I’ve only been to this location a couple times and both instances were quite pleasant. The staff seems friendly enough, however one of the ladies taking my order seemed like she was a bit frantic or something. Maybe she was just wanting to close up for the night. Other than that lady I find the parking is in a little complex that is tough to navigate when it’s as packed as it was. It’s more or less exactly what I expect from a Starbucks. I have nothing bad to say about the drinks though. They’re delicious.

I’ve been using starbucks as a second office for years. I just moved my family to a nearby location and so I’ve begun frequenting this starbucks. Food and drinks are good. The place is clean. But the staff seem really stressed out or something. The lady at the front counter was just acting weird and saying strange things, and she needed me to repeat myself a few times. The other staff didn’t seem aware of the fact I stood at the counter for two minutes hoping to get a packet of honey. Again, it’s 7:00AM on a Saturday, I wouldn’t blame them for being exhausted. I’m sure I’ll add more stars once the staff gets friendlier and more present.

Mmmmm… Venti, triple expresso, vanilla bean late… Skinny of course :-) No one does a late like Starbucks. But for what they charge, they should be good. A tiny point of contention though… Their drivethrough may be great for a Prius… But not a truck. Get out and walk in. The bonus is the smell of a coffee house will greet you as you walk through the doors and everything will be fine from then on.

I’m not usually a Starbucks guy. I wanted a coffee and was on the way to visit friends; if I showed up with one coffee, I’d have to put up with sad puppy dog eyes, so I stopped at the local Starbucks. There really aren’t that many other options in the suburbs of West Edmonton. I actually think the coffee and the espresso are pretty average and certainly not worth what they charge for it. But, this stuff is way popular and well branded. I mean walk into a real Italian café and try that Tall, Grande, Vente thing and watch the retarded child look you’re going to get. Only Tall means something to a European barista and it ain’t what you get a Starbucks. A «tall» coffee is a single expresso made with twice the normal amount of milk as a «short». It’s not a «size»; it’s more volume because you’re asking for more milk versus the more common«short». Similarly at a bar, you can ask for your highball in a «short» or «tall» glass; same drink, more mix. If they get that much wrong, how good can the coffee really be? The really annoying thing is that this location has a drive-thru window. Who’s brainwave was that? They have customers both inside and outside and one barista. So, guess what? There is a long suffering line in front of the counter and one snaking around the building. Additionally, you have no real sense of where you are in line or when you can reasonably expect your order to come up. The staff look stressed out; the bartista definitely is and there isn’t a customer with a smile on their face for a good thirty paces. Oh, what a good time.

Coffee was overrated and not very impressive. Barista added whipped cream even though I didn’t ask for it. This location is very small and felt claustrophobic at times. I also do not like their selection of music for purchase. Nothing wrong with the selection itself, but why would I go to Starbucks to buy a cd? The pastry offered was a bit dry as well. The panini bread was dry and they seemed to skimp on the meat. Again, I’m at Starbucks to drink their coffee, not get a sandwich. If I wanted a Sandwich, I would go over to Safeway or Quiznos nearby. This location has a drive-thru window and wireless internet available if you choose to use it.
