area. We had to put our food on our laps in order to eat because the table was too low. Hopefully they don’t continue to seat people in this area if they are eating. Wouldn’t be as bad if it was just drinks. Overall they’ve done a good job capturing the vegan concept in every part of their menu(food and drinks) but they could work on their service.

I have certain allergies and some foods that don’t agree with me. Being a vegan, I love coming here. The staff are extremely helpful with my allergies(can’t have almonds or apple cider vinegar, among other things, which is almost always in vegan dishes). And they don’t make me feel like I’m being difficult even though I know I am. They’ll pull out an iPad and look at all of the ingredients or go back and ask the chef, and then give me other options. I highly recommend this place. Even my meat-eating husband likes going here!

It keeps getting better here! I just had the BBQ Bacon Burger and it was literally the best burger I’ve ever had, vegan or non! It had an awesome home made bbq sauce on it and a wonderfully crispy sprouted chickpea patty. It also scored bonus points for using my favorite coconut bacon. Service is always friendly and they remember you when you’re a regular. Their new patio is fantastic! And their new summer menu launches tomorrow! Check it out!

I’ve been meaning to try this vegetarian restaurant for a while and was not disappointed. I tried the BBQ Bacon Burger because I wanted to try the coconut bacon. I got the burger with the Kale Caesar in the side and got extra bacon it! The bacon was great in the salad but a little hard to taste in the burger as it got lost in the other flavours. I was impressed by the amount of food on the plate. It was certainly worth the cost of the meal as I took half the burger home and had it for lunch the next day. I’d definitely go back. Be aware that parking is tight in the area. Bring change to park on the street or if you manage to park in the back, be ready to move your vehicle during your meal in case you block someone else in.

I finally visited this place for the very first time and was impressed by both the food being less expensive than I had been led to believe, and the range of beverages one could choose from. When I finally picked an entrée from the menu, I chose the truffle mac ‘n’ cheese along with a kale caesar salad. I really loved the coconut bacon on my kale caesar! And the mac ‘n’ cheese had such a good truffle flavour too! Because I was with a larger group we were seated on cushions by a low coffee table rather than a regular table to eat our meal which was a bit awkward. It might be better to come here with a smaller group as a result. The food was liked by all in our group and I think we’d all be likely to return again sometime soon. The server was really helpful when it came to answering our questions and modifying dishes as necessary. I doubt this is a place I will visit terribly frequently as I don’t have too many friends who are likely to come here frequently, but when I do visit I’ll enjoy exploring the menu options!

I have never been to a vegan restaurant before. A friend had recommended us here. The place smelt amazing. That was the first thing I noticed as we walked in. Friendly atmosphere and beautiful décor. It was also very busy so we sat at the window bar. We didn’t mind. Book ahead if you want a table. Our server was very nice. He asked if we had been there before. Two of us had not. So he explained the menu and ingredients, he made suggestions, and answered any questions we had. The menu is small but everything on it was appealing. We had a poutine to share as well as the hummus. Delicious! Very flavourful! I had an apricot beer which was suggested to me. It was a little over priced for the beer($ 12) but I enjoyed it! I ordered the butter chicken and waffles. Gluten free and a soy based chicken alternative. Again delicious. Lots of spice and flavour but not a «hot spicy». We had a great time. I have to go back to try out the rest of the menu! Also note that there is limited parking in the area so add a bit of time for that.

Wow first time at Noorish was a success. After just moving to Edmonton my boyfriend and I have been looking for healthy local sources restaurants I can eat at(thanks to many food sensitivities). In all my travels Noorish is the first of its kind. A resultant that finally gets the purpose of food is not just to fill your body but to nourish it! I suppose I should have got that from the title but I assure you it’s not just a play on words. Their vegan, gluten free, artificial sweetener free menu is so original and warm. That doesn’t even cover their amazingly awesome elixirs that will blow your mind. After not being about to have chocolate for a year I drank what was literally the healthiest hot coco I have ever had. Thank you Noorish you inspire my platte. Also thanks for the free yoga drop in class! Sincerely one big chocoholic!

Excellent food, service and décor. People who complain about the service just don’t realize that amazing healthy food takes time! My only«beef» lol, is that it is expensive, though it is quality and is made with care and is a rare jem, in a world of shitty GMO, shitty food with toxic oils and ingredients. Phad Thai was great, mud pie amazing. Intense healing elixirs are truly medicinal.
