The friendly neighbourhood grocery store. The store has been in Wellington for a long time and has recently changed hands. It used to be more of a full service grocery store and now has a convenience store and a bit more vibe. They have a lot of options for the typical convenience type foods and sometimes some fresh produce and baking supplies. if you need lottery and tobacco that is also there. A big thing they added this summer was the screamer slush machines which were Amazing!!! It has really good hours for a store in such a tiny neighbourhood and are open until 10 everyday which is great if you get the late night snack attacks. They staff are always friendly too which is a must for a community shop. The only downside is it is a bit on the pricey end, which you come to expect for the convenience when something is right in your backyard. Otherwise a nice little shop!

I absolutely love this mini-grocery store in my neighbourhood. It has saved me dozens of times. Tonight, while I was making some Valentine’s Day cookies for my co-workers, I realized I was out of hard margarine and really low on icing sugar. I can’t have Valentine’s Day cookies without frosting! This little store has all of the basics, along with fresh produce, meat, frozen & dairy. If it’s a normal everyday item that you’re looking for, they’ll likely have it. Some of the prices seem pretty high, but I do my best to buy things on special. Seeing how it was an emergency and I didn’t want to drive all the way to Safeway/Superstore, I paid a reasonable price. It was perfect, as I needed to get back to the kitchen. I’m not sure of the hours, I just made it with 20 minutes to spare, but round trip was only 5 minutes. Can’t beat that. The walk from my car to pick out the items I would have needed at Superstore would have been more than that. Plus, it’s likely there would have been some impulse items.
