Papa John’s Pizza

This was my first time ever ordering from Papa John’s. I had a serious craving for some pizza and was recommended this place!
I tried to use their online ordering option and was very disappointed. It was difficult to navigate so I decided to just call. Which was just as painful! The service was thorough and friendly, but a lot of questions and repeating everything I had already agreed to. Maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but it was a pain and I just wanted an ordinary pepperoni pizza and believe it should take 15 mins on the phone to do so. Whether it’s talking to someone or just pressing a few options in an app.
So, the lovely lady on the phone said it would be ready for pick up at my selected location in apx 15 mins. Being a punctual person I was there right on time. Sadly, my pizza was not quite ready. Happily, I only waited about 5 mins!
My pizza was as ordered but I was expecting bacon slices like pictured on the website, not crumbled bacon bits. But it was still a relatively good pizza! Not the best I’ve had in the city, but worth the price!
I suggest taking advantage of their check in deal and on Mondays they offer a medium one topping pizza for $ 6! A great deal :-)
I will likely try PJs again, but probably only on Mondays!

Enjoyable pizza and a good price. Not special but not bad. If you’re thinking of pizza 73 this is a better choice

have to give a Unilocal out to papa john for their great 6 dollar deal on monday’s for their 1 topping pizza. Unfortunately I cant give a higher grade then 3 for today’s experience. Papa John has a lot going for it compared to the other chain pizza guys and I hope my future visits will result in a better experience for me. Today I ordered 3 pizzas and got charged a bit over 20 dollars which of course was a couple bucks too much. Im not normally a complaining type and was in a hurry so I didnt really care alot but it hurts the score here. I found out when I got the pizzas home that the reason i got charged was they had put 2 toppings on one of the pizzas and charged me for it. Im not sure what the second topping was… maybe anchovies?

accidents will happen, but they do effect ratings. Also, the pizza was a bit too dry for my taste. I can fix that by ordering extra sause next time im sure. Taste wise, this isnt world class pizza but then again for 6 bucks you cant expect world class pizza. There are other deals at papa john’s too and if you take advantage of them, then I feel this is about the best value going in the discount pizza marketplace.
You do get a free dipping sause and a free pepperconi pepper with every pizza too… cant ever argue against free giveaways :)
all in all, I hope this review comes off as a thumbs up. the pizza was filling as all pizza’s are. It definitely was better tasting then the frozen stuff you pick up at the supermarket and actually cheaper then alot of those frozen choices too.

Lots of pizza joints in the RiverBend area but this place tastes Way better than the rest. But not sure about the garlic dipping sauce, go with the blue cheese. Overall you’ll be happy with food and service.
