If you are looking for a reasonably-priced bottle of wine or some hard liquor, Spirits on Jasper has an excellent selection. Beer — not so much. However, if you are into the standard brands, you should find it here.

Depending on what you come here for, you might have a better experience than I do(I just about never purchase hard liquors). Their wine selection is decent(I assume since they have quite a few) but they never have any bottles that I’m looking for… and I don’t think my tastes are all that refined or anything. Their beer selection is awful — they just have the standard Coors, Canadian, Bud, etc. The only ‘speciality’ beer really was Grasshopper… not really any good other local beers or anything from smaller breweries.

I really like this liquor store. It’s right next to a newly re-done Mac’s convenience store which is handy for purchasing some cola to go along with the vodka. They’ve got wine tastings every Friday. I used to work near here and attend the wine tastings each week after work. It’s a great way to check out different wines without having to pay and pray. My favourite thing about this store is that they carry root beer schnapps! It’s the only store I’ve seen it available! I bought a mickey of it the first time I saw it and have been back to purchase the big bottles ever since!

Spirits on Jasper is my usual liquor store, purely because I can walk about a 60-second diagonally-straight line and be standing in front of their cooler. There’s nothing exceptional about it at all: it’s small, its beer selection is small(but has everything the average consumer might need) and its wine selection is small(and never has what I’m looking for), but it’s the closest by about 20 meters and sometimes that’s what counts. When you live in an area that has more liquor stores in a ten-block radius than you can count on your fingers, they all start to look the same anyway.
